12/15/24 It was getting dark. It was starting to rain. It was cold outside. I was hungry. The smells of greasy food hit my nose. I was sold. The service was fast. The service was nice. The cheese burger I ordered, came out just right. The cheese burger hit the spot. We did not eat at the restaurant this time. We were going to go home. I couldn't resist the smell of food. The sandwich never made it to our our car. I am sure we will be back here again. I am sure I will have another delicious cheese burger at this place again. The restaurant is located in the outlet mall. If you want to grab a bite and not leave the outlets, this is a convenient place to visit. The burgers and fries are okay. They have salads and milkshakes. I have never seen the restaurant full. If you want to leave the outlets, MGM has a food court. read more

This location leaves a lot to be desired and has room for improvement in almost every respect. If you are coming here to experience a nostalgic diner or what Johnny Rockets prided itself on being in the past, you will be sorely disappointed. Despite being in a high traffic area of the outlets, this location is not well managed and is also about the size of a broom closet. There are 8 or so tables and around as many seats at the bar, so it should be fairly easy to provide attentive service and decent quality food. The menu also has very few options, so you would also think that inventory and upkeep would also be feasible. Alas, during my visit, they did not have any shakes or chicken tenders available. The restroom was out of order, the tables were not well stocked with napkins, straws, or condiments and it was a bit absurd to receive plastic cutlery. The burger was average at best and incorrectly made and had to be sent back. The onion rings and fries, etc. were clearly food service products and practically flavorless. Overall, the food was mediocre and the environment and attentiveness of service remedial. I would recommend other area dining establishments at the outlets or even the food court at MGM before returning to this circus. read more

This place, Johnny Rockets, was extremely disappointing and blatantly racist. I went to Johnny Rockets with my mom to eat, and we were completely ignored from the moment we walked in. A waitress was cleaning tables but stopped as soon as she saw us and went to the back instead of helping us. The only reason we were able to sit down was because the person handling takeout (who was Black) finished cleaning a table for us. When it came time to order, the waitress continued to ignore us, and once again, the same takeout worker had to take our order. All we received was our drinks. About 15 minutes later, a group of four came in and was seated and served well before us, even though we had been waiting much longer. We waited, assuming our food was being prepared, but after an excessive amount of time with no updates, it became clear that our order was not a priority. Staff were in the back eating instead of preparing our food. Eventually, we had no choice but to leave without ever receiving our meal. Overall, the treatment we received felt discriminatory and unacceptable. This experience was clearly influenced by racism, and because of it, I will never eat here again. read more

The Tanger Outlets are great for shopping with limited sit-down food options. This is pretty much the only one which is why I've been here a few times. It's always funny that they have a sign that tells you to stand on the right or left based on dining in or to-go however I am still verbally asked every time. Don't get me wrong, I understand most of America doesn't actually read. A friend in I came here after work because we were both hungry and couldn't shop without something on our stomach. One thing I forgot about is that everything is a la cart so I never remember to order fries, but oh well I don't need the extra carbs. I got a single bacon cheeseburger with an Oreo milkshake. Overall, it always gets the job done. I ordered my milkshake in a to-go cup because I never finish while there. It is to be noted they have environmentally friendly straws so you may want to grab 2-3 if you take a while to drink your milkshake. Will be back at some point read more

Staff was nice, but the food was not. The Smoke House was beyond greasy. Used a lot of napkins to try to stop the grease and my fries were warm? It didn't take long to receive my food, so I'm not sure why the fries became warm in such a short time. read more

Went here on a Saturday at lunch time. While I was seated immediately, it took about 10 minutes before anyone came to take my order. Food came out fast and was nice and hot. Went to the restroom before leaving and there was no toilet paper, no toilet seat liners, and no paper towels. That combined with the slow service are the main reasons for the 3 stars. The 50s feel gave my nephew and I a great vibe here, nothing short of a great environment! Our server was Brianna and she was very friendly and helpful. The manager Ethan came and made conversation, relating to us and really made the restaurant feel so casual and enjoyable. I got a crispy chicken club and it was perfect, and the nephew loved his bacon cheddar burger. The staff all seemed to be having fun and having a great time which is very rare, it was comforting to know they enjoyed their jobs. Can't wait to come back!!! read more

This was a busy location on a Saturday afternoon for lunch with up to 10 tables. Waiting for a table would take 30 minutes so we opted to sit at the counter immediately. We were provided service and got our food within 10 minutes. The hamburger was large, but only lukewarm and the bun was not toasted. The chicken sandwich was good. This was definitely the worst Johnny Rockets location I have ever visited. The location is convenient within the Tangers Outlet Mall, however, as soon as you enter there's disappointment all over the place. It's small and tight so you feel packed in. Many of the signs throughout the restaurant where broken or missing. Our server was slow to greet us and even slower to take our orders. We were told they were out of many things.. some as basic at a Johnny Rockets as Pepsi and any sauce but ketchup were all not available. The food was only okay. Pretty disappointed considering I had some nostalgic feelings about Johnny Rockets from my younger days. read more

This was your typical Johnny rockets experience. However, I got delivery and the cheese fries arrived cold. The rocket double burger was tasty. and seasoned right. The chili cheese fries were decent after I warned up. Overall, this was mediocre food- nothing special but defiantly a step up from McDonald's. read more

I can remember eating here one other time when I was a little girl with my family. It's a pretty cool restaurant and it's been around for quite some time. It reminds me of Steak and Shake and restaurants of the like. Serves burgers and fries/tots and famous for it's shakes. It didn't take very long for our food to get to us. My boyfriend and I ordered the smokehouse burger, which is just a burger with bacon and an onion ring on it. It was pretty good. We also got the loaded tots. They weren't the best thing I've ever eaten, but they weren't horrible either. I believe I just didn't like the type of cheese that was on it. The strawberry Oreo Shake was BOMB though! Our waiter was Christian and he was wonderful. He was very attentive and made sure we didn't need anything! Overall, it was a cool quick bite. I'll be back eventually to try other things. read more

The burgers here are fresh and delicious. I always get a burger, onion rings, and a milkshake. My favorite shake is chocolate, peanut butter, and banana. It's not on the menu but the peanut butter banana shake is. The friendly staff are always kind enough to add the chocolate. Orlando and Harry give the best service. They make me feel like I'm on a cruise with the service they give. They are so awesome. If you like the old time 50's dinner look you will love this place. I like this place. It's your typical burger joint or Diner. I've been here many time as it's the only real restaurant in the outlet mall. I've always had great service and food has always been fresh. The downfall is that sometimes they get packed and you have to wait. I normally get the Original Burger or the chicken sandwich and have always been pleased.
