We want excellent work but don't always know exactly what that entails. I'm so grateful to have a contractor like Andy who led our projects with his experience. This whole company is a highly ethical and experienced group of talented professionals. We have had three separate projects done incredibly well by them, a front door replacement, hardwood flooring installed along with a bathroom renovation, and a sliding door replacement. All three jobs completed on time and with great quality and attention to detail.. I'm so incredibly happy with the work they've done. Amazing professionals! Already planning the next remodelling job for them to do!!!

This is a story of a leaky shower. After literally years of hiring various well regarded plumbers…read moreand handymen to try to remedy it, it always leaked again - usually in less than a year. When mold showed through the ceiling of the room below the shower and the mold remediation contractor cut through the ceiling it was clear we needed to consider replacing the shower and much of the subfloor. Serious perusing of reviews on yelp led me to JRW. Just one phone call made me hopeful. First they re- grouted the shower pan/wall connection so it could be used until they had an opening in their schedule a few weeks away to replace the shower. Finally the big day came. Joel (the owner) sent me photos (it was a tenant occupied home) everyday and explained every step of the way what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He respected my decisions. He also picked out materials subject to my approval - and I always said yes because his choices were excellent as well as in budget. I had been concerned of the impact of a big project with workers in and out every day for a week or so on the tenants. I needn't have worried, the day after it was complete the tenant emailed me unsolicited and said that the workers did a great job: excellent workmanship, seemed trustworthy, respectful of the tenants and house, cleaned up everything and though they hope no more issues arise, they said if workers are ever needed there again they would hope it's the crew from JRW. Two small issues arose unrelated to this project (sticky door and gutter issue) and Joel took care of them for a minor charge. Most mom and pop landlords will tell you- the dreaded call from a tenant that something is broken causes you a few minutes of angst trying to figure out who to call to get it fixed. Now that I know about JRW, I won't feel that worry anymore.

Joel, Ed, and the others are a pleasure to work with. The first job was a master bath remodel, which came out beautiful. A few years later they replaced our 2 sliding patio doors and went the extra mile when they found out that the wood under one of them was rotted. At that time, they also repaired our ceiling which was damaged when our roof leaked. Earlier this year, they replaced a shower surround and kitchen sink. I recommend them!

Martin did a wonderful job, completing various projects around our house. He replaced and painted…read morethe bi-fold doors in the laundry room. The area around the furnace room door needed some repair, and Martin replaced a few wooden boards surrounding it. He also painted the boards to match the original color. The lock to the front door had gone through a few mishaps, and was hanging by a thread. We asked Martin if he could replace it with a touch screen lock system. He took his time completing this task; we could not be any happier with our new system. He replaced the dining room chandelier, and fans in both the family room and bed room. As for outside the house, he was able to fix a few fence panels in the backyard. His work is neat, detailed, and he gets it done in a timely manner. We also want to point out that Martin is very punctual, always a bonus! His rates are very reasonably priced. He is friendly, professional, and overall has a nice demeanor. We are very happy with his work and will definitely hire him again!

He was knowledgeable on the subject and he said Kevin would be sending a quote. i did get quotes from other companies and we settled on Naperville. They were very accommodating on the dates that we needed the work done by. The day that they were to start, Kevin asked for a deposit. The company wrote a check to Naperville Painting and Epoxy. Kevin called and stated that the bank bounced the check back because it should have been written to C&C painting. He came back and gave me the original check back and assured me that it was not cashed. Our bank said that it was. he took a picture and it was deposited. Kevin kept assuring me that it was not and that maybe there was a hold on it. The associates that came out did a great job and worked hard. The job was finished and I asked again about the check because the money was not back in the account. He told me he was working with the bank on it. Long story short, i paid the rest of the money without with holding the original deposit. I know, foolish me. Since then he stopped taking calls and emails. it was always one excuse after the other. Kevin knows that the money is owed but now all his voice mail is full and the Naperville phone number always bounces to his cell. I fell for the SCAM and still have not received a response. Jesse walked me through the scope of work upfront and we moved forward. The job wasn't simple -- the wall behind the shelves had herringbone tile. That's exactly the outcome you hope for with tile work.
