This place used to be very good i bought my pickup from them the sales people are awesome although…read morethe service department on the other hand the woman that takes the service calls is very rude and does not know what she is doing and shouldn't be taking customer calls if there is a recall on a vehicle and it is a GMC should be repaired without cost and the diagnostic test should be free of cost but not this place because they did t sell it wanted nothing to do with it Very disappointed with this service department

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Service Advisor Amanda Smith at Gallagher GMC…read more I have been a loyal Gallagher GMC service customer for the past two years, bringing my truck in every 3-4 months for routine maintenance. However, after today's experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere--both for service and the purchase of my next vehicle when my lease ends in a few months. I initially had a pleasant experience with the service advisor who assisted me earlier in the day. However, when I arrived to pick up my truck, I was shocked to see my bill exceed $450 for a routine oil change and an engine light diagnosis. Upon questioning the charges, Amanda Smith informed me that a fuel injector service had been performed--an upsell item that I never requested, nor was I asked about when my advisor called me earlier. When I calmly pointed this out, Amanda's attitude immediately turned defensive and dismissive. Rather than acknowledging the issue or offering a solution, she repeatedly insisted that she "didn't handle my account" and that I would need to pay the full amount and call back tomorrow to dispute the charge. When I explained--again, very politely--that it wasn't fair to force me to pay for an unauthorized service and then take additional time to seek reimbursement, she responded by raising her voice, speaking slowly and condescendingly, and continuing to deflect responsibility. I then asked for a manager--only to be told that she was the manager. Even more concerning was her response when I pointed out that it wasn't fair to me as the innocent party, her response was that it was fair to her being "stuck in the middle" of this situation. I had to remind her that as a manager, she is not stuck in the middle because she has a responsibility as a leader to resolve customer issues. Instead of demonstrating professionalism or customer service skills, she claimed that it "wasn't fair to her" to be in this situation. I had to suggest maybe attempting to call my advisor on his cell to ask him if I was being truthful. She first responded - "if I call him and he doesn't answer then you'll still have to pay it." After multiple requests, she finally (and reluctantly) called my original service advisor, who immediately confirmed that he never discussed or authorized the additional service with me. Only then did Amanda agree to remove the charge--without so much as an apology for the poor experience, the incorrect charge, or her unacceptable attitude. Customer service is not complicated--simply be professional, courteous, and respectful. Unfortunately, Amanda failed on all counts. A manager should be capable of resolving issues fairly, taking ownership of mistakes, and treating customers with respect, yet she showed none of those qualities today. Her attitude and approach were not only unprofessional but also completely misaligned with the customer service values that Gallagher GMC claims to uphold. I truly hope this review reaches someone in leadership who can address this glaring gap in service quality and ensure that Amanda receives the necessary training in customer relations and leadership. It should start with the basic ability to acknowledge mistakes and say, "I'm sorry." Gallagher GMC has now lost my business--not because of a pricing issue (although she charged me well over $300 just to tell me why my check engine light was on), but because of how I was treated. I will gladly take my truck (and my future purchase) to another dealership where customers are valued and respected.

Boy oh boy... I seem to have a way of getting myself into some interesting messes!…read more I bought a car this fall and I got into a fender bender where I tapped another car. No big deal... right? Wrong. I then attempted to fix the car myself and made things so so much worse. I took off the bumper, the headlights, the wire assembly, and other components before realizing just how far I was in over my head! Ended up needing to go through insurance & after almost 3 months of my car sitting over there with Bryon's Auto Body, I couldn't be happier to have it back. They were extremely professional and easy to work with. I was quite embarrassed by the situation that had transpired & they were a pleasure. I would recommend them to anybody who needs auto work and who wants to work with an above-board, communicative, and expedient repair shop. Note that my car hanging out over there was of no way their fault! I had some explaining to do when it came to insurance but anyway... all's well that ends well and I think I may be telling this story for the rest of my life!

I went to 2 dealerships (including one I bought Audi from) and was told to come and leave my car for month or 2 as parts are really hard to find as many people fixing cars vs.buying in Covid time. First appoitment was in a month. Bryon's got parts a little over a week and in another week my car was wonderfully fixed. Gino and Karen, you are the greatest people and I had a best service. Karen arrenged rental from Enterprice and was VERY proactive with my insurance .Everything was completed in record time and repair was great. Thank you, guys from the bottom of my hart! Marina R.

First I…read morebought a used car from Chris over the phone on Nov. 287th of 2025, Yes a while ago but better late than never! Step one would be to go to a review of another dealer I wanted to go to (Wayland Automotive Services, Wayland, MA.)so you can read it FIRST, that way you will know how I got here to Action Automotive!! They were double icky. Chris @ Action is worth the visit. So if you read what I wrote, here is my visit worked out with Chris at Action Automotive. is the rating because that is the most amount of stars that I can choose! We (Rebecca & I) live near Albany NY and wanted a good used vehicle to use as primary transportation year round. Action Automotive was 130 miles each way. Our motorcycles are not good in the snow, neither is her dream car we also bought used (another story) 2008 Vette (triple black rag top) And our Ram is our Mule( 2016 reg. cab,1500, 2wd). Action had a PT Cruiser we were interested in (2008 Base model wagon). It's job would be all short errands, rain and snow also. I was suppose to have been hit in the left rear corner 4 times - that turned out wrong! Chris described the damage over the phone, and if I got there and it was not at described I would turn around and head back home. I drove to his place of business with our Ram, and our 16 foot steel deck trailer. It was not as described, it was actually much better than I thought. I got there a bit late, missed a turn or two but he waited for me. He new I was coming as he fed me the directions I needed. As a result he was stuck at work waiting, He had paper work ready, we talked a bit handed over the money loaded it up (I did not want to keep him there so I skipped a road test - just the 15 feet or so onto the trailer and headed home. Was given a warranty also, but we had a conversation about the 260 mile round trip if it needed any thing. I told him I would most likely fix it myself (I'm an auto tech since 1968 (yeah I'm old - but a hand shake kind of guy-and Chris seemed like one also. Once home I went thru it, called him, made a few repairs that I wanted to do, and needed a repair that was needed, We talked over emails about it, and it was handled via mail. The wife and I LOVE this little car, it just fits like a glove! maybe that is why Chrysler sold 1.3 million of them, in just 10 years of production. If you are near Action Automotive, in Berlin CT make them a stop for service and/or a car-truck, If you do not live close (I don't) they are still worth a stop. actual rating 10 out of 10 Jerry & Rebecca Horn, just north of Albany NY
