I've got fond…read morememories of coming here has a child 25 years ago and as a homeowner now, they are still my first choice when I need small hardware items, or when I need good advice. For the size of the store, it is really remarkable how much variety they have crammed in, and the absolutely amazing staff don't hesitate to help you figure out a solution to any problem. I can't tell you the number of times I have walked in with a poorly explained question, or half of a broken piece of something, and they've immediately identified what I needed, showed me where to find it, and explained to me the best way to fix something. For your average 90's kid who is maybe not the best a home repairs, Quality Hardware is constantly the lifesaver I need them to be on small home repairs! For bonus points, you can't forget how wonderful the fresh popped popcorn is. It really lightens up a frustrating unplanned repair to get a bag of delicious, fresh popcorn for less than 50 cents!

When checking out my child was carrying a stuffed animal that was purchased from a small business store nearby. Oddly enough I guess Ace Hardware sells the same item and the associate asked if "I was going to purchase the item" my child was carrying. I informed her it was purchased at another store. I feel like once I said that the associate should have believed me, but insisted on seeing the receipt. She also mentioned " if she would have seen my child walk in with it she wouldn't need to see the receipt." Well no duh, so I said "call the cops and we can check all the cameras you guys have up." She then said "don't worry about it." I had to call my wife over and she provided a digital receipt from the small business purchase. I don't recall getting a thanks or apology from the associate. Could have been handed better by the associate. Would have been embarrassing if other customers were around but the only other person around was another associate. I've been going there many years and they have a good selection of many different items so I do recommend checking them out.

There were several dozen to choose from, and it was almost impossible to tell what would link together. I selected the coupling and hose I believed would work for me, and instead of making me buy it and go through a return process, they let me take it all out of the packaging and hook the heater (i had it in my car) to one of their store propane tanks to ensure it would all fit. It did, and then we conducted the transaction. This was just before a major winter storm. They were very patient with everyone who called, came in, and people like me learning on the fly, even though they were just inundated with calls and people. They do offer propane tank fill-ups here, and things like mulch, pine straw, hay, firewood, on a seasonal basis.

Every time I drive here for some odd thing they always seem to have it and at a reasonable price. Case in point, just today I needed a 5/8" bore 2" drive pulley. Lowe's didn't have them, Home Depot didn't have them, and neither did the hardware store in THOMASVILLE or Southside in High Point. Williams in Sophia had one, but I needed two. Amazon sent me one but it can with the wrong bore. Not only did Hillville have FOUR of them in stock but they were 1/4 of the price I paid on Amazon. I feel a little bad that they aren't higher on my list but living in the north end of High Point just doesn't put them top of mind. Neat place that reminds me of my father-in-law's old country hardware store back in Ohio.

I found the perfect cabinet hardware and they made the process so easy to take samples home to figure out what would work best. I wish I would've known about them earlier and I probably would have also used them for more of the project and my previous bathroom remodel. They did a great job helping me place my order and providing order updates. Everything was delivered on time and in perfect condition. They are a hidden gem in the High Point/Greensboro area! On May 22nd, 2018, I started my employment as a Western Regional Sales Manager for Nordfab LLC, a…read moresubsidiary of Nederman of America, in Thomasville, NC. This was after six months and nine interviews; as well as a series of personality and aptitude tests, drug tests and criminal background check. I quit my successful sales manager job with a staffing company located in Colorado to pursue this industrial sales position for the upward potential of performance based compensation. I was told that I would receive six weeks of training and I could not contact customers until I completed it. After three weeks on Friday June 8th, I was informed by my supervisor, the Director of Sales, that my "employment with Nordfab is not a good fit and [they'll] will be going in another direction". I was terminated with less than three weeks on the job, most of it was training. This news came shortly after it was announced Nordfab's sales in the Western Region dramatically dropped over 20% in the month of May. Because of not having a sales person covering this territory for nearly eight months, and the previous sales person now working for Nordfab's competitor taking customers away, Nordfab's sales suddenly plummeted in the Western Region. Again, I spoke with my supervisor the following week and explained to him the hardship this puts on me and my family since I quit my job to join Nordfab. He apologized and said this was a decision they've been contemplating since I first started interviewing with them back in December 2017. My supervisor told me that the executive management team was convinced I wasn't "aggressive enough" for this position, even though I expressed a desire to start meeting with clients before my six weeks of training was completed. My supervisor said that the two weeks that I spent training at Nordfab's location confirmed their feelings about me, even though he couldn't provide me a specific event or incident. Additionally, while I was at Nordfab training I received only complements and praise for some of my cost cutting/streamlining ideas for their supply chain. Unbeknownst to me the management staff was saying something completely different behind my back. I am convinced it is because of my seniority that they determined I was aggressive enough. My exact age wasn't discovered until I accepted their offer and completed their employment onboarding paperwork. I look younger than I am. Additionally, I feel that I was fraudulently recruited/employed since they never informed me about their concern of my lack aggressiveness during the nine times I interviewed with them. Without this information, I was misled and would have never accepted this position knowing their concerns. This deception cost me my livelihood and place undo stressed on my family. Nordfab dragged their feet paying my final expenses until five weeks after they dismissed me increasing the financial hardship on my household. Nordfab, as well as its parent company Nederman, lacks any modicum of business integrity. They say one thing but do another. Their management staff cannot be trusted in the very least. They say nice things to your face yet stab you in the back. I highly recommend to anyone that they do a thorough due diligence and research before engaging in any business activity with Nordfab, and its parent company Nederman.
