As far as doctor's go, Dr. Spivack is great. However, I have to share my experience with their…read moreRenown office to those of you who are looking for good care. I have been going to his office at Renown for a couple of years now. I am freshly postpartum with a nine week old baby who just got his vaccinations yesterday. I left the house with plenty of time to spare, but was 20 minutes late due to circumstances out of my control - something was spilled all over the highway leading to stand still traffic. I arrive to the office and was told he has a full schedule and can't see me today after I just spent an hour plus in traffic with a fussy newborn. I absolutely respect people's time and tried to explain my situation as best as I could letting them know how I made extensive effort to be there although I was 10 minutes past their 10 minute late policy. They were not understanding and held their ground. I then canceled my appointments with them altogether and, freshly postpartum, left the office crying. After being a patient there for years, I was given no grace or understanding. Medical assistants and office staff were not empathetic or understanding to a situation that is clearly a genuine extenuating circumstance entirely out of my control. If you're looking for a Renown office that offers empathy and humanity, this office is unfortunately lacking.

He is always on top of research, he listens and takes notes of every detail being said and i could tell he does not take symptoms for granted. His nurse who also sees us is practices the same care. They are gentle and nurturing especially during EEG sessions. We were sad when my son turned 18 because we knew we had to transfer to another neuro doctor. We would still choose Dr. Rodriguez and his staff if we had to do it over again.

The student went to talk to the doctor after taking my history and doing an assessment. The doctor told me my primary issue wasn't neurological. He was pretty matter of fact about it which I guess people could take the wrong way, but I like it pretty clear cut. He then gave me good medical advice on my issue. Then he told me about headaches, gave me a headache journal, and told me to call if me headache worsened. Personally, I liked him and every staff member I talked with. It also seemed like I got in a little early.

My phone number is 775-309-8613 and the landline is 775-265-6808 just for his information I used to drink like a fish. I have now been cleaning sober from everything and I attend AA meetings and I'm doing awesome and will not ever go back but I can't deal with this pain anymore. It is ruining my life. I'm 67 years old and I can't do anything but eat lay on the couch and go to the bathroom So somebody called me either way and if he can't see me, maybe he can refer me to somebody that can take you very much. My name is Kelly Lapin. I hope you had an awesome weekend. Thank you.

I'm sad to say this amazing doctor is hanging it up after many years of dedicated practice in a…read morespecialty that is hard to duplicate knowledge in. I have been a patient for about 7-years, and I could not be any happier with his level of attention, his chair side manner, and his ability to actually listen to the patient. Having a specific genetic disorder that is approached with other unknowns is hard enough. One of these unknowns brought me here and he not only described the issue but has been instrumental in my mitigation of migraines and visual fatigue in the workplace. He completes paperwork as required and ensures my onset medications are refilled quickly. And because of the uniqueness of my diagnoses, I have had the opportunity to train some of his staff in working with me specifically or others like me to produce positive results in testing and photography/scans that can be otherwise difficult to accomplish. My favorite memory here....the ability to play Stump the Chump with one of his UNR interns doing an ophthalmology rotation. This guy had no clue what he was up against and Dr. H just sat back and enjoyed the show! One review said "his ego can inflate a hot air balloon!" Of course it can! This man has earned accreditation and validation to the point of being published in his research and treatment and the accolades that come with that honor. I am going to have a hard time having someone else follow me - if they can, that is! The journey I've had with Dr. Hershewe bas been an amazing one - I have learned a lot and glad I was referred to him during a huge time of unknowns in my world. He made the difference. Thank you for all you and your staff did!

Dr. Smith is part of the Reno Family Physicians, but is a separate practice through a program…read morecalled MDVIP. This is basically a concierge style medical practice that allows for a better option to see your physician when you need to. There is a cost associated to this level of service, but given the current healthcare climate, I think it is money well spent. This allows Dr. Smith to actually know what ailments you might have or how to maintain or improve your health. With the MDVIP program, Dr. Smith has an opportunity to know your name and your comprehensive health history, not just reading your chart. This is a very custom approach to medicine that you don't see in most doctors offices. The wait to see Dr. Smith is usually very short. If you call to set up an appointment, often times you can be seen the same day or the next day depending on his schedule. In most cases once you walk in, you will be directed to the separate waiting area for Dr. Smith's patients that includes bottled water, TV, and light healthy snacks. The longest I have had to wait is around five or 10 minutes. The nurse will come and get you, take you to an exam room, and talk about what the reason for your visit is and to take your vitals. Dr. Smith is generally prompt with his appointment times, and wastes little time getting to see you. I have been a patient of Dr. Paul Smith for several years and know he is a real person, and talks to you like a real person. He knows about you and your family, and how your health affects both. He enjoys athletic activities, and often shares stories of his recent adventures. He is passionate about the care he provides to his patients, and does everything he can to understand what ails them or how to improve their overall health. There are numerous opportunities throughout the year to interact with Dr. Smith with outdoor activities, cooking seminars, or trying new athletic activities to help provide alternatives to a sedentary lifestyle. Another component of the program includes an annual wellness check. This is similar to a baseline physical, that evaluates your comprehensive well-being and is way more thorough. There is a battery of tests and blood samples taken to identify areas of concern and or areas that you are doing well with. It is always nice to see improvement in your progress year after year.
