The absolute worst experience with a dentist in my life. I have tried to give the benefit of the doubt and gone in multiple times, but I have had enough. Everytime I come in the dentist has not a clue about my history. I have come in with a history of abscesses and a history of jaw surgeries and the dentist I saw does not do anything. They examine and send me back where I came from. I am always being sent to other offices, they are reluctant to even prescribe and antibiotic even with my history. I have left every time frustrated, in pain, and unsure what to do because they don't hear me. The front desk girl I saw today was the first person I interacted with that seemed to genuinely care I was struggling and in severe pain. Go anywhere else for your dentistry needs. read more

I visited the office in December 2023, right before the holidays. I had never been in prior to this appointment. When calling for hours to find an oral surgeon for an urgent condition, I was blessed enough to speak with Isabelle. She answered my questions about insurance and was able to fit me in that afternoon due to a cancellation. Isabelle was very helpful, kind, and extremely calming and caring when I was very anxious and worried. When I arrived, I checked in with Jessie who had a personality that was welcoming, friendly, and very bubbly. Together Isabelle and Jessie were a dream team and went above and beyond for me. Both ladies had such positive attitudes, were so respectful to one another with the kind words they used when interacting with one another and the other patients. I met with Dr. Cho who was very timely, direct, informative, and suggested an immediate plan of action. Dr. Cho answered all of my questions thoroughly and allowed me to me to feel at ease and I instantly felt very confident snd comfortable with my upcoming surgery. The team was able to fit me in right before Christmas, as opposed to having to wait until January, which was beyond appreciated. Jessie stayed late to call insurance companies, after her work hours and even called me to give me an update on what to expect. This is unheard of in a world of mediocre at best service and communication. Jessie's clear communication and immediate follow-up were amazing! She scheduled my procedure for the following day, amazingly! Another member of the team called me to follow up after the procedure was completed to see how I was feeling and asked did I have any questions or concerns since arriving home. Together the team resolved my issue and made it such a positive experience. Overall, this team was amazing and such a blessing to me! Their kindness, professionalism, and exceptional service were appreciated and I want them to be recognized and applauded for the role each played in getting me back to being healthy. Really bad insurance and billing service! Stay away if you don't want to pay everything out of pocket even with good insurance plan. The Oral Surgeon office did pre-authorization on our behalf for my son's wisdom teeth removal well before the appointment for the procedure in July 20022. Then they messed up with the claim and sent me a bill two years later September 2024 with the original balance and outrageous late fee. read more

By far the best dental place I have ever been to! Very cute and cozy as well! I had bad experiences at other dental places earlier, so I was afraid of dentists. Period. After my exam check up they changed my experience with dentists forever! My hygienist took care of me and guided me step by step. I have never been more excited to return for my 6month check up. My family and I would not recommend Dental Town to anyone. The experiences my wife have had from Dr. Ryan Schwindeman and Dr. Beeson have been horrible. From crowns that completely fall apart after 1-2 years to procedures without the proper numbing assistance. Started going here as a family few years ago and loved Dr Schwendiman. He moved to forsyth & so we started seeing Dr Beeson who is equally nice. Pandemic hit us hard - lost job and insurance so stopped for few months but then decided to take Cobra just so that we could keep same dentist. Experience after we came back has been bad and today was painful and traumatic for my child. Jan 1st week after annual cleaning: Front desk Dany (Daniel) was confused & did not know which doctor evaluated my child even though she had the records open on the screen. when she asked the young dentist a question in front of me I told her he is not my child's dentist. all this after she had told me she is our dentist Dr Beeson's assistant and gave me her card for anything related to my kids appointments & treatment. Filling App on Jan 4th: app time @ 4 PM. We were taken into room 18 min late, sat in room & waited another 25 min before dentist shows up (43 min total after our app time). To my surprise it wasn't our dentist. I was not happy that i was not told different dentist is doing fillings - I saw how the dentist (Drew Taylor) worked on my daughter without walking us through each step - I get a feeling in my gut that something is not right as i watch him work and felt he is taking too long digging one tooth - he did not look confident either - next thing he hits my daughters nerve and she said it is hurting her - only then he says he hit a nerve - he tries to cover it by saying x-rays don't show how deep a cavity is. daughter now needs root canal and crown which they don't do and have asked us to see someone else. another tooth he took almost 20 minutes and 4-6 different things in trying to put a spacer before filling. Came home and my daughter has pain in the tooth he hit the nerve PLUS one he was struggling to put spacer. I had asked Dr Taylor how long he has been practicing and he said 2 years. front desk told me he joined 5 months ago, went back and asked him and he said he was practicing in Florida before. I google him and see he graduated in 2021 - how is he practicing for 2 years when this is first job after graduating?? he said he will cover all treatment cost including root canal and crown. I am so angry and frustrated at the front desk lady who messed everything up and the doctor who butchered my daughter. she had to go back to dorm in two days and now we have multiple visits - time and money, pain and suffering for a mistake by a dentist because of front desk messing my appointments. needing a root canal and crown instead of simple filling. I feel he drilled the other tooth also too deep as well as that is hurting her as well. Dentist and his assistant also spend 15 minutes to put one spacer in, they left a piece of cement on daughters lip which did not come off for 3 days - she scraped it down by using toothbrush multiple times a day -- all this shows inexperience and bad practice. As a Mom i feel i should have gone with my initial feeling to rescheduled the appointment the minute we found it is different dentist and that too a rookie. since we were being asked to come after 2 days after spending 43 min waiting and when my daughter is not available I decided to proceed with this dentist. We spent over 2.5 hours there to get 3 fillings done. Feel very angry, frustrated cheated & disappointed. update: we got next day appointment at same practice to do root canal. after root canal we had another appointment for temp crown. daughter was still experiencing pain and was given antibiotics. After the incident it became a pain to make any appointment and i knew they were making things difficult. we had to wait as daughter got covid. went back on 2/24 to get crown and daughter said she still has pain to sweet and sensitivity to cold. Dr Beeson looked and said it is tooth in front and to wait and watch it - that sounded weird cause if someone is complaining of pain to sweets and cold that means it needs filling. Anyhow final bill was not given and told Office manager Samantha will get back to me. today 3/1 still waiting for samantha to call me or respond to my email and voicemail, I did receive a letter in mail saying they will not be able to treat my family. I knew they would do something like this when they tried to make it difficult for me to make appointments for my kids. Just beware of the practice - some doctors are great stay with them and don't let them make you a guinea pig to new doctor to practice on. I did share my daughters x-rays after root canal which shows very untidy core built up. Just an FYI there were also some billing issues and i had to guide their office manager on what my copay was as the estimate given to me by them was higher and when i got quote from my insurance for same my portion was lower - Samantha did fix this however had i not caught it i am sure i would have paid much higher read more

In Dec. My 80 year old mother went in .paid 140 for xray.the tooth is infected. She doesn't have ins. Referred her out for further test or told her to schedule to pull it . She took antibiotics for 2 weeks.in alot of pain. I called many times to schedule to pull it. Finally, I had to drive there to talk to someone to schedule to pull it. Then had to wait a week to get that appointment. Finally she will be in no pain and pull the tooth!!! But, that did not happen! Instead was told they did not have time to pull it today!! But had time to do another xray!!!! A 300 $ xray!!!! The second xray on a tooth they will pull!!!!! And scheduled her appointment tomorrow to pull the tooth because she was cryin!!!! This is no way to treat a patient!!! And it's a 20% charge for us to put this 600$ visit on a credit card.! I wish I had stopped this before I had to drive there to talk to someone in the first place! Very dissatisfied all the way around. read more

Entire office built like a Main Street downtown. Hygienist n dentists are fabulous. Kids love the TVs on the ceiling so they can watch their kid movie while having their teeth done. Good distraction. Worst experience with Dr Ryan Schwendiman. My son went in for a consult for a congenital problem with his mouth. He was recommended to me by Ashley the sweet office manager with this practice when I called for an appointment. From the word go, Dr Schwendiman acted as if we were a waste of his time and my son left feeling like his mouth is hopeless and it is definitely not hopeless! Why would you say things to make a kid feel like he has 0 chance of a normal mouth? His mouth will just require work by someone who actually cares about kids and has the knowledge to handle a more complicated dental procedure other than basic cavities. We left this office after less than 5 minutes and Dr Schwendiman hastily dismissing us saying, "I'll do it, but I don't care anything about it." I can't remember ever being treated so badly by any doctor that works with kids. Just not a nice guy. If you're thinking of bringing your child here I would steer clear of this one and maybe choose a different doctor in the practice. Dr Crosby an orthodontist with this practice has always been very kind and helpful with my son. Maybe this guy was just having a really bad day, but I'll never be back for any of their services and will not recommend. read more

This is a great pediatric dentist. I ended up going to them because they were the only dentist that I could find that offered enamel crowns as opposed to only stainless steel. I had been told my son needed six of them and the thought of that much metal in his mouth had me freaking out. Then I went, and was amazed that they felt my son only needed one crown and some porcelain fillings. The office and staff are amazing. The place is peaceful, fun and everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. I have to drive and hour and fifteen minutes to this place, but it is super worth it. My kids love the Suwanee office and look forward to their appointments every 6 months. My one concern is the frequency of x-rays taken. This is the first dentist we have gone to since moving from FL. The dentist in FL took x-rays once a year and if they had a cavity it was filled, the end. My daughter has had x-rays wayyyyy to many times in my opinion to "watch" a possible cavity. They even did bite wings AND a panoramic in the same visit-which I regret allowing them to do. Yesterday, I took my son who is 9, and before his teeth were even looked at they asked to do a panoramic x-ray. His teeth are perfect with no cavities. I am currently debating whether I am just going to try and refuse all the many x-rays they want to do and stick to my guns and allow them once a year, or go somewhere else. Adorable! Cutest office ever. The environment and staff really make going to the dentist fun for kids. I wish they had a dentist like this when I was a kid! It was my daughter's dentist visit and she loved the fish and looking at the TV on the ceiling while she got her teeth cleaned. My only small complaint was the attire was a little casual. When I first met the dentist I thought he was just a dad in the office. He had on jeans and a t-shirt. To be fair, upon further inspection it was a Dental Town t-shirt (I said it was a small complaint), but I think scrubs or a white would set him apart. Over all great. I don't have enough time to write about all of the things I love about John's Creek Dental Town! My daughter has been going there since she was 2. She is now about to be 6. She absolutely LOVES going to the dentist. The office has a lot of neat toys for her to play with. From the front office staff to the dentist, everyone is wonderful. We have seen several different hygientists and they have all been great. Dr. Hansen seems to truly care about his patients. He makes us feel like he is so happy that we are there. You can tell that they specialize in children's dentistry. The way they interact with the children is fabulous. They use words the kids can understand and are so calm and patient. Trust me guys they will rip you off. You will get bills which you are not expecting and also not covered for not being preferred provider. Mary will never give you correct information and she will keep saying just wait for the estimates. Make sure every procedure is done by same provider. I got bill from someone who was not covered because of out of network and these bunch of idiots never told me. You will realized when you will receive unexpected bills (1000+). Service is also worst. This is a great dentist for kids. My kids have been coming here since their first cleaning and they've never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly and really know how to entertain kids while cleaning / xrays etc. The office is very cute and there are lots of things to distract kids from the potentially scary things that can go on in a dentist office. I have never felt like they are trying to 'upsell' me for things the kids don't need, if they suggest something that I don't think is needed, I just say 'no thanks' and they don't push. read more

This place is amazing! The hygienists are really skilled in what they do from adults to children. The doctors are very conservative and talented and they never push treatment. They always give several options regarding treatment. It is a very efficient practice that cares for every patient. I always leave feeling like family and so do my children.
