I have long ordered from Joe's and loved their pizzas, but something has been going on in the last month or two. They no longer use their own delivery and when I get on online it does not seem to be able to take in my address and when I call,l they are of no help. They will not even take my order for delivery or pick up from the restaurant. So weird! I guess they have all the business they need and I will go elsewhere. I am guessing they will not miss me. Yelp defines 2*s as "Meh. I've experienced better." And that describes my sentiments about Joe's Pizza. I've ordered pizza from here a few times because it's just around the corner, and I've always been disappointed. I've tried plain cheese, and different toppings, and nothing has ever made me excited to eat leftovers. The sauce is bland and just tastes like tomatoes, no herbs, and the cheese is too thin of a layer for it to redeem the pizza. It's $16 for a 1/2 cheese, 1/2 two-topping large pizza. Overall, Joe's has been a default for us by location only. From now on I'm going to start driving a bit further for pizza I can count on. read more

Mediocre seems to be the theme of the place. I walk in to a large dining room, but I noticed you go to the register and order. You then grab your drink and have a seat. It seems like it would be very easy for them to turn it in to full service. I was craving a calzone. I went in and noticed they had an ultimate calzone. I figured it would be full of toppings. Once it came to the table I cut off the corner. The taste of the dough is very important to me. The bread was dry and chewy, luckily they had marinara sauce to dip it in. As I started to cut the calzone I realized I was cutting the paper that it was on as well. I'm pretty sure I ate pieces of the paper while I was dining. This may be their secret to getting extra fiber in to you. The plate does not need the paper as it comes on an aluminum pizza plate. Once I got to the toppings, I was very disappointed. Their ricotta had a very good flavor, but the toppings was sparse. Each bite I may have one piece of toppings. I figured I would get a vegetable and meats with each bite. I had to dig around to make that happen. Their sausage had very little flavor so I would stay away from that. If I was in Ocoee I would return, but definitely not worth the trip. The crust is crispy, pizza is floppy but not too bad and overall awesome. The prices are not bad either, probably cheaper than a Pizza Hut or Papa John's and truthfully not on the same level taste-wise, just comparable only in price. This place is the real deal! I'm from NYC and this place has that NYC style pizza. They also have a number of different types of pizza and other classic Italian dishes. Everything I've had is fresh and is seasoned perfectly. It's a little bit of a wait but it's worth it. If you order ahead it's probably better than waiting. Place is clean inside and the bathrooms are clean as well. My kids only want Joes and they use to be big Marcos pizza fans. read more

This is a decent pizza joint that is nestled in a strip mall location. Decent amount of seating for a pizza place. No real decor inside so there is no ambiance to speak off. Staff is friendly and courteous. Prices are slightly high I felt ($14.99 for an 18 inch pie) but the pizza is decent. So I've been hesitant to try this place out, but I was with a friend of mine that happened to be a fan so we decided to order an X-tra Large Veggie Combo (tomatoes, onions, black olives, mushrooms and green peppers) along with a Caprese and Caesar salad. Turns out I should've listened to my gut, because this place was nowhere near impressive. I should let it be known that I'm not the type to spend over $20 on a single pizza since I can have a great pizza elsewhere for less than half that, but if you're going to charge that much, then at the very least you better create a great pizza. The pizza did fold very well which allows for ideal 'pizza to mouth' access, but that's as far as the accolades go. From the cheese to the veggies, the taste just wasn't great; there wasn't much flavor. The Caprese salad was actually pretty good, but I much rather have an amazing pizza and a subpar salad. Our cashier didn't really give us great service either, but we were only there for a few minutes so it really wasn't a big deal. So would I return? I definitely won't purchase a pizza here, but I love pizza so I'll accept a free slice if anyone is offering. read more

First of all, I would like to say, if you aren't sure about where to order your pizza.. this is the place. They make their dough fresh. All ingredients are fresh. The salads, strombolis.. lasagna.. even the soup! ..is outstanding. Joe never thinks twice about good quality when picking his favorites. He wants the best for his customers. I personally have met Joe and his taste in food/business is on point. I personally love their salads and strombolis. However, for a family pizza night this place is my #1 choice. You get more pizza for a better price than anywhere else in the West Orlando area. The "phone girls/cashiers" never get my order wrong and are always making sure I am taken cared of. The salads are always fresh and exactly how'd I make them.. but better. The feta and olives are so tasty. Antipasta and the Greek are my go-to. The garlic knots are made fresh and are by far the tastiest bread-like food I will eat. They put some kind of oil and then garlic with parmesan I believe and holy macaroni is it great! They come with marinera and 3 knots for 2$. So I always make air I have 2-3 orders because even though they are pretty large, they go fast in a family of 4! Delivery is about 45. Never once met a bad delivery driver. They do get busy because this is a local favorite so order now! :) I hope Joes stays family oriented, both inside and outside of the kitchen because whatever they are doing.. they are doing right! I had the pleasure of eating a pie there a couple of days ago with my husband. I must say, overall, the pie/pizza was very delicious! My daughter used to order quite frequently (she's currently abroad), and out of many of the pizza spots around, Joe's Pizza was definitely her favorite. I see why now. My husband and I are Senior, "Old School," transplanted Native New Yorkers. We definitely remember and know what REAL GOOD pizza USED TO taste like. It's SO hard to find nowadays. Almost impossible. Serious! But there are SOME pizza joints left here and there up North, Jersey too! Joe's Pizza was a refreshing reminder of what was almost lost. My husband, who is super picky lol, enjoyed his half of the pie (I had half green pepper and he, pepperoni). The pepperoni didn't make the pie. This restaurant gave us a hard time on our order. The lady at the counter is very rude and doesn't care about business. When we asked for the owner to contact us. He mentioned later in the conversation that the rude employee is his wife. No wonder he's losing customers because he doesn't see that his wife is degrading his business and has no customer service skills. She is bad for his business and he still backs her up no matter what. She probably rules his life and controls him that's why he can't admit that she was wrong. He doesn't care that he's losing a valuable customer. When you can't take responsibility for your wrongs as a business and try to put them on other people when the other person was supporting that business is ridiculous. I have eaten from Joe's about 30 plus times. I can be silent no longer. The trick to Joe's is to know when Robert is cooking. He can cook and the food is good. He's off Mon & Tues. The three different meals I use to get were pasta dishes, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Franches, and Lemon Chicken. Excellent from Robert. They stopped these three. All other food such as pizza or sandwiches are hit or miss. Mostly miss. By miss I mean horrible unless you have a really bad cold. The crust has that "fresh from a cardboard box" seasoning taste, the spaghetti meatball had decent meatballs, marginal spaghetti but the sauce was an absolute disaster. It was clearly either old as in days ago or bathing in a pan equally as long. I have had enough of Joe's. I wish it was otherwise as the people are great. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I placed an order and went to pick it up. No one was wearing a mask not even the kitchen staff which is fine if they don't want to follow the rules but when I asked to cancel my order the manager refused. He asked me if this was a joke and told me I should stay home and cook! I've never had someone at a restaurant be so RUDE especially a manager! I then looked them up to leave a review and found they've had several repeat violations from the health department. One of the repeat violations being they had the place where the kitchen staff was supposed to wash their hands blocked off. I have been coming here since c.2010. It is my go to pizza place. Orlando definitely is not known for pizza. But Joe's definitely does the trick. It is legit New York pizza. You can easily find better in NYC, but this is definitely as good as it gets in the Orlando area. In 25 years here I have only found a couple of other places that are anywhere even close. In all honesty, it seems to me that the quality has gone down a little bit since they expanded the operation and the original owners are not as closely involved as much. But they still make a tasty pizza pie! If they were cheaper I would order from there once a week. But I am on a budget so I have to spread it out some. Besides, if they were cheaper, they wouldn't be as good. The $5 lunch special for 2 pepperoni slices and a drink is a great deal, though. I definitely recommend Joe's to anyone in the Ocoee area looking for good New York pizza. read more
