Dawn is a wonderful, knowledgeable full-service realtor who is a joy to work with. We wanted to sell our family home which needed fairly extensive renovations before hitting the market. She gave us recommendations to maximize curb appeal with her stylish eye, stepped in to refer general contractors and project managed the entire process. The house looked amazing when it listed! I live in California and she helped to coordinate all the necessary paperwork from across the country. I even used my learnings from Dawn to buy and sell a house here! We strongly recommend Dawn and her services. She's definitely a gem of a realtor! read more

I've had the pleasure of using Dawn for both buying and selling a home and I could not recommend her more. We first used Dawn 15 years ago when we were first time home buyers. Dawn was recommended because my wife and I were a little indecisive and could not decide between Virginia and Maryland. Since she's licensed in both Virginia and Maryland, she was able to show us houses in both states; she must have shown us 50 houses. Once we found our home, Dawn guided us through the entire process from bidding through closing. Dawn patiently explained every form we signed and every step and every option we had until we closed on the house. We could not have asked for a better teacher than Dawn for our first home buying experience. Later, we finally were ready to move up to a bigger home and Dawn again came through for us. We found a house we liked and asked Dawn to help us buy it. Offers were required quickly and Dawn immediately found us a mortgage specialist who could get us a pre-approval letter for the offer. We had a weekend and Dawn was able to put together the winning offer on the house that weekend. After we moved, it was time to sell our old townhouse and we were blown away with Dawn's expertise in selling. We hadn't updated the house at all and we were behind on maintenance, but Dawn helped us put together a plan to get the best price for our house. She created a list of improvements we could do that were cost effective; picking out all the furnishing and fixtures to maximize our selling price. She found a general contractor to do all the updates and kept us abreast of their progress. She also guided us through Compass Concierge so we didn't have to pay immediately for any of the improvements. After construction was done, she helped us find cleaners to clean the house and a staging company to stage the house. The house was completely unrecognizable; it looked like something out of HGTV. We sold within a weekend, 25K over our asking price. We were so pleased that we also recommended her to my parents to sell my grandfather's house. She worked her magic and transformed the stale 1980's interior into a modern interior. There was a bidding war and my grandfather's house sold for 90K over asking. My aunts and mom cannot stop raving about her. Whether buying or selling a house, I cannot recommend Dawn more. read more

Just bought a home thanks to Dawn! Today we closed on a beautiful home in Bethesda, Maryland. Craziest part is that we live in California and did it all remotely. If Dawn could deliver from 3,000 miles away, imagine what she could do locally. We really felt like Dawn had our backs throughout the entire process. She was always available when needed and her wisdom and expertise is what got us across the finish line. I don't usually think of honesty when I think of sales people, but Dawn totally changed that. She was professional, honest, and down to Earth. Looking for the best and most honest agent in the DC area? Look no more! Dawn's the bomb! read more

Dawn Pace - Compass Real Estate - We couldn't be happier! Thanks, Dawn! - Real Estate Agents Near Me - Potomac, Maryland

When we were ready to sell our home, two different colleagues recommended Dawn Pace. Selling a home can be quite a stressful time period, but Dawn created an entire process map to help us identify the best strategies and most profitable approaches for updating our interiors and exteriors. Her responsiveness and knowledge made navigating the current market manageable. Not only were her recommendations accurate, she helped us develop a pricing strategy that ultimately got us 22K over asking price. I would highly recommend Dawn as a thorough agent, who is a diligent negotiator. read more

As a first-time seller, I was unsure about the process of selling my home and what needed to be done. Several friends recommended Dawn so when I called her, she was quick to provide detailed information, and gave me insightful recommendations. She even found a contractor for one of the renovations I had been meaning to complete. I was amazed at the amount of time and effort she spent organizing several events at my house and how diligently she managed the sales process. Following Dawn's guidance I sold my home very quickly and well above the asking price! Dawn made the whole experience a breeze and I highly recommend her! read more

We would not have gotten our house if it wasn't for Dawn being so awesome! I firmly believe that having Dawn as our realtor is the only reason we got the house we wanted. If she had not been our realtor, we would not have gotten our house and we'd probably still be looking. After becoming a lil discouraged with our house search, I skipped an open house my wife went to. Of course that house ended up being my wife's favorite thus far in the search and she wanted to put in an offer which was due about 2 days later. As I mentioned, I skipped the open house, but my wife wanted to make an offer so I went in basically blind. Luckily, without me even asking since I thought it would be impossible, Dawn was able to contact the realtor for the house and secured a time for a walk through the same day we told her we wanted to put in an offer and let us know she had that time reserved in case we wanted to see it. So that made it able for me to go see the house before I submitted an offer which I didn't think was going to happen. I saw what my wife saw at the open house and we were able to make a much more educated decision about our offer. Told Dawn we wanted to move forward and she came up with a great initial offer and plan for increments and how to deal with a rent back situation. Everything she said sounded perfect and we went with it. After a few back and forth, the seller accepted our offer and we got the house because of Dawn's great offer package! Dawn kept us aware of everything going on up to and after settlement and I could not have asked for a better realtor to work with during settlement as she made everything very easy to follow and reassured us everything would be great in the end and it was! I got lucky getting a realtor this amazing. This was not my first house I've bought so I do have realtors to compare Dawn to. Hire her and you will be happy you did. read more

Dawn sold me my first house and I could not have been more pleased. She was patient, knowledgeable, understanding, flexible, and always courteous! She would come out any day or night to show a house, provide explanations and information if needed, and was always willing to go the extra mile. Dawn actually sold that same house for me a few years later, and even though we were selling in the winter months, Dawn got us a price that was better than what we had bought it for, so we were very pleased. Dawn also puts on very well thought open houses - she even had hot cocoa and a rumbling fire for ours! I would definitely recommend her! read more

Dawn sold us our first home a few years ago. We were novice first time home buyers. She walked us through the process very patiently and worked hard not only to find us the house we wanted, but worked out a great deal for us. Subsequently, she sold my late grandmothers home during a very tough housing market for a great price. Can't count how many times she went above and beyond for us. Couldn't recommend more highly. She is the best! read more

Dawn did a fantastic job helping us buy our first home, successfully navigating both the pandemic and bidding wars. She was able to find our house before it hit the market so that we could make an early and competitive offer. Thanks again, Dawn! read more

Dawn helped us purchase our new (and first!) home and she took so much of the stress out of the process. A realtor we worked with previously made the entire process so stressful, so it was a relief to find someone who was wonderful to work with and really had our best interest at heart! Dawn was always quick to get in touch when we needed to connect, and she was extremely patient with any questions we had during the buying process. I've already recommended Dawn to a friend of mine, and will continue to do so in the future. Hopefully we won't be needing Dawn's help again for a looooong time, but if you are in need of a realtor, she's your go-to! read more

Working with Dawn was the best decision we made in our home buying process. Despite looking at a ton of houses in the downtown Silver Spring area, Dawn was extremely patient, helpful and offered her honest opinion on whether each house was worth it or not (we were looking for a fixer upper). It was wonderful to work with someone who genuinely wanted to help us find a great home. Once we found a house, I was so thankful to have Dawn in our corner. She's extremely knowledgeable and even helped us get a great credit on a faulty fireplace. She also has amazing attention to detail; we likely would have overlooked several things without her, both when we looked at houses and during the actual buying process. Working with Dawn really exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend her! read more

Dawn was amazing to work with. We were new home buyers and new to the area, and Dawn was a complete lifesaver to work with. We put in offers to three homes before one was accepted. Dawn was amazingly helpful and supportive through the whole process, and helped us struggle through the emotions of losing some great houses until we found our home!! We're working on early renovations now, and she has been super helpful with finding and coordinating with contractors. She's truly great to work with and I can't recommend her more highly. read more

We needed to sell my parents' home and it needed a significant refresh to be presentable. Dawn did so much more than just help us with traditional realtor services. She was a trusted counselor, fill-in general contractor, and helped us out when we couldn't be at the house to meet someone. When done, the house looked fantastic, and Dawn did a great job marketing and promoting it. With her advice and guidance, we received 8 offers in the first week including a bidding war that significantly exceeded our list price. We would strongly recommend Dawn to anyone looking to sell a house (and I suspect she'd be just as dedicated as a buyer's agent). read more

Dawn was my agent when I sold a townhouse in a market that soured. I also had time constraints for an interstate move, and didn't want to lose any more money than I had to in the rush. Dawn is a realtor who defines service. Dawn held several open houses, advised on detracting from perceived weaknesses, and also gave me piece of mind. Fliers, signs, photography, online listings, and more were used to make the sale. Dawn worked with me, on every decision, every step of the way. When I described her service to my neighbors, they were stunned. They'd never known a full-service realtor like Dawn. Dawn is just one of those realtors that you'll go back to. If I still lived in her area, I'd refer everyone I know to her. As it is, I'm recommending her and Kris to everyone who uses Yelp -- without reservation. HIRE DAWN. read more

We have had many bad experiences with realtors until we met Dawn Pace! Dawn has a level of professionalism and knowledge that cannot be matched. Dawn has hands-on experience with turning problems into solutions in a home. She is a master of marketing and was able to secure top dollar for our property in record time well beyond our listing price. On top of that, Dawn is very detail-oriented. She goes above and beyond for her clients. In the past, we had agents who didn't go through those extra efforts that make a difference. Claudette did all the right things and more! We would highly recommend Claudette to anyone who wants the job done right. The bottom line: Claudette delivers and exceeds expectations. She is a true gem in her field. --Matt and Katee James read more

Dawn made the process of buying our first home together so incredibly easy. She's full of useful knowledge on everything we asked about (mortgage programs, renovations, locations, etc.), and knew where to send us if she didn't have the answers. She was very professional, and patient, and very accommodating with our many questions, and requests. It was really great to have her take our budgetary constraints into account with every detail that came up. Her strategic approach, along with honest guidance really helped us feel confident about the decisions we were making. I couldn't recommend her enough! read more

We used Dawn as our realtor for both selling our house at the time and buying our current home and would highly, highly recommend her. She is extremely experienced and knowledgeable, but also deeply kind. She'll walk through each step of the process with you such that you'll always feel confident and informed every step of the way. On the selling side, she's extremely good at laying the groundwork for a successful sale. In our case, we had tons of showings the first day it was on the market, and managing all the chaos of that day was really where Dawn shined, such that we ended the first day on the market with an offer well above ask. This was at a time where the market was hot, so having someone of her caliber was great to have on the buying. She has the experience and network to put together a great offer quickly so we always had the best chance possible to get the home. I'm not sure we would've gotten the great home we have now without her. She's very good at negotiating and a great person to have in your corner. Definitely would recommend Dawn! read more

My mortgage lender recommended Dawn for our first home purchase in Maryland (since we were moving from VA, I had no idea about the Maryland market), and I couldn't have been happier with her! Dawn is extremely professional, organized, and was always available to answer every single question I had along the way, no matter how silly. Dawn showed us so many houses and was willing to work with our schedules, with showings on weeknights and weekends because that is when we were available. She really laid out the whole home buying process in a way that we could understand, and helped us to negotiate a winning offer (and even helped us get significant credits from the seller). I would definitely recommend Dawn to anyone looking for a new home, and will keep her in mind if we ever decide we want to sell our home down the road :) Thanks for everything, Dawn! read more

Dawn Pace with The Dawn and Kris Team was amazing to work with! My wife and I recently went through the process of buying our first home and had no idea where to begin. We found Dawn through the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Yelp. Before we even agreed to work with her, Dawn took the time to walk through the entire home buying process, step by step, clearly explaining every detail so that it was super easy to understand. Not only is she knowledgeable with regard to buying and selling homes, but while walking through houses she gave us helpful tips and tricks of proper home care and repair. Overall, we loved working with Dawn and not only plan to work with her in the future, but highly recommend her to all of our family and friends. read more

Dawn's knowledge in the space combined with her patience and support made it a really positive experience. She walked us through the process, preparing us for each step. Dawn has gone above and beyond the level of service of any agent I've ever worked with in the past. When I was preparing my home for sale, she gave me amazingly detailed pricing and staging advice. She even brought her tools over and helped me install some curtain rods and hang pictures! She was there to meet contractors when I couldn't. Her marketing of my home was top-notch. To top it off, she was always positive and truly listened to me. I've recommended her to several family members who all have had glowing reviews about Dawn. Julie D. read more

Since this was my first home purchase you can guess I was all over the board with my wants, "needs" and price range even.. Dawn found many, many homes for me to look at. She went out of her way, all times of the day, any day, you name it, she was right there with me to look at places. She was SO patient with me! I even met with Kris at one place, and he was so accommodating with my first home search. Dawn gave me her opinions, and thoughts (very professionally, of course) on each and every place. I could NEVER have bought my first home with out her. ALSO, must be noted, that It is VERY difficult for me to make tough decisions and with out local family for help, I relied almost COMPLETELY on Dawn's knowledge and opinions.. She spent so much time with me, even AFTER I decided on the place, SHE found for ME! What else can I say, but I think if you want a personable, reliable, opinionated and knowledgeable team to find you a home, here in the DC area, you really couldn't do better than Kris and Dawn! read more

Dawn did an amazing job getting my house from being a bit of a bachelor pad to getting it ready for sale. She helped every step of the way to make it as most appealing to a home buyer. She was extremely responsive and went above and beyond to ensure everything was ready for the open house. Her advice during price negotiations was very welcoming and very well most likely kept many thousands of dollars more in my pocket. As first time home buyers, we were very out of our depth when it came to pretty much everything. We had a tight budget and were looking for a reno project, so the search was tough. Dawn listened to our needs, structured her search around those, and was always extremely professional and went above and beyond to ensure we found a house we wanted and closed for a great deal! Could not have been happier about working with her. Dawn immediately put us at ease, explained everything in a way that first home buyers need, and in the beginning sat down with us and outlined the process, what to expect, when we would owe money, and a general timeline of how things usually go in the process. This was SO HELPFUL! She gave us a printout and provided so much information about the types of properties that would be worth our time, and which ones would be a waste of time and money. Dawn also has the patience of a saint. A lot of the places we wanted to look at would have been completely ripped down to the studs renovation-type projects, and not only did she show us all the properties we asked to see, she also provided very wise advise about the scope of work and whether or not it would be a worthwhile investment. We always knew that the advice she offered was honest and backed by years of experience. We now have a wonderful house and couldn't be happier :) read more

When my daughter and her boyfriend were ready to start looking for their first home I was excited and a little nervous. They were looking for a home in the general area of Springfield/Alexandria, VA. I'm a Realtor in Knoxville, TN so I know that buying your first home is exhilarating and a bit frustrating with a dash of anxiety for good measure. I also know that a great Realtor can make this a smooth, less stressful experience. I started searching online, looking at reviews, checking out agents, and I came across all these wonderful reviews for Dawn Pace. I got in touch with her, and from our first conversation she really impressed me. She is extremely knowledgable, very sweet to work with, and returns calls/emails in a timely fashion.
