Fredgie's World Famous Hot Dog & More definitely lives up to its name!…read moreThe first thing I noticed was the scenic outdoor seating area. It's a great place to relax, enjoy your meal, and take in the surroundings. Ellie provided outstanding service from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. I ordered the Fredgie's Original Hot Dog, topped with spicy mustard, peanut butter, and chili. I know peanut butter on a hot dog sounds unusual, but trust me--it works! Every bite was delicious, and I can honestly say their "World Famous" claim is well deserved. The hot dog itself was perfectly cooked with a great snap, and the buttery New England-style roll was soft, fresh, and the perfect complement. It's obvious they put thought into every detail. Before leaving, I ordered a Doggie Dog hot dog to take home for my dog, and let's just say it disappeared in record time. He absolutely loved it! If you're looking for a unique hot dog experience with excellent service and a beautiful place to enjoy your meal, Fredgie's is definitely worth the stop. I'll be back!

I cannot recommend the cheeseburger. The cook asked me how I'd like it cooked, I said "well-done"…read moreand lo, it was not. The patty was so uneven that the larger bulges were near raw inside. The meat tasted watery and under-seasoned. The toppings and bread were quality, but I must deduct a star for the preparation. If the patty were uniform thickness, the rawness could've been avoided. Behind the food truck there were shaded tables and benches with back support. I ate my meal while looking out over the ocean. A veritable haven for white ibis, too, who enjoyed their own kiddie pool with fresh water. It was a welcome surprise to eat there and not take it to-go.

I was only looking for a snack and got a small order of fries, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of food I was provided for the price point. Judging by the food the other patrons got, everything looked to be just as good. I even got to try their new BBQ sauce which was very good and had a nice tangy flavor to it. The service I received was excellent and he took the time to answer all of my questions and to bring the food directly to me at the bar. If you're in the Fort Pierce/Port St. Lucie area and looking for somewhere to grab a bite I definitely suggest checking this food truck out! The schedule appears to be posted regularly on Facebook.

Steaks are always delicious! Small space. Basically good for pick-up not really an eat in…read more(comfortably) kind of place. At about 5-5:15 I tried to do an online order ( the usual way I order) last nite ( a decent order 6 steaks and a couple sides ) However, the website and the app were not operating properly so it took over an HOUR just to get the order in. I tried, in the meantime, to call the store directly to place the order after about 40 minutes of complete online frustration. A young guy answered the phone and I tell him my plight with online and that I wished to place a pickup order..................I was told.......... they have (WAIT FOR IT) NO WAY TO TAKE ORDERS OVER THE PHONE! Seriously???????????????????????????? Has this younger generation just given up..... I wanted to ask if this kid had ever heard of a pen and paper but, thought if he already said there's NO WAY to take an order over the phone, THE POINT WAS MUTE because clearly there was no work ethic or dare I say maybe a little ingenuity that would make this kid want to actually help and/or do his job...... So two questions..... 1) if you can't take orders over the phone ...WHY ARE YOU ANSWERING THE DAMN PHONE???????? 2) IF I HAD WALKED IN OFF THE STREET WOULD YOU HAVE A WAY TO TAKE MY ORDER??????? (make that part make sense)........ Love Charley's and being from Philly I do like their cheesesteaks. Unfortunately, this experience was nothing to rave about frankly i'm disappointed in this person's lack of willingness to help. As the young man who answered my call led me to believe.... If your business relys soley on online ordering only, You could be in trouble or maybe YOU COULD TEACH YOUR EMPLOYEES WHAT A PEN AND PAPER ARE AND HOW TO USE THEM.

**Frustrating Experience at Philly Down South Café**…read more I visited Philly Down South Café on Hutchinson Island twice today, and both times I was left waiting. The first visit, I stood for over 10 minutes without a greeting, so I left. I thought I'd give it another shot, but again, I was ignored for another 10 minutes while waitstaff walked by, making eye contact but failing to acknowledge me. No "We'll be with you shortly," nothing. This is unacceptable service. I wanted to try their cheesesteak, but after this experience, I won't be coming back. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.

Personally, I'd rather have had them topped with less sauce and delivering a bit more of a "tug", but these certainly weren't overcooked. Baked bean side was the perfect balance of sweet and smoky. On my last visit, I had a perfectly executed pulled pork sandwich. It's not too often that you get actual bark on a commercially delivered pulled pork, but this place delivered! All in all one of the better BBQs in this area. I'll certainly return and work my way through the menu. Prices are fair, as good BBQ ain't cheap (and cheap BBQ ain't good) !

We ordered pizza and wings. Personally, I still prefer wings from a good Chinese restaurant--they're usually crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and they never disappoint me. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience--it just didn't live up to the hype for me.
