My dishwasher was improperly hooked up and was flooding under the sink. I spoke to John and he diagnosed it over the phone as most likely the air gap not connected correctly. He was able to send a technician out in a few days. Austen showed up and confirmed the issue was as John thought. He fixed the problem quickly, and was extremely professional. The flooding unfortunately ruined our garbage disposal. Austen stated that once we purchased a new disposal he could install that for us as well. While he was there I had him look at our showers which we both not working properly. He determined the both needed new cartridges. John scheduled Austen to come back two days later and he quickly took care of all three issues. Again quick, quality work, lots of communication and professionalism. I would highly recommend them! read more

Issue was with Rheem tankless water heater; no hot water for days. Found John Gleason through ChatGPT as recommended Rheem technician service. Inquired around and the hourly rate seemed high, but active for John Gleason cost-benefit to get the matter handled a timely fashion. Pros: - service person Kevin was able to come out earlier than planned and was very personable and knowledgeable Cons: - Communications could be a little more contemporary; competitors are using email and text messaging - had to follow up in order to get an update and wish that would've been more proactively communicated read more

We used John Gleason Plumbing services to replace our water pressure meter and valve. The pricing was less expensive than the quotes we received from other providers. We were able to get an appointment very quickly. Manny, who performed the replacement work was very methodical and walked us through the entire process before starting the work. His work was of very good quality, was performed efficiently and quickly. We were very satisfied with the work, and will use them for future plumbing needs, read more

Same day service. Price was quoted for the work, and even when an added job of snaking a separate drain was necessary, the price remained the same. Eric is a great example of customer service. Thank you. read more

Highly recommend John Gleason Plumbing! Great communication and timely service from John and his associate Eric. I was absolutely shocked when I got the invoice, because I was expecting to pay much more. Eric gave me an ETA and showed up right on time. He cheerfully got straight to work and remained so throughout the entire job, patiently answering all of our questions. We would not hesitate to recommend or call them again. read more

John had a personal problem, so his wife asked us to give him some time to reply about our Todo toilet that was not flushing and causing yellow stains and porcelain corroding. We have dealt with John for 25 years. He installed the Todo in 2017. Days later, he called and sent Austin. Austin said the valve was congested, but tank ok . He would talk to John about a new bowl. 1 week went by. I called John and his wife said she would call us back. Two days later, I called. John answered and was unaware of Austin telling us he would check with him. He said we cannot get a bowl separately. " Austin is just a kid. " $135 for a kid'smistake. We called Baswell Plumbing and Jason told us clogging was due to not flushing which happens in Todo toilets. We ordered another toilet brand. NMWD recently notified me there was a leak in my water supply. After the leak was detected by Mark Mengarelli from Leak Detection Pros I decided to have the entire line replaced since it was almost 50 years old and only a matter of time before another leak appeared. John and his crew were on it and had it replaced in a short period of time. During the trench digging a temporary line was installed so we were without water only briefly. John is a good communicator and was prompt answering my calls. He and all his crew were very pleasant to work with and I am pleased with the entire process. read more

John Gleason's team solved a major problem for us when tree roots destroyed a 5' section of the sewer pipe running from our house to the street lateral. Austin, Eric and Jordan knew exactly what to do, how to do it, and they had all of the high-tech equipment required to find the affected area deep underground. They surgically removed that section and installed a new piece of pipe, all without any stress or undue concern. I will be using these guys again in the future when the inevitable plumbing issues arise! read more

I called John Gleason plumbing to replace a toilet. They listened carefully to my needs and set up an appointment to fit my schedule. I highly recommend John Gleason - he'll take good care of you. read more

The hose bib broke off our tap and we could not turn the water off. I called our usual plumber who was booked out until next week. I checked Novato in the Know and saw that folks had recommended John's Plumbing. I called and spoke to Barbara and she sent over Ruben and Austen a couple of hours later. Quick and efficient and very reliable. Thank you from an expensive water bill!! read more

John responded immediately to a water leak problem After a thorough and efficient inspection, John promptly recruited a water damage expert and a building contractor to augment the team. Each recruit was vouched for by John, and each was first rate. As the solution to the problem moved away from plumbing, John graciously made room for the two other experts, but he made sure that we were getting served well. John combines the knowledge, wisdom, judgement and resourcefulness of an experienced pro. He obviously cares about his clients, and his warmth and professionalism generate calm and the confidence that all will turn out just fine. john Gleason is our "go to" plumber. read more

Extremely responsive, quick, reasonably-priced. Hot water heater went down and got it resolved in a day. Highly recommend.

Highly Recommended My son recommended John, I called on a Saturday to set an appointment for a leaky shower faucet. Not an emergency, but it was leaking about 20 gallons a day. John had Austin Garcia here on Monday, diagnosed the problem, got that parts and fixed the leak. Very satisfied with the timeliness, Austin and his ability's to fix the problem at a reasonable cost. John and his crew did a great job with a complex problem. Shower valve failures compounded by a defective water heater and an integrated solar system was solved with disciplined trouble shooting, which included several calls to factory reps and other vendors. Rubin is highly skilled and very efficient. Austin is right there too! These guys know plumbing. Their skill, workmanship and knowledge is top notch. P.S. Months ago, John quoted me on a generator hook up using natural gas. He quoted a price that was significantly below competitors, but he also counseled me on other alternatives, which I pursued. I chose the other alternatives and recognized his advice was at my benefit but at his loss. That's puts your customer first. I like that. read more

Very happy with John's crew and the business in general. John discussed the project with me in detail, which I appreciated (and often isn't the case with businesses) so the quote would be reasonably accurate, and his crew was diligent throughout the project. Would recommend and plan to work with John again. read more

We hired another plumber to fix our dishwasher water supply line and they spent two hours and couldn't fix it. We then called John Gleason plumbing and his workers came out the next day. It took two of them 2 1/2 hours to fix the thing but they stayed here until they were able to solve the problem. John Gleason went out of his way to accommodate our needs. I will never call another plumber other than John again. read more

About 7 months back I got a new job (facility ops) and inherited John Gleason Plumbing as a vendor. I couldn't be happier with the excellent service, care and attention to detail that him and his crew operate with. I can always count on them to get the job done and most importantly at a reasonable price. I changed out and fired plenty of the vendors that I inherited when I got this job because I didn't feel we were getting the proper service for the price. That was NOT the case with John Gleason plumbing. They are excellent and will always get the job done in a timely fashion. I have personally dealt with Mr John Gleason on a consistent basis. In my business we need a reliable and experienced plumber for our sites in the north bay. And we have just that with John and his crew. The special thing about John is that you can tell he truly cares about his customers. On numerous occasions he had gone out of his way and the scope of the job to tell me about other issues going on in my stores that could be detrimental to business. He didn't have to do that, he's just a good person and that's what good people do. I feel like I can read people pretty well consider by my line of work, and John Gleason is not only a great plumber but and even better man. I highly recommend this John Gleason Plumbing to anybody who wants to simply have the job done right by a reliable company. -Rocco read more

We recently contacted John Gleason Plumbing after receiving an exorbitant water bill. Will came out and thoroughly inspected the house. He found several concerns and pointed out those items which I could more readily address myself, if so inclined. I deferred to him on all counts. I appreciated that he brought me in to explain his work. Some of the work required new parts. We scheduled him to return while we were away on vacation. Returning home we found that, in addition to fixing the remaining concerns, he'd brought in our trash cans. He also called to follow up after he knew we'd returned. We were very pleased with the level of service we received from John Gleason Plumbing. We will think of them first when future plumbing concerns arise. read more

He did it again!!! HUGE shoutout to John Gleason Plumbing!!!! John came and saved the day on a plumbing emergency for us this weekend. 3 weeks ago I had a sluggish bath and laundry drain. A well-known plumber came out and snaked out the drain cutting any roots which normally solves the problem. Not this time. On a Saturday (yesterday) my toilet was backed up and not in a pretty way. These things ONLY seem to happen in my house on the weekend at the double rate fee. I am so happy I found John Gleason who is such an honorable and decent man. He not only answers his phone on a Sunday but had a heart and came right to my house. In 5 minutes after he arrived my toilet was unclogged and everything back to normal. I notice small things which are always big in my world. John is very clean and considerate. He brought his own clean white rags and washed his hands before writing my receipt. Nice touch. I recommend him if you want an honest, to the point guy who won't offer to sell you a new toilet or system if you don't need it. Good guy. Thanks, John. read more

I called John Gleason because I was having problems with my main sewer line. I had received an estimate from another company for 13k to replace the line. I needed a second opinion and thank God I found John. He showed up within an hour of my phone call and he was able to clear the pipe without replacing the entire line. ... wow ! He saved me so much money and relieved my stress. I can not tell you what a relief it is to find a plumber that I can trust. I cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for his professional, experienced, and honest service. He is a straight forward, kind and caring person. I highly recommend John and his team. read more

Friendly, honest, quick to come out (like less than an hour), found & fixed the problem fast; John Gleason Plumbing was a pleasure to work with. When you have an emergency and your business relies on having equipment that works, toilets that flush, absolutely NO backups and a very very quick response time John is who we call. For the most part we use our facilities personnel to fix minor plumbing issues but when some plumbing catastrophe happens we need the extra reassurance that come from a reliable plumber who is insured & boned. We have shopped around for a plumber that can basically come immediately when called for an emergency plumbing situation, as a medical facility we needed a reliable partner that is as committed to us as we are with our clients. John has so far showed us that he is our man and we are grateful for his professionalism, quality work and speediness. read more

Three times John's Plumbing has come to the rescue like a Plumber in Shining Armor! Once a clogged pipe, then a slow drain and finally a a broken garbage disposal. And each time they showed up immediately, did the job and cleaned up as if they were never there. Friendly and competent, you want these guys in your home! Do not go with the big chains when you can have local service and neighborly help. Scheduling the job was easy, they showed up early each time and did better work than expected. And the price was very fair!! I'd give them six stars if I could. read more

John and his crew replaced our water heater and also added a hot water recirculation pump at the same time. They did a great job installing the water heater and pump and rerouted the copper supply lines providing a very clean and professional installation. The next day I found the hot water was not recirculating and contacted John. He sent his crew out right away to determine the problem. This turned into a problem where John had to send his crew out two times, contact the company at least twice, replaced the pump, bypass valve and still no luck. On the third visit Austin came out and found two small check valves that had been installed during a kitchen remodel 2 years before that was stopping the water from recirculating. Nothing to do with their install. Problem solved! The bottom line for this long review is that John, Barbara and his crew stuck with with me on this until the problem was solved. Friendly hard working people that are a pleasure to work with. read more

Austin Garcia is a nice young man who works for John Gleason. Austin showed up 15 minutes early on Friday, May 21, 2021 when we needed our kitchen sink unclogged because it was beginning to show signs of a slow drain. Austin did everything he could to try to unclog the drain, but it appeared to be a clog between the home and the street. Austin believed the snake he was using was not only strong enough, but not long enough. He went back to the shop to get a longer and strong snake, returned to the home and within an hour, he got the line unclogged. Austin was persistent and confident that he could get the repair done before needing to do any serious work like digging out the pipe near the street. John the owner called me that morning to confirm the appointment, also followed up during the appointment and followed up after the appointment. This company was referred to me by our neighbors "The Williams". I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again in the future. Thank you Austin for taking care of business. read more

This will be an unusual review. I've never used this company nor do I know them. I called on a Sunday because I had a backed up sewer line. John called me back shortly and while explaining that he couldn't get to me on a Sunday, he spent a good 20 minutes on the phone with me explaining what was likely happening to my line, gave me suggestions about who to call to help and then told me what to ask about guaranteed work, billing, additional, likely unnecessary, services I might be told I needed, etc. John wasn't going to do the job, he wasn't going to get paid, yet he spent an extraordinary amount of time helping me deal with my issue. Amazing. Then, the next day, Monday, he called me back to see if I had been able to get help and see how I was doing. I told him I had an appointment later in the day and, again, he told me what to ask for, what to expect....and to let him know how this turned out for me after the work was completed. Are you kidding me. He was like a caring uncle looking out for his clueless nephew. If I EVER need plumbing help, this is my guy. Thank you John read more

Our garbage disposal was clogged and Austen and Owen were at our home within a hour. Turns out there was a small nail that was stuck, preventing the gears from moving. I have used several plumbers in my many years living here.  Back in April, and again (for a different reason) this month, I used John Gleason Plumbing Plumbing and Sewer Services.   see their site: https://johngleasonplumbing.com/Home .  I was SO pleased with all their work!  John and his wife Barbara own the business, have  been around for a long time, and are VERY experienced.  They were excellent at returning calls, showing up when they promised, etc.  The plumbers they have employed for a long time all know what they're doing, and have a cordial relationship with John and Barbara. This was the the best experience that I've had with a plumber in a long time. Paul arrived half an hour early to clean out a badly clogged drain, and used two different snakes until the blockage was cleared up. He also fixed a leak in the pipes under our sink that had been caused by a previous plumber's costly, but imperfect, installation of a new sink and disposer. I highly recommend John's Plumbing.
