I was greeted immediately by Michelle, who I had been speaking with on the phone to set up the appointment. Nice to place a face with a name! She was professional, courteous, and of course, let me know it would only be a couple minutes before I was up. Sure enough, within 4 minutes Beate came out and introduced herself as my hygienist for the day. Pleasant, professional, and super thorough- my cleaning went about as flawlessly as could be expected. She spoke about the things she was doing so that I didn't wonder what was happening. Sometimes in the past, I have been delayed or waited a long time to see the Dr. when the cleaning was wrapping up. Dr. Bowns was in to see me within 2 minutes of finishing with Beate. He is pleasant, easy to talk with, and I found it refreshing that I was in and out of the office in less than one hour. They will bill my insurance company, and if there is anything I have extra I'll get a call. I cannot say this enough- when you have a new service provider and it works out this well, it's a great feeling! The cleaning was pleasant, quick, and thorough. Paula has also been a tremendous help with all my complicated billing questions. She even knew everything about dental insurance questions/claims for teachers who work for Gwinnett County. I highly recommend coming here, if even to save yourself from the insurance headache questions. Dr. Bae, who I have now gone to for 2 different treatment appointments (once for 3 fillings on the bottom right, once for 2 fillings on the bottom left) and she is just superb. She answered my questions about insurance and was able to fit me in that afternoon due to a cancellation. When I arrived, I checked in with Jessie who had a personality that was welcoming, friendly, and very bubbly. Together Isabelle and Jessie were a dream team and went above and beyond for me. Both ladies had such positive attitudes, were so respectful to one another with the kind words they used when interacting with one another and the other patients. I met with Dr. Cho who was very timely, direct, informative, and suggested an immediate plan of action. Dr. Cho answered all of my questions thoroughly and allowed me to me to feel at ease and I instantly felt very confident snd comfortable with my upcoming surgery. Incidentally, I filed a complaint with the GA Dental licensing Board against this doctor. I miss Doctor Bain [retired] and the former head nurse. They cared and they took care of patients. In my opinion Doctor Kang is a heartless individual and should get education on how to treat patients who are often suffering. She treated me coldly and refused to help during terrible pain. After a year and a half of failed treatment, not only do I not have teeth, but I also have no bone. All the bone where the implants were placed had to be surgically removed because it was infected and necrotic. It required two surgeries to remove all the bone and I was on IV antibiotics for over 2 months. I literally could have died from this infection. Now I will have to live the rest of my life with no bottom teeth. Not only can I never have implants, I also can't wear any sort of partial denture because there is no bone there for it to sit on. Hopefully this review will spare someone else the physical and emotional pain I went through.
