The issue came when I booked an appointment for both myself and my spouse, however one of the appointments the therapist was not available so they canceled one appointment and kept the other one. They told us they had a one day cancellation policy and we had to take another therapist if we wanted to be able to receive two massage at the same time, otherwise we would have to pay the cancellation fee for the appointment. Next issue, the location is under construction, the AC was not working. The therapist had fans running in both appointment rooms not to mention floor boards were exposed in the waiting room and hallways that were unfinished. The therapist I had Elena had a lot to be desired. She cut the 50 minutes short. It was not the 50 minutes I used my credit for and the pressure was not hard enough even though I had asked for harder. Not to mention this was the first time a ME therapist didn't wait for me at the end and offer a cup of water. Her exact reply"have a good night" without offering a bathroom or water. Would not recommend this location next time I'm in town which is twice a year from California. In CA the location has better therapists and better location standards.

I believe they have restrictions of having their cell phones in the room. There were other issues as well. The facial steamer was positioned so close to my face that it became uncomfortably hot, and I had to ask her to move it. That's something I don't feel a client should have to point out during a professional facial. When I spoke with the front desk afterward, I was told she wasn't from that location and had come from another Hand & Stone to help out. While I appreciated the explanation, it didn't change my experience. I also explained that I didn't think I should lose one of my membership credits for a service that fell so far below expectations. I later emailed corporate to share my concerns and never received a response. After being a loyal member for years, I expected much better customer service and follow-up. I'm not sure what gave her the impression to think I was happy enough with the service to leave a tip but she decided to REACH AROUND THE COUNTER and press tip.
