He came in on his day off and took care of my painfull tooth with a temperary fix then scheduled me to come in that next monday to have the real work done. Not only was he professional but friendly and never once treated me like I didnt know what was going on. Some of the best dental work I have ever had done, but it was a bit pricy. And I've never had a more thorough post examination from a Dr. before. When I complimented Aislynn on her artistry, she told me that because Dr.Rugeley was such a wonderful dentist and employer, she's been with him for 15 years and will retire when he retires. Dr Rugeley is exactly what we look for in health care providers: professional, knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, and caring. His attitude is reflected in his staff. Most of his hygienists and front desk staff have worked with him for years. (Shout out to BJ, who is charming and so friendly) In my lifetime I've been to a number of dental offices as I've grown up and lived in different places. Never have I had a better dentist. I've now had 2 cleanings, a cavity, and a crown done by this office, and I have ZERO complaints. I'm a fairly nervous nellie when it comes to dental work, but they almost have me looking forward to my appointments. The scraping part of the cleaning - they're so gentle it almost felt like a massage... even after 3 years of no dentist. To numb your mouth, they have a great technique where you only feel the first shot or 2. I've rarely had any appointments run over the time alotted (today, we were about 10 mins over because it took extra time for the novacane to kick in), and the receptionist/staff are super nice. They call one week and the day before to remind you of appointments. I have nothing bad to say - minus it seems a little pricey - but that may just be that I don't have quite A list insurance anymore. It's worth it though - I had a crown done this morning and I was eating comfortably by 1pm with no pain, swelling, or any uncomfortableness in my mouth. Even if it is pricey (and I'm not sure it is), it's totally worth it. read more

I tried to cancel an appointment because I had to go with my grandparents to the hospital the day after Christmas, but they charged me 75$ for a cancellation fee even though I called 24 hours+ before my appointment. When I refused to pay the ridiculous fee, they fucked up my credit over it. I also found out that my bite guard they charged me nearly a thousand dollars for should have only cost me about $200. Don't be blindsided by his nice demenor, all they care about is your money even if they have to be shady to get it. What sort of crappy Christian charges someone a cancellation fee for taking their grandparents to the hospital the day after Christmas when they called 24 hours ahead of time? I have been going here for over 13 years I think. I had family and friends all recommend them, and have since recommended them to everyone who needs a dentist. Dr. Rugeley is likely one of the most friendliest, genuinely nicest people on the planet and that shows through when you are in his chair. I originally had no insurance, then had in network, and now am out of network, but I just eat the difference because I do not want to go anywhere else. The staff is super friendly, and cleanings have alternative technologies so there can be less scraping, and if you aren't 100% happy with the experience, it must have been an off day, because everyone I know who goes, loves these folks. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Rugeley for the past 3 years. After a terrible experience with a dentist down the road, I took the recommendation of my friend Tim and came to this office. What a world of difference! Dr. Rugeley not only had a better rapport with his patients, but he immediately noted the bad work done on my teeth previously and set to work on a plan to get it fixed. My husband, who also suffers from the fait of bad teeth genetics has continued to experience great work here as well. He and I have both been recommended to specialists for root canals and gum work, and I never doubt that Dr. Rugeley sends us to the right people. Fast forward 3 years later, I have a daughter who will begin her cleanings and treatments here as well this summer. Aside from the dentistry work, the hygienists and front desk staff are some of the loveliest people I've met. Everyone is sweet and kind, and the billing department is also great at working with you if there are any issues with payment. Best dentist and dentist office I've been to. Booking an appointment was fantastic. Stephanie, the office manager was so easy to work with and very patient. My last dentist pretty much sucked and made the whole transition difficult, but Stephanie kept it cool and helped me not stress about it too much. In the end it worked out fine, but if Stephanie had not been handling it, I'm sure it would have not gone as smoothly. The intake process was easy and everything was running on time! The hygienist, Aslen (spelling?) who worked on my teeth was so gentle, so patient and so sweet. She said she had been working with Dr. Rugeley for 10 years and has been seeing some of the same patients. That type of commitment and loyalty to this office doesn't surprise me because they are that good. I have cold sensitivity and some receding gum line so I can get a little jumpy during cleanings. My hygienist talked me through everything that she was going to do, checked in with me often and did everything she could to make me comfortable. It was great. Then after my x-rays, cleaning and pictures, Dr. Rugeley came in and did an additional evaluation that was so thorough. He's very warm, kind and a great listener. Very personable. Every time I step out of Dr Rugeley's office I forget that I just went to the dentist. Beyond the fact that I have never left his practice in pain, I have also never left his practice wondering, "Could they have squeezed more pennies out of my insurance?" He also never pushes you to undergo procedures that don't fit your budget at the time. Recently I needed a crown for my back molar and I decided on a high noble gold crown. Unfortunately, the lab did not carry the precious alloy combination I wanted. Dr. Rugeley spoke with the lab and the lab ordered the precious alloy material I requested. Dr. Rugeley has gone above and beyond my expectations. His work is always of the highest quality. was referred by my boss so I filled out the paperwork in advance and got seen for the initial new patient stuff then a month later for my cleaning. I have insurance so I paid like 3 dollars each time . Well two months later I get a huge bill saying I'm not covered by them. Not once did I get a heads up from their staff that there was an issue with my insurance because apparently I have an HMO and they aren't my primary. This is very wrong and someone clearly didn't do their job now I'm expected to pay for it when I would've never been seen by them if I wasn't covered. I'm very angry when I called they said well did you show your insurance the day of? I said no so then they came back and said well we expect our patients to now what their insurance covers (this is my first time using this insurance). Not cool read more

We are new to Austin and I'm happy to have found Dr. Rugeley. He is gentle and patient and explains all the procedures to me. I think his philosophy is a good one in that he wants to take care of things when they are small and not wait until you need a crown or root canal. All of his office staff are super, very kind. Aislynn cleaned my teeth and did a great job. Stephanie, Kewanda, and Tatjana are so nice and considerate.
