We had an oil leak at GSP, and this was the closest service location. Dylan, Alejandro, and the rest of the crew put our car on the lift immediately and found the problem. Dylan kept us informed throughout the process. When they found the problem, they were upfront about the timeline for fixing it, so we decided to have it towed to our usual service station. They filled the car up with oil, got it ready for the tow truck, and we were able to leave it there until the tow truck arrived. After all this, Dylan did not charge me for their help. So my first visit here was in April to get an Oil Change, the staff the day I went was amazing. I had just purchased a 2013 Mercedes SUV and they were teaching me things I didn't even know while sitting and watching them knock out a 20ish minute oil change & inspection. They had me in and out pretty quick & also gave me a nice discount since I have a 9quart Full Synthetic SUV. Took my total from around $155 to $130ish. They topped off all my fluids & gave me an inspection sheet showing everything they checked. They were very talkative and friendly and didn't push products on me. My 2nd experience here was yesterday. I asked for an oil change, a tire rotation and balance as well as an inspection on my brakes (which is supposed to be included when doing an oil change). This time they had me exit the vehicle and sit inside and wait with my 2 kids. That's fine I'm cool with that I figured must need to since they're changing the tires around. After about an hour they came in and told me they can't rotate or balance my tires bc they are bald. Which wasn't true my front still has 6/32 tread life and my back were at 4/32, but that's fine whatever just do the oil change. After another 20 mins they come in and inform me my rear brakes, tires & rotors need replaced. Quoted me $1500+ for that. I said I'll wait on that bc at this point I'm late for a meeting but also I know that's a rip off. Then tried to sell me on other parts and services which i declined. After an hour and half they pull my car up front, and I sit and stare at it there at the front door for another 10 mins before someone comes in and cashes me out. Finally I paid which was full price and I got an inspection sheet. After leaving I realized they didn't even check my front brakes or rotors according to the sheet even though I specifically asked for that. When I got home I noticed there was oil all over my hood. So I popped it to see if something was wrong but instead it was just spilt over the top of my engine. Then I checked my other fluid levels that they claim to top off and none had been filled. Based on this second service round I probably won't be returning to this location. Didn't want to kill their rating bc honestly the first experience was great and had me drive here from Hendersonville area but the second one just makes me realize it's not worth the 45 min drive for this type of service. 9/18/23 Update: The regional manager Tyler reached out to me via phone call this morning to talk with me on my recent experience. Explained the store managers were out of town that week and offered me some incentives to give them another chance. Went to a local shop this morning where they wanted to charge me $135 for an oil change, but they said my drain plug was stripped.. and they wanted to send me to a "friend" who would only charge $80 to fix it a few days from now. I went to Jiffy since they did it last, and they confirmed the issue. The difference? They said they could fix it next time for $5 themselves and drained my oil from the top and charged way less! Took my car for an oil change and new wiper blades. Grabbed a bite at Panera Bread while they did the work; when I finished eating I could see my car parked and ready for pick up. At check out, I was told they did not have the correct size of wiper blade to replace my rear windshield blade and my air filter was dirty so they did replace the air filter. I paid the $106. bill and went to my car. I loaded up and was ready to go! But...the tire pressure warning light was still on. I looked and made sure tire pressure was part of the service. It was so I pulled back around. The gentleman who greeted me said they don't have nitrogen so they didn't do my tire pressure check. I told him not all my tires had the nitrogen air or the tire air cap indicative of the same, so I wasn't pleased. He said he would put air in my tires. And they quickly put air in all my tires. Again, I rolled out of there. This time, the tire pressure light was off and reset. Almost home, I tried the windshield fluid-nothing. I tried it again, nothing. So, I returned to the Jiffy Lube again. I asked him to check the windshield wiper fluid for me. He did, as I watched--It was completely empty. He mumbled something to the other employees and then told me he was going to re-do the entire service. In about 5 mins, he said it was ready. He did apologize, but again defended the tire pressure scenario but noted there was no excuse for the windshield wiper fluid. I don't know if the air filter was replaced or if any other fluids were checked, or if my oil was even changed. In my opinion, their oversights were easily preventable by a simple quality check. And, while I appreciate every one in the service industry is on edge these days, the initial attitude of the employees was one of defense-most especially when I asked for the Manager. I was told he was on lunch break. (It was 4:00 PM and they close at 6:00 PM). I asked when the Manager would return and was told he did not know. I asked how long lunches usually lasted and he said 30 mins. He never once offered anyone else for me to talk to-he just stared at me with his arms crossed. I asked for the Supervisor in charge while the Manager was at lunch, and he said "you mean my Assistant Manager?" At this point, I knew he wasn't going to be very helpful and was glad to see another employee walking up to ask me what he could do to assist. This is when I was told the entire service would be re-done; yet, I don't believe the entire service could have been completed again in the short 5 mins I waited until my car was ready, again. Overall, my experience was negative and I cannot recommend this facility for any automotive service needs. I just don't feel like this facility can be trusted to do what they say they are going to do-even when given a second and even third chance. read more
