Food was fast and service was friendly. However the food was lacking. Not great flavor. Almost tasted box made.

Happened upon this place yesterday. So many great choices on the menu! Service was excellent. Owner stopped by to check in on us. My mom had coconut curry and I had a burger and fries. Everything was excellent. We will definitely go back next time we are at the mall there in Eugene. read more

It was our first time there and service was great . However the food was terrible . We started with the coconut shrimp and it was very fishy and tough . I than ordered the special which was the Hawaiian fried rice with coconut chicken and my husband got the halibut sandwich. The halibut was a processed frozen party and was served on a stale bun . It even looked gross . My chicken was so over cooked it was actually grey and the texture was rubbery. Overall poor food quality. It was clear that most of the food was not fresh . Will not be going back. read more

I thought it was going to be meh, but I ordered the grilled avocado stuffed with rice and served with a shrimp skewer. It was some of the best food I've had here in Eugene...seriously! And I loved sitting out next to Cold Stone, breathing in all the wonderful waffle cone smells...so good! read more

The grilled avocado & rice is amazing! I believe it's an appetizer, but I order it for my main dish. Seriously a must try! You will be addicted read more

Never disappoints! Jonny's has amazing food and great service!! Very clean and awesome food!!!

It's definitely worth the money. Even if they didn't have smores last time, the food was fresh and delicious. The waitress(glasses and blond hair) was awesome. read more

had the Thai Mango Salad with Chicken. very tasty. Every time I eat here it's good.

The pad Thai is the best! It's so delicious and reliable it's even good for take out. I guarantee it's worth the cost! Also the young waitress is always so sweet and outgoing and the owner is always very friendly! read more

I will start out by saying the food was okay and the service was very good. Thats about all the positive aspects I can really state about this place. It is way overpriced for what you get and the manager/owner ( not sure who he was) was constantly yelling at his employees and disturbing us through out our meal. It was a big turnoff. Another huge turn off was the lack of alcoholic beverages. They have a tiny mixed drink/wine/beer list. Its kind of a joke. They have no beer on tap which was a big disappointment. The restaurant looks nice, but is awkwardly laid out and we were crammed next to other tables (it was very busy when we were in) which made the entire meal uncomfortable. The restaurant is supposed to be a caribbean enspired grille but lacks any authenticity and has a lot of things on the menu that are clearly not caribbean. I was told it used to be a burger joint so i guess they just left some of the stuff on the menu. Kinda confusing if you ask me. Surprised this restaurant is still going considering everything. Only explanation is the great location, that gets a lot of foot traffic. The only reasons i may go back is the great service we got or if they make it a little more authentic, change the layout, and expand their alcohol selection. read more

A little pricey for what you get. I feel like I could get the same quality food at a Shari's. I would have given this place 4 stars had the staff been a little friendlier. I had to ask for refills several times. The young girls working here are snobby and seem to be more interested in catching up with co workers than working. The owner is friendly. The environment is nice. Wish I had better things to say. Pretty disappointed. read more

This restaurant is in a great location, decorated nicely with the whole Jimmy Buffett vibe going on. The first red flag was a couple of tables in the front, one hadn't been wiped down, the other still with dirty dishes. I guess they were having bus staff issues, but somethkng the waitress or owner (who were both casually standing around) could have dealt with. Service wasn't slow or fast, just barely adequate. Our table ordered the Turkey Reuben Sandwich and the Chicken Teryaki plate. The Reuben had marble rye bread, thousand island dressing, shredded cabbage and a single slice of turkey. At $9 for a sandwich, I expect more than a 1/8" slice of meat. And, it just didn't go together well, I love shredded cabbage but not on a Reuben. And then there was the chicken teriyaki plate. I would consider myself a fair judge of good teriyaki. This was just bad. Fatty chicken with no flavor, watery teriyaki sauce with WAY too much salt. Took 2 bites and made our decision. A good restaurant will take back any dish from a customer, no questions asked. Our server cut the price on half, which I politely told the owner that I wouldn't be paying for. He explained that the chef put too much sauce in the teryaki plate and it is one of their best sellers. I apparently have taste buds out of whack. One more thing, the beer selection is Ninkasi and domestics. In the mecca of the most diverse beer selection on earth, they rock a couple of choices. Dang. I can go to Steelhead, Hop Valley or a number of other places and get better food, beer and service for less $$. 1 star for location and decoration, and the fries were good. read more

Way over priced for the amount of food. Service wasn't good as well. I've heard good things and I'm sad that this didn't go so well. For 3 people it was around $60 we couldn't sit outside even though it was nice and still sunny out. I'm disappointed in this, I was really hoping for something good. read more

Maybe we just ordered the "wrong" dishes, but there just wasn't anything impressive about this place. I'm glad I had a coupon and didn't have to pay full price .. I would've felt ripped off. read more

Great food and service! Ordered the teriyaki burger and it was fresh and a good sized portion.

The food is very good, very consistent. The thing that stuck me most was the service. I was greeted warmly the moment I walked through the door. Our waiter was Kawaii. There is a genuineness to his personality. He entertained the children and engaged the adults. He manages to balance his outgoing attentive nature without becoming intrusive. Quite a feat in my opinion. He listened carefully to our requests and made excellent menu suggestions. This place is a must if you will be in Eugene! read more

Fish tacos and Caribbean salad were amazing! Great staff, very friendly. Will definitely return.

If you live in or are visiting Eugene, you should not deny yourself a visit to this wonderful eatery. We were fortunate to be able to meet and converse with the owner, Shawn, who is a delight. He has been putting out good food here for 27 years. The menu is good as is the decor, but the service was stellar. read more

Johnny Oceans Grille is one of my favorite restaurants for good reasons. First, their menu has dozens of different choices. I love their portobello mushroom sandwiches and their custom chicken wings, the best ever. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the owner has a 100 percent genuine concern for all his customers. It's always great to have ample parking and an excellent large high quality shopping center. Please try it, you will not be disappointed! read more

I love this resturant....so many favs but I love the Johnny's bowl with chicken or shrimp so good! everything is good fries hamburgers salmon fish tacos oh I am now hungry! read more

I have never been disappointed here. Good food at a reasonable price and sitting in the courtyard is always pleasant. Owner is always there & keeps the staff moving. Usually a Duck or two there as well. read more

Fresh amazing food, friendly and prompt service, laid-back atmosphere. My family has eaten here serval times and we have been impressed by the offerings of this low-key restaurant. Expansive menu yet ultra-fresh food, reasonable price and quick service is difficult to find in this area of Eugene. Thank you to the owner, servers, and cooks for giving us a great option when we want a stress-free meal. read more

Mediocre at best. If you want good fish tacos then walk across the parking lot to Mucho Gusto. I mean $13.50 for 2 mini tacos, crazy! Will not happen again. When I told the waitress she just said sorry. read more

Never have I been as happy as when I walked out of this restaurants doors. Waitress asked me a question and then walked off before I had the opportunity to respond. I shook this off and ordered my family drinks. She brought me back something that sort of resembled a margarita. Tasted like nothing but super sour margarita mix you get from the local liquor store. I'm not a picky person but could barely choke half of it down. Somehow I managed to place an order through all of this. However after seeing my waitress who was very rude dancing in the kitchen I cancelled our dinner before it was too late and paid $12 for two soft drinks and quite possibly the worst alcoholic beverage I have ever tasted which I only managed to drink half of. I would have talked to the owner but he was too busy running around hugging other customers making them feel uncomfortable. Reason I came here was because of some good seared tuna I had for lunch in years past. If you go good luck. I won't be back. read more

The food was very blah. Caribbean sauté came with an excessive amount of thin sauce, practically raw onions and canned mushrooms. Pad Thai sauce was clumpy and tasted only of cheap peanut butter. I would skip this place. read more

Great food, a little expensive for the portions but really tasty food. Service was awful unfortunately, got my order wrong twice, didn't apologize or offer anything to make up for it, meanwhile my companion got the right meal but they didn't give him silverware then took 10 mins to get him some so it was cold by the time they got everything right.... Servers let down the chef. read more

I went there with my boyfriend on just a regular date night, and we witnessed a waiter treating this sweet old lady like dirt! She was so quiet and scared to say anything and it was so sad! He first brought her out this plain looking salad with no dressing or anything and when he did finally bring her out dressing he was so rude and short and she didnt even eat the salad, she just left because she was treated so poorly. THEN we witnessed the owner screaming at the poor girls in the back for not keeping the back clean enough! The whole restaurant could hear and some people actually left because of it. Literally screaming. I will never go back becauase I do not want to support a business where the owner treats his employees the way that I witnessed him treating them. read more

First time trying this place. I went on a Saturday afternoon with my husband and 4 yr old daughter. After choosing a table the owner or manager brought over a coloring book and crayons for our daughter. While the idea was nice it lacked in quality. The coloring book was very used and the cup of crayons had tiny broken pieces. She was not interested in coloring with them. The waitress was nice qnd attentive. When ordering she let us that they had child friendly options. It would have been nice to see that on the menu or perhaps a colorable kids' menu. We ordered the grilled cheese for the child. Standard fair but enjoyed very much. My husband and I shared the pulled pork sandwich and Caribbean jerk chicken sandwich. Both were excellent! The pulled pork was tasty and had just the right amount of sauce while the cole slaw was a bit tangy. It was the best pulled pork sandwich I've had! The atmosphere was not great. Nothing specific bit just felt off. I would definitely eat there again although probably get it to go or eat outside. read more

Menu, food, and the restaurant itself are excellent. However, my experience with one server in particular have been really bad. She's a blonde lady and has been the only server working the past 2 times I've been there. The first time, she told me my card declined when I knew there was money on it. It took more than 5 minutes for her to figure out how to ring us up. Later on, I looked at my account and saw I had been charged twice. The second time, we went to get dinner a little before 8. The hours posted outside clearly stated that they were open til 9. The lady got us our drinks and when she came back to take our order, she said "just so you know we're closing at 8" and went on to say that we could still order if we wanted but basically was just trying to get us out the door because apparently they wanted to close early because it wasn't very busy. How unprofessional. We told her we were just going to leave because we didn't feel welcomed and she just smiled and said okay like she didn't wasn't even listening lol. Worst part was she still charged us for our Sprite after being totally rude. I don't care if I'm the only one in there. If you want to close early, wait until your customers have eaten and don't rush them. Or tell us before we order a drink. It's a shame because I love the food here but don't want another poor experience. read more
