Rhinoplasty Review Issues I am horrified by my overall experience and result. During my consultation, I explained that my main concern was that the tip of my nose appeared too large and round. The consultation felt rushed, but I moved forward with surgery trusting Dr Tyrone's expertise. After my rhinoplasty, I called the office twice while my cast (which was just tape) was on because it felt extremely loose. I offered to come in to have it checked, but the nurse reassured me it was fine. When the cast was removed, it was barely attached to my face, and the nurse even commented that it was the easiest cast she had ever removed. As swelling went down over the next few months, it became clear something was wrong. The tip of my nose remained very large and pointed/crooked and one nostril began collapsing, my nose ran constantly, and I developed a noticeable lump on the outer nostril that did not resolve. When I raised concerns, I was often met with brief responses such as "that's odd" or told it would go away. A steroid injection was done to try to shrink the tip but that wasn't helpful. I noticed that the nasal bones at the top of my nose were protruding outward, causing VERY visible divots along the bridge and a very flat and bumpy appearance across the bridge. The bones that protrude outward are causing an inverted V shape on my nose. The tip of my nose is also noticeably crooked and my nostril look completely uneven. All of these irregularities are very noticeable, painful and very obvious. Instead of addressing the structural and cosmetic issues, Dr. Tyrone suggested placing filler in my nose for $400 to camouflage the mistakes. I obviously declined. I sought out two separate second opinions from other surgeons. Both confirmed that I was left with an open roof deformity and an inverted V deformity due to over-resection of bone. These are structural complications that are noticeable and painful and unfortunately, I may not be left with enough cartilage to fix my nose unless a surgeon harvests cartilage from elsewhere. Dr. Tyrone offered a revision surgery ONLY after I mentioned that I knew I had serious issues going on. He seemed annoyed. Unfortunately, for a revision, he quoted me nearly half of the original rhinoplasty cost, with no assurance of correction. I was told he could "try" to rasp down the sharp edges, but there was little confidence expressed. He said my nasal bones are comparable to a greenstick fracture. He said there's a lot of risk in revision and he wasn't very encouraging as he doesn't offer revisions. Due to financial limitations, I was essentially dismissed. I asked the woman working at the front desk if I needed to be seen again, as I was being seen every 2 months for a check up. I was told I would be seen again if I proceeded with revision surgery. I saved for years for this procedure. I am now left with pain, visible deformities on the center of my face, and no resolution at this time. I wish I had done more research before proceeding. Personally, I would be ashamed keeping someone's money and this be the outcome. Not only that, but if I went through with a revision surgery, I would be paying nearly half the cost of my original surgery. Please take your time, do multiple consultations with different surgeons and make sure you feel fully heard before moving forward with any surgery. My advice, please don't go here. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. I do not recommend Dr Tyrone. I had a horrible experience. My face was ruined (aesthetically and functionally). And he and his office manager/wife care nothing except about making money. ZERO empathy. I can't close my eyes. (Try washing your face, taking a shower or jumping in a pool with open eyes). And I drool after he gave me a face DROP and pulled the corners of my mouth down. He gave me a permanent frown. They are very good at gaslighting. There are way better surgeons and people out there. Trust your gut. And do your research. Get multiple opinions and talk to aestheticians anywhere. So many have told me what a horror he is. Dr Tyrone kept telling me to give it time. He told me to stop looking in the mirror. Be patient. Always putting it on me. Gaslighting! My eyes do not close. I have huge "dog ears" or bumps at the corners of my eyes. Noticeable scars. He told me he never had a patient with the bumps/dog ears and they would go away. The shape of my face went from a triangle to square. People I know don't recognize me. He showed no pride in his work. And he doesn't care, my face is deformed and he has changed my whole life. Showering with eyes that don't close is a nightmare. I have not washed my face like a normal person in three years. Wind...ouch. I wear protective eyewear to do basic things like cooking. But it is inevitable and documented that my eyes are being damaged. My constant thoughts are about protecting my eyes. And trying to smile all of the time so I can hide my permanent resting frowny face and not drool. And on top of the function problems, I look ten years older and like a different person. read more

I would highly recommend Dr. Tyrone and his team. I conducted my research and meet with Dr. Tyrone on a couple of occasions to make sure I did my due diligence and had the confidence in my surgeon. Love love love! From my very first call to schedule a consultation, to post surgery, I have loved every encounter with both Dr. Tyrone and all of his staff. Dr. Tyrone's office claims to shoot for excellence in all areas and I personally feel as though they deliver across the board. Dr. Tyrone himself is very professional and honest. When I began my breast augmentation journey I thought I wanted a D cup. Dr. Tyrone was very up front from the beginning, explaining why a D would not work for me. All the way up until the day of my surgery I still had it in my head that a D cup was what I wanted, but I knew deep down that Dr. Tyrone was the expert, so I went with his recommendation and ended up with a very natural and frame fitting full C cup. I am so happy! Surgery day was amazing. I was brought back to a nice warm bed and my nurses were amazing at keeping my mind off of the IV (I have a phobia of needles) and they helped to ease the pre-surgical jitters. The entire team from triage and OR nurses to the anesthesiologists, were hands down THE BEST. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people. Postoperative I have had some discomfort and have had to call the office multiple times to ask questions, not once did I feel like a burden. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Tyrone and his amazing staff! I traveled from Hawaii to Florida to have my breast augmentation done by him and I am so happy I did! Everyone in the office is phenomenal and extremely caring. I planned everything with Robbie and I felt like I had known her for years when I met her at my pre-op appointment. She answered all of my hundreds of questions and helped make me feel comfortable with my decision. Every nurse I encountered was fantastic! I wish I remembered all of their names, but they all were very friendly and made me feel at ease on surgery day. They were professional and personable and made the experience that much better. Dr. Tyrone is a miracle worker! You can tell how experienced he is by his bed side manner and his knowledge of the procedure. After his consultation I didn't have any questions and felt confident going into surgery. He was attentive and gave me his recommendations on what would be the best for the look I wanted. Surgery day was a breeze and my husband said I was done in about an hour! Would not recommend Dr. Tyrone. Though him and his staff were very friendly, he did not seem to want to do what I wanted, rather he did what he THOUGHT I should want. Luckily, I never saw him past the consultation. He did not seem very creative when it came to rhinoplastys, all of his former surgerys had almost identically noses (and they weren't even noses I liked). I may have gone further with him and would have insisted he do what I wanted, however, somebody was suppose to contact me about insurance and I never heard from them. Not very professional. read more
