A great place to stop when you first drive into town. You literally can't miss it! Hope it's a nice day out and they'll have the bar open to outdoors. They cool all their beer with coolers with ice -- I've never seen this done at a real bar before.. I guess they claim it keeps it the coldest. They seemed to pour pretty heavy here, and we enjoyed our rum punches on a sunny afternoon. Got to talking to lots of locals, can't complain! read more

If you're looking for a true Flagler Beach local vibe, this bar delivers--just don't expect your potato to weigh in as advertised. My "half-pound" potato was missing a quarter pound, but hey, maybe it's a new low-carb initiative? The atmosphere is great and the locals seem to love it. The bartender on Saturday, however, seemed more invested in her phone than in pouring drinks, and her eyelashes looked like they could sweep the bar floor. I've never seen anyone cut lemons while sitting down, but I guess there's a first time for everything! Maybe the lemon juice was supposed to wake up her sour personally. All in all, I'd still recommend stopping by--just cross your fingers for the Friday bartender, and maybe bring your own potatoes (and lemon wedges) just in case! read more

I am NOT a bar person, I like to dance and then drink, but if you just are a dive bar person, sorry about the following. It has a long bar and 3 places to play pool. I think they pour pretty heavy because 80% of the customers looked recked...lol. If you want to get toasted, this is the place to go. If you just want to dance, like I said, don't show up it's a dive bar. A go to place for my wife and I when we often come to Flagler Beach I understand now it's under new ownership and what I got was poor service and high beer prices. When we were able to flag down the Bartender who was more interested in hanging out with a friend, we ordered two domestic beers. And some how I was able to get another 45minutes later in a place that was in an afternoon slowdown. This time we decided not to order food. It's a dive bar and with that your expectations are low. It is a local watering hole and can be fun. But the guy who is the son of the owner or manager is too high to make a basic drink. He is a hot mess. It was a relief when he decided to work at a local Toyota or similar place but now he is back. Not saying he is a bad guy but he is not a bartender. The expectations is a club soda and vodka or a rum and coke or a simple food order. Not complicated stuff but it's by no means delivered. It is also not well air conditioned so be prepared. We have been going here since before they moved to the new location. Nothing fancy about the place, it's a neighborhood hangout. Seems like the patrons know each other, Guess they are regulars. We went because the Rubin sandwich was one of the best ever. Marble rye, a lot of lean corn beef, sauerkraut,dressing, cheese...make the mouth water thinking about it. However, the last visit it was awful. Plain rye bread, which was soggy because the sauerkraut wasn't drained enough, a pittance of corn beef, too much dressing and if there was cheese we couldn't find it. The bartender who served as server too said sorry but never offered to make it better, or told the cook about the complaint. If the place was busy I would understand but there was only one other tables of two women and no one at the bar. This may sour us on returning, though I try to give places another chance. read more

Yes,they are on island time (slow). And I wish the beer menu was different than what you can buy at Publix. But you can tell people like to hang out here, and isn't that what bars are for? So I went to this place last night. I liked the music and the crowd was ok also. I was hungry and the kitchen was still open which was cool because it was late. So I placed my order with one of the bartenders. I wanted to make sure he knew where I was so when my food came he didn't have to look for me, so I told him I will be standing right over here when my food comes. He said he would do what he can, like he wasn't going to even pay attention to when my food comes. He didn't pay attention, I saw food in a to go container behind the bar for 19mins. Went there at 5:30 today not crowded at all 5:45 never saw a server to even take a drink order. Actually never saw a server at all. We have been there before always great service. Not sure whats going on but will not be going back. read more
