They've always done great work, and cars sit because they are so busy and do quality work without ripping you off.

** 1-Star Review for Tire Unlimited (Greer, SC)**…read more This was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had with a small auto repair shop. In 2023, I brought my vehicle to Tire Unlimited to fix the air conditioning. The issue was a bad compressor, and I paid $1,250 for the repair. Fast forward two years--my A/C stopped working again. I returned to Tire Unlimited, and the owner, Josey, told me it needed maintenance. I paid $350 for that service. Just two months later, the A/C failed again. This time, Josey said the compressor had gone bad again and quoted me $650. After a heated discussion, he reduced the price by $100. What's frustrating is that during the second visit, when I paid for maintenance, the failing compressor should have been identified. It wasn't. As a business owner myself, I expected better accountability--especially since the compressor should have been under warranty and the issue was missed during their own maintenance check. I was referred to this shop by a loyal customer of 27 years, which makes this even more disappointing. I truly regret not going to a certified Chevy dealership instead. Lesson learned. I won't be making the drive from Columbia to Greer again!

For your own satisfaction, I would NOT RECCOMMEND Tires Unlimited. Joey is obnoxious and hard to deal with. His associate Wade is about the same way. How they stay in business is beyond me!

Good for routine maintenance but VERY ineffective for mechanical issues. They will not stand…read morebehind their work at all and if you question the owner he becomes very defensive and belligerent. His favorite quote is "I did not say I would fix it" ??? Used after-market sensor and tubing which were not compatible with my Toyota van and refused to reimburse me for the part! No I would NOT recommend this business!

CIVIL COURT CASE & GREER POLICE REPORTS!…read more Greer Police Report Case#: GP24-010998 BBB Complaint: 21711135 Case# / (vs Moon's Discount Auto Supply): TBD, Early 2025 Case# (vs. James R Moon): 2024CV2310302653 (Appeared/Dismissed Sept 26th, 2024). We went to court and Moon hid behind his corporation's name and deceived the Judge by telling him he was only an "employee". In fact, Moon is the Owner/Manager and would have been speaking on the behalf of his corporation if he hadn't deceived the court room. I got a clutch job here and they initially said $1,200... then $1,900 once they got my car in the shop. On pick up, they dropped the price to $1,667.17 because they realized they can't do a simple clutch job. They even asked me for another $900 to shotgun a flywheel and told me if that didn't fix my clutch--then Moon yelled "that is your problem!". The parts installed were very poor quality and highly not recommended by any other mechanic in the local area. There is a reason other shops in Greer are confident in their work and the quality of the parts they use by honoring a 24K/24 Month Warranty. Nature of Complaint: Moon did not honor his warranty on parts and labor, which is 1 year or 12,000 miles whichever comes first, which is stated on the receipt. The clutch felt abnormal on pick up and broke down LESS THAN 5 MILES DRIVING. Evidence/Witnesses/Receipts: Way over torqued bolts (1 bolt found broke and jammed behind the throw out bearing), excessive lithium grease to the clutch job, and an incorrectly installed/adjusted clutch master cylinder that led to the issues I was having from Graydon's Auto. After the Greer Police Department, I even had my Discover Credit Card Company, and BBB reach out to Moon. I even showed up with physical evidence that you could touch, photos, receipts, and statements that proved Moon did a faulty clutch job. As soon as I popped my trunk and showed him the parts and documents, he just smirked and walked back inside the shop. Other Moon's Claims: 1) Moon claims someone else touched my car... This is the same day that he lunged at me 3 times trying to fight me before I called (Verizon Phone Log) Greer Police Department at 1:27 PM. Moon called at 1:39 PM. 2) Moon claims I touched my own car... 3) Moon claims I declined to have the clutch master cylinder changed... 4) Moon claims I am not the mechanic on this vehicle... he even made a claim in the "Response Statement to the Court" that I should be suing Jim, his mechanic--and not him. 5) Moon claims the Tow Truck caused way over torqued bolts (1 bolt found broke and jammed behind the throw out bearing), excessive lithium grease to the clutch job, and an incorrectly installed/adjusted clutch master cylinder... really? 6) Moon claims the other shop, Graydon's Auto, way over torqued bolts (1 bolt found broke and jammed behind the throw out bearing), excessive lithium grease to the clutch job, and an incorrectly installed/adjusted clutch master cylinder... really?
