The following thoughts about a recent listing and sale should help understand why I think so highly of Skip. I found him to be exceptionally skillful and professional throughout a long, drawn-out (multi-month) negotiation that could have and probably would have failed if he hadn't been involved. There were many instances where the buyers were making unreasonable demands and we were prepared to end the negotiations. Fortunately, Skip convinced us that it would be better to counter their demands and stand our ground; a strategy that eventually paid-off in a sale. I also appreciated the advice he gave me on dealing with significant repairs. Of particular note, his proposal that we ask the buyers to adjust their offer price to offset the total cost of a repair saved us thousands of dollars and allowed the buyers to integrate the cost to them into their loan. I'm also certain he made the overall process much less stressful for us by setting clear guidelines about how we communicated with him and by maintaining a calming and positive demeanor throughout the process.
