This most recent sale came with several contingencies that could have delayed or derailed the process. We were understandably worried, but Jin took each one by the horns and resolved them one by one. Thanks to her skill and determination, we closed right on schedule. How else can we describe her? Simply fabulous. Her team was equally wonderful and a pleasure to work with. Thank you so much, Jin!

While the home-buying process itself was smooth, our move-out experience was the complete opposite. As a family with young children, we were repeatedly questioned and made to feel uncomfortable over normal wear and tear......things like minor drywall nicks that are expected in any home with kids. These were already being addressed on our end with a contractor, as we had communicated. Despite agreeing to cover repairs and forfeit a $3,000 deposit, we were met with unnecessary comments and a level of aggression that felt unprofessional and unwarranted. It was especially disappointing given that we chose to work with her over many other options, expecting a level of trust and respect in return. We believe in accountability and were fully willing to take care of any legitimate damages....but respect and professionalism should go both ways. Based on this experience, we would not recommend doing business with Jin.

She spent time giving her perspective on the market and easing my concerns about getting started before we had a formal contract with her. She was willing to see many houses throughout our search as we looked at too small and too large homes until we found one right in the middle. Lara was fun to work with, she was always upbeat and helpful. More than anything we felt like Lara was 100% focused on our needs as a family, not about closing a quick deal, not about optimizing her commission, and not about what would have been easy. She felt like part of our family and that she was as invested in finding the right thing for us as we were. She was always thinking strategy for us when she saw we had some interest in a home, and her communication with the other agents was awesome as this approach helped us gain insights and positioning. She talked us through the strategy to make our offer to win against 7 other buyers and we still felt like we got great value for our home. Our only regret is that we used a different agent to sell our prior home and it would have been much smoother and more positive experience with Lara by our side! We also worked with Kim and Kristina at different portions of the closing process and both were great, they were communicative and responsive and gave great information when we had questions.

We have worked with the Lawlors before when selling our townhouse a couple years ago. And we have always had the most amazing experience! The whole family is just so great! We felt awful because we dragged Laura all over but she was so understanding and said "I'll be here when you are ready!!" We were finally ready to get our first single family house..I texted Laura to tell her and by the next day she had our list ready to go. Even though we know she's busy - she NEVER made us feel any less than her other clients. She was always there for us when we needed her. Every time I felt like I was going downhill on an emotional roller coaster..Laura was there to talk me through it and get me right back on track! She was so supportive!! Ian is skilled and precise when it comes to the market and vast knowledge of what buyers are looking for. If you want your home sold as soon as possible I'd highly recommend going with Ian. He never pushed or forced us to do anything we didn't want. Also, he gave very good guidance and stayed on top of things until our home was sold. Whenever questions arose he was always there with us at every step of the way. We highly recommend him if you want your home sold for a good value. Don't think twice and see for yourself.

Instead of making this a 'too long, didn't read' review - I will make a bulletized list of what Ian did to make our dreams come true: - Ian was always available via phone or email. I never waited more than a few hours to hear back from him, and even that was a lot longer than most. He was super quick to respond to any and all questions. - Ian was always honest. I am a worrier by nature and had a TON of questions about the selling / buying process. Ian always gave us the answer we had to hear, whether it was what we wanted to hear or not. - Ian was the one that read my style and introduced us to the home we ended up falling in love with and buying. - Ian's ability to market our offer and market our home was impeccable. And even when we were not exactly where we wanted to be financially - he helped make adjustments to get it where we needed to be. - Ian has a lot of good connections that have proved to be invaluable. Contractors, inspectors, mortgage lenders, settlement company...all by Ian's recommendation - and they all were superb. Now, I need to point something out - our process was a nightmare, but not because of anything Ian was a part of, or could even control. Because of him he made sure that we were taken care of as best as possible - even at the worst of times during this process. Had it been any other realtor, I believe that we would not have sold our home in less than 36 hours and closed on our dream house in less than a month (even with the hiccups that the buyer's lender brought to the situation). If you choose Ian you are choosing an honest, funny, friendly, and COMPETENT realtor.

Tanya told us what we could do to sell fast, she gave us pointers on what the house needs in order to show and highlight its features, and believe me, I thought I knew a thing or two about it, but she literally expanded my knowledge on how to look for those little things that make the difference. 1st day the house went on the market we got multiple offers, I didn't see any offers until she was ready to meet with me and my wife. When she brought the offers, not only she had already negotiated the offers to the best possible price, but she also negotiated how we were going to close the deal. So, all I had to do was chose the best offer and the process was done. I could not have been any happier than I am with her. She really does take care of you as part of her family and she has no issues on telling you how you can do better, because in the end, is for your benefit mainly! From the very beginning, Megan and her team (Jenny Moore) demonstrated professionalism, market expertise, and a genuine commitment to understanding our goals. Thanks to her strategic approach and strong network, we received five competitive offers in a short period of time. What truly set Megan apart, though, was her ability to help us navigate those offers thoughtfully--not just focusing on price, but on finding the right buyer. It was very important to our family that the home not be sold to a developer who would tear it down, and Megan respected and prioritized that throughout the process. In the end, she helped us secure a buyer who aligned with our wishes while still delivering an excellent outcome financially. Her communication was clear, her guidance was steady, and she made what could have been a stressful process feel smooth and well-managed. Dawn was recommended because my wife and I were a little indecisive and could not decide between Virginia and Maryland. Since she's licensed in both Virginia and Maryland, she was able to show us houses in both states; she must have shown us 50 houses. Once we found our home, Dawn guided us through the entire process from bidding through closing. Dawn patiently explained every form we signed and every step and every option we had until we closed on the house. We could not have asked for a better teacher than Dawn for our first home buying experience. Later, we finally were ready to move up to a bigger home and Dawn again came through for us. We found a house we liked and asked Dawn to help us buy it. Offers were required quickly and Dawn immediately found us a mortgage specialist who could get us a pre-approval letter for the offer. We had a weekend and Dawn was able to put together the winning offer on the house that weekend. After we moved, it was time to sell our old townhouse and we were blown away with Dawn's expertise in selling. We hadn't updated the house at all and we were behind on maintenance, but Dawn helped us put together a plan to get the best price for our house. She created a list of improvements we could do that were cost effective; picking out all the furnishing and fixtures to maximize our selling price. She found a general contractor to do all the updates and kept us abreast of their progress. She also guided us through Compass Concierge so we didn't have to pay immediately for any of the improvements. After construction was done, she helped us find cleaners to clean the house and a staging company to stage the house. The house was completely unrecognizable; it looked like something out of HGTV. We sold within a weekend, 25K over our asking price. We were so pleased that we also recommended her to my parents to sell my grandfather's house. She worked her magic and transformed the stale 1980's interior into a modern interior. There was a bidding war and my grandfather's house sold for 90K over asking. My aunts and mom cannot stop raving about her. Whether buying or selling a house, I cannot recommend Dawn more.

From the owner: Being a real estate agent has allowed me to meet amazing people and build relationships.read more

Obtaining the services of a real estate agent is much more than "finding someone to sell your…read morehome". This is especially true if you are selling an inherited property as I was earlier this year. A good real estate agent will know the area, know the laws and rules and will help assess your home and get it listed and sold for a "good price". A great real estate agent is a counselor, a partner in your effort, someone who "has your back" throughout the process in addition to doing all of the real estate work. Philippa Main is an *outstanding* real estate agent and an even better person. My father passed away leaving a home in Woodbridge, Virginia - the home in which I grew up and which contained almost 50 years of possessions. I contacted Philippa in March of 2026 to discuss its potential sale even as the house was in significant disarray while I engaged in the slow process of cleaning it out and sorting through the many things my parents had accumulated over the years. When she visited the home, I looked around and threw up my hands. Philippa looked around and said, "we can make this happen." I sought her out specifically because she mentioned having expertise in sales of homes that are inherited - a particular niche that involves a delicate dance of handling family dynamics, wills, probate laws and determining what, if any, money should be put into renovations or improvements that will get a reasonable return on the investment. From our first conversation over the phone - which she took time to do in the middle of a busy weekend - Philippa was incredibly personable, easy to talk to and anticipated many of my questions and many of my concerns as we talked. By the end of our conversation, I felt like I was chatting with a friend who had expertise I needed. Over the following three months, she was a (rapidly-responded-to) text or phone call away as I navigated getting the house ready for sale. She helped outline a schedule and a plan to list the home. She connected me with a large network of trusted service providers from junk removers to contractors to painters to flooring experts from whom I obtained estimates and some of whom I contracted to help clear out the house and prepare it for sale. While she always reiterated that she would back any decision I made regarding the house, I always sought her counsel when making major decisions such as whether or not to spend money on renovations and, if so, which ones were most important. Of course, there were obstacles - some amusing, some less-so - but Philippa helped me handle each one with a confidence borne of having "seen it before". That is an incredibly valuable thing when dealing with a stressful situation. In the end, the home was listed in June and had nearly seventy showings in three days. The house sold for well over its asking price and after all of it I know some things: The home could have been sold by another agent. But few, if any, others could have been a partner in the process the way Philippa was for me. She was a trusted resource, a confidant, a person who knew when to inject humor into a situation and when helping me vent was what was needed - she understands people and the process of selling an inherited home in addition to being a brilliant real estate agent who knows the area and who knows how to get the job done. I couldn't recommend her more for ANY real estate work but, especially, if you face the task of preparing and selling an inherited property.
