A large project with big ornamental plants naturally brings some challenges, but all issues were addressed and made right in the end. Irrigation was installed to the plants and spacing was done well for a symmetrical, automated setup. The largest tree, a Mediterranean fan palm in a 30" box, was installed expertly - showing they can handle heavy, mature trees as well. First he called me back and said that the worker denied breaking it. Then said they would fix it anyway. 2 weeks later (during a heat wave) unable to run part of my sprinklers I had to hire someone else who fixed it in 10 minutes. I supplied the parts at a cost of $10.00 and later got a bill from Sweet Home for the entire bill for service the month before and marked "Overdue". How dare they! Most of the bushes they were to trim were not even touched. I would never use them again! Leo just called me and threatened to break the windows in my house if I do not take down this review. BEWARE!

Just over a year ago when we moved into our current home, we put our trust in John to redo our…read morebackyard landscape and concrete work. The backyard was a disaster since the home had been vacant for a few years. During the project, we added a waterfall to our slope as a last-minute change order. We left the waterfall design entirely up to John. He created an absolutely beautiful waterfall and installed it within a week or two, including the ability to turn the waterfall on and off from inside the house (really cool!). During the first year, we had some difficulty with the waterfall's continuous operation, but each time John was able to resolve the issue. The last time the waterfall went down, about 3 months ago, John identified the pump was defective and replaced it with a new one at no cost. The waterfall has since been running continuously without any problems. As a side note, the day before John was coming out to install the new pump, I broke a water line while trying to dislodge a hose that was frozen to the hose bibb. When I mentioned this to John and mentioned the quotes I had from plumbers to fix, he offered to fix it for substantially less. Thank you, John! John has a natural eye for landscaping and during this past year, he has come up with many suggestions that have enhanced our original landscaping plans. The only reason for 4 stars is we are still in the process of refining the backyard landscape with John, replacing a few plants that died, and adding more color. After we are completely done landscaping the backyard, I will do a follow-up review. I am hoping to be giving John 5 stars!
