In my Family's three cars over the years, they have diagnosed and repaired a myriad of problems and been very honest about what repairs are truly essential for safety and reliability and what repairs can be delayed. We have a 2016 Ford F150, an old 2005 Volkswagen Passat manual, and a 2009 Toyota Sienna. They keep us running great. They are often pretty backed up and so it takes a couple of weeks to get service but a couple of times when we had emergencies they took care of us right away. I try never to ask for rushed service but once or twice that I have needed it they have come through for me and him working extra hours to keep me on the road. I'm so disappointed in our experience with trying to get work done here. I called on Saturday at…read morearound 12pm, asking if my boyfriend could get his car towed to the shop that day for engine and cylinder misfires. Whoever answered the phone (I'm assuming Sang) said no, there was no one at the shop that day (even though the hours say that the shop is open until 4pm on Saturdays) and to bring the car on Monday so that someone would be there to accept the keys. Made sense, so we made towing arrangements for first thing Monday morning. Monday morning comes (today), we get the car towed to the shop, and we get a call from the tow guy, saying that the shop is not accepting the car. The shop owner (presumably) gets on the phone saying no one called about the car, and when my boyfriend informs him that yes, we did call on Saturday about the SUV with engine and cylinder misfires, the shop owner says "Oh, well your tags are expired and I have 4 other cars here so I can't take your car." So my boyfriend has to pay out of pocket to get the car towed back to our home, meanwhile I'm checking the MVA website because I know there is absolutely no way the tags are expired. Of course, I confirm that the tags are completely valid. Once the tow guy comes back with the car, he confirms that, visually, the tags don't even look expired, and he suspected that the shop owner just didn't want to work on the car. I understand having limited time and space as a small shop owner. I understand forgetting about a 3 minute call that happened 2 days ago. What is not okay to me is lying about the reason why you refuse service. I recognize that my boyfriend and I could have called this morning to confirm and remind the shop owner about our call on Saturday, but it was not our first instinct to doubt the word of the shop owner who had explicitly told us to bring the car in on Monday. I think it is fair to assume that whoever took our call on Saturday would have made a note about expecting our car on Monday morning. At the very, very, very least, we could have been told the truth and offered an apology, "I'm sorry about forgetting about your call, but I do not have the time or space to take your car at the moment." I hate to be the first person to leave a negative review for a small business, but the situation that occurred this morning was extremely frustrating and stressful. Why lie about the tags being expired? Why even offer to have us bring the car in on Monday if you were already working on 4 other cars? I wish we could have been told the truth from the beginning so that we didn't have to go through this stress and financial loss (from the towing) for nothing. A huge part of the disappointment I feel is that I'm sure Sang would have done great work and charged reasonably based off of previous reviews, but we'll never know for sure now because of this off-putting experience.

I was in the market of buying an aftermarket exhaust for my Lamborghini Gallardo. The owner of this…read moreshop Dustin B. responded to my post in a FB group and offered a used system. He stated that he would practically be giving it away and would very likely be the lowest price for that exhaust. But he then quoted me a price of $2,900 for an exhaust that retails for the (now Covid inflated) price of $4,100. I was surprised to see this kind of pricing for a used system, especially when the same exhaust was offered to me by another legit seller for only $800. After showing him the seller and his offer he then came down with the price to $1,390.50 shipped because he stated it has been sitting in his garage for a while so he would be willing to go down on price. However, if I wanted to pay via a secured method like a credit card I would have to add 3% to the price. Apparently this guy doesn't know it's illegal to charge customers credit card processing fees. Anyways, I asked for an invoice but let him know I am reviewing other offers as well. A day later while I was running errands on a busy Saturday, he messaged me on FB saying that he had packed up the exhaust and it is ready to ship if I made the payment right then and there. I read the messages but I was driving so I didn't reply right there and then, especially if I had explained I was looking at other offers as well. I understand he wants to make a sale and be a little pushy however, what came next was just weird. He followed up a little bit later the same day with an angry message saying that I should have the 'decency" to at least let him know if I wanted to buy the exhaust since it shows that I've read his message. He basically accused me of giving him the runaround. I told him I was running errands and he needs to relax. That didn't help either, as he got even more angry and that he should expect to receive a prompt answer despite having been told that I am reviewing all offers received. At this point all I could is respond with a laugh emoji since I have never seen a business owner act like this. But wait, the laugh emoji pushed him even further. After seeing that he stated he would post his exhaust up for sale publicly, indicating he had reserved it for me even though it has been collecting dust in his garage since forever and I just met him virtually 2 days prior. He would also tell everyone on the FB group to not waste their time with me. Well Dustin, I have to let the millions of people who use Google and other online review sites know how aggressive you act towards people and hope nobody will ever make the mistake of wanting to buy anything from you unless you have undergone some sort of anger management classses or let a trained sales rep handle your sales.
