As you can see from the "before" picture of our project, it was pretty much a blank canvas at the start. We knew kind of what we wanted, but that's about it. I enjoyed working with Randy from the start. Communication is the KEY to success on projects and I commend him for his emails and texts. I knew when he was going to arrive and when there were any issues. He was so incredibly patient with us as well, as we were deciding some of the materials as the job was progressing. He and his team were consummate professionals from start to finish. The photos not posted, of the very, very wet and cold days would show the tented areas and the mud. I felt like I wanted to apologize every day. There were a couple changes I made mid-project and Randy was awesome about just making it happen - and quickly! I'm not sure I've seen someone work harder and have such talent in their craft. He knew things only decades of experience teach you. In closing, I would just say that anyone I come across that needs any type of stone or masonry work done will be getting referred to Oregon Brick. Hardline installed two fireplaces for us, both of which involved demolishing the old 1970s rock wall fireplaces. One required building a four-sided, free standing cage from floor to ceiling, and one required a flush wall cage, again from floor to ceiling. They gave us the exact square footage we needed to order the tile [Bedrosians Tile and Stone] and the Schluter [our new favorite word] trim. They installed the tiles we picked out, built and laid new hearths, assembled the inserts that we bought, and installed the gas lines. They directed us to Lisac's for the inserts and Lisac's was also great to deal with. They also gave us a tutorial of the remote control after the jobs were finished [it's not just off and on anymore!]. Every single person that sees our living room fireplace gives us a "WOW"! I'm just sorry that we don't have anymore fireplaces that need to be done, but since they also offer a yearly maintenance contract for a very reasonable price, I signed up for two years as I am afraid of anything fire-related so we'll still get to see them once a year.

He listened to all my far-fetched ideas and was patient with me the entire time, but I eventually had to scale back some of those crazy ideas so I could stay within my budget. After many design iterations and so many wishful thinking, I finally decided on what was best for my backyard. Giovanni was very patient with my many changes and ideas and when I finalized the design, his awesome crew went to work. After 4 years of unused backyard space and being probably the last house on my block without a family backyard, I can now say we have a backyard that finally has an identity. The entire process was truly remarkable. Giovanni truly has a keen eye, great understanding and knowledge of materials, working with the materials vendors and providing feedback on changes in the design as well as provide suggestions as well as communicating the work to his fantastic crew that put many hours of physical labor, working under the elements and spending much time and effort to make all of this possible. His crew works hard and they communicate well together. Only the final day of work, I can see that even the crew was truly amazed at the final product that came to fruition with their own hands. I could see a lot of pride from their faces when they finished out the last day as they took pictures of their work.
