I love the interior! It looks scandinavian, my favorite look. The coffee is really good, i ordered a cappuccino and it tasted great. If you want to, you can sit outside. Def come back here!!!

Matcha latte and lemon bar

Very small menu and simple but delicious drinks and breakfast goodies. Great location and love the plants!!!

Located right in the centre of town, just up from Touchstones Museum on Baker, John Ward Coffee offers beverages that reflect the decor of the business. The interior has been decorated like a mid-century milk bar, with white-washed furniture, retro checkered flooring, and antique appointments. The layout is clean and uncluttered, and the items on offer are appropriately limited. John Ward focuses on creating classic coffee selections - cappuccino, espresso, macchiato - and does not offer fraps or chocolate-chip mint concoctions. They have fairly good baked goods, but they are overpriced, hence my three-star rating. I have tried their coconut chocolate cookies and a few squares, but it seems wrong paying the same amount for my cookie as my coffee. A solid cafe though, overall.

Sm. Latte and 12oz mocha. Latte is stellar.

Wonderful espresso, service with a smile. What more could you want in a coffee shop. They seem to take the proper care in crafting their espresso drinks and I was in serious like from sip one. Heading back for a mocha to go on he way out of town and will definitely hit it up if we ever find ourselves back here in Nelson.

Super cool spot. Fast, friendly service with great coffee, pastries and sandwiches. We really liked the light bright vibe as well.

The best coffee we find so for in Nelson! The place is tiny and the staff could smile a bit more...we didn't try the food...

It is owned by The Twelve Tribes, a small religious community based about twenty minutes outside of town at Mt Sentinel Farms. Much of the wonderful comfort food they serve is grown on their farm, and the staff are all part of the Mt Sentinel community-the men wear pony tails and beards, the women dress in long skirts, and the place has a quiet, homey vibe. The community's vision was to open a small café offering a simple menu in a comfortable living-room-style setting, but the place is so good that they recently opened an adjacent house to hold all the people who were lining up for a wholesome, delicious meal. They keep odd hours, so I'd recommend checking their schedule before setting your heart on a visit. My favourite thing to get here is the BBQ Tofu Salad Wrap, which is made with smoky tofu, sweet creamy barbecue sauce, and crisp veggies wrapped on a soft whole wheat tortilla. The description doesn't do this addictive sandwich justice. The veggies are incredibly fresh, the sauce is unbearably delicious, and I can't even begin to describe how ridiculously good the smoky tofu is. I have the opportunity to eat this tasty wrap just one time every year or two, but the flavour is permanently imprinted on my tongue.

All the food was yummy and the ambience was fantastic! Such a neat dining experience. Highly…read morerecommend. I look forward to returning
