He had the products I wanted and was very friendly with a great product knowledge. We installed a rather high end system and there were a few problems getting the technology to work. The system works wonderfully well and Mark and his crew were fantastic to work with. I would never consider working with anyone else. January 18, 2013. It has been a bit over four months since the system was installed and the tech problems continue with the video on the cameras. Reps from Honeywell are coming out with the technician. Video problems solved and everything works the way it should. I am having smoke detectors and light modules put in later this week. Waiting to see how all things work out.

I recently got this system July31 from defenders Inc/protect your home. During the security walk thru I was informed I had a 30 day trial period which I specifically asked about due to going out to sea( I'm in the military) This trial period is actually 3 days in the contract(which the installer accidentally sent to the wrong email). When I went to cancel due to poor customer service as well as other reasons such as some of those listed next . One reason had to call 4 times to get the contract as well as for the gift card which I still never received. Another reason is the system also had several false fire alarms late at night some of which I was present for some I wasn't. I was charged 75% of my contract a fee that was almost $1600 as well as not refunded for the 1600 worth of equipment I purchased in July.This organization has several reviews and such with similar things all over the internet. A short google search will tell you that they have a tendency to try to stick it to you or fail to adequately explain the trial period and canceling while having items such as the 3 day period in the lengthy contract. Be aware defenders customer service as well as corporate have done nothing to remedy this as they used a third party to install so they feel they are not responsible for what the contracted out or agreements made in their name.

Had a 65" flatscreen TV installed using an existing TV wall mount kit. At the time of…read moreinstallation, I thought the mounting was performed satisfactorily. Only after a couple of weeks later did I notice that some wires in the back of the TV needed to be better organized and secured. My ethernet cable was wedged (pinched) between the mounting bracket and wall plate when it had not been with the previous flatscreen TV, so I concluded that it occurred during this installation. Called the business back on a Friday to address the issue and the owner indicated he would stop by my home to fix the problem on the following Monday, but that was the last time he communicated with me (I texted him over the weekend but he did not respond). I also left a voice message but received no reply. I subsequently freed the ethernet cable from the pinched position, and the wire was damaged (protective sheath exposed) but was still functional. My advice to others is to be wary that the business owner may not contact you after services are rendered and paid and make sure your wires are tidy during installation.

Tri-Tronics came to my rescue again today. Over the weekend one of my security system sensors…read moredeveloped a fault before the system was activated for the night. I heard nothing but kept getting automated calls from Central Monitoring. If I didn't get to the phone in time both my trusted contacts and I got text messages. It became awful in the hour before midnight with one call after another. After the system was armed & I was in bed I received a call from a real person at Central Monitoring. It was about 1:30am. So I asked her if she could turn off notifications for that sensor until I could get Tri-Tronics out to correct the problem. After confirming my identity she did just that. When I got up this morning (late from lack of sleep) I called and spoke with Alexis, the owner. She promised to send Justin, my and the dog's favorite technician, out within the next two hours. He came even sooner. Justin reset my system, which he said could possibly correct the problem. He also offered me option of ordering a new sensor, which is the option I chose. At my request he turned off the errant sensor to assure the problem didn't reoccur before the new sensor arrived, Once again Tri-Tronics came to my rescue quickly. The system has made me feel so much more secure since my husband died. The value versus the cost of the system over the years has been immeasurable. It has just continued to work with sensor battery replacements every few years. Thank you Tri-Tronics, and especially Alexis & Justin. You have made me feel so much safer. I highly recommend the choice of this local business if you're considering a security system.
