My glasses were giving me blurry vision and a headache. When I took them back not even a day later, the other place said "sorry no refunds" and we're unwilling to help. I took my original glasses that were broken (or so I thought) to Vision Gallery after seeing the great reviews online. We were greeted by James who has to be one of the friendliest people I have ever met. My eye exam was quick and efficient and I felt that the doctor here was much more qualified than the previous optometrist I saw in Brooklyn. She answered all my questions and I had confidence that she accurately diagnosed my prescription. I could finally see much more clearly. I thought I might need to get new frames but James was quick to tell me that he could fix them. I love my original glasses and have had them since college! All I needed to do was purchase new lenses and I was set. He also gave me a discount since I don't have vision insurance. The lenses that he recommended to me were more expensive than the other place I went to, but he explained the specifics of which lenses I should get based on my prescription and astigmatism. I feel confident that these lenses will last a long time. Coming to an establishment where the doctor is qualified and the rest of the staff are both knowledgeable and friendly is so rare nowadays. Am happy to say that I found a great ophthalmologist to check my eye health. Dr. Ragusa was professional, efficient and friendly. Everyone on his office team was. I wish I had written down names. There is a young man in the reception area that went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed. When I walked in, I'd asked him for a note for work, and when I walked out, he had everything ready for me. The tech who took the pictures of my eye was funny and made the process quick and painless. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, but it did not feel rushed. Dr. Ragusa reviewed the results of my eye exam and immediately gave me feedback. For example, one thing I should do is use eye drops more frequently as my eyes are dry. I would wholeheartedly recommend this ophthalmologist. The whole staff made my visit an enjoyable experience. I also bought my first set of contacts from them when I was 14. They sat with me patiently for an hour while I struggled to get them in, let me go take a lunch break and then come back and resume trying until I got used to taking them out and putting them on. Great guys, great store. The frames they carry are designer but the glasses I buy here last much longer and are much more comfortable than the pair of Warby Parker glasses I own. For contrast: I bought a pair of Warby Parker last year and got the lightest lenses I could for the pair (I have a strong prescription), scratch-proofed it, purchased every add on I could. Theyre still much heavier than the pair I bought from Visions and while the Visions pair has held up, the Warby Parker pair is scratched and the weight hurts my ears over the course of the day. I say all this to say, you get what you pay for. Invest in a great pair of glasses and go to Visions.
