When I went to the eye doctor a few months ago, I was told that I might have a torn retina...YIKES…read more My doctor said that it appeared to me small but wanted me to go to Dr. Aizman to see if I needed surgery. I was really hoping that I didn't need surgery. Anyway, I made my appointment and when I got there, I checked in with the staff. They were very pleasant and very professional. I had my eyes dilated and waited for it to take effect. Once I met with Dr. Aizman, he asked me if I saw floaties, which I answered, "no." He then took a look and actually said that it wasn't torn and I don't need surgery. Thank goodness. He did suggest that I make an appointment to follow up in six months (which I did). Even though my encounter was short, I definitely felt comfortable and at ease.

I would never recommend Dr. Alexander Aizman to anyone. The staff at his office is unprofessional,…read morerude, and lazy. I never got to even see the doctor, I waited 2 weeks for an appointment, after working with his office for weeks sending medical release forms and calling they waited until the day before my appointment (after I took the day off of work) to tell me it was never done and to do it myself (why didn't they tell me this on my first phone call) I canceled my appointment because she was so rude and nasty I didn't want to even deal with these people. I am so glad I found this out before I started seeing Dr. Alexander Aizman. I found another retina specialist that I am very happy with. I suggest you do the same don't waste your time as I did.

Patient doctor, horrible front desk!…read more Dr. Gorenburg was professional, patient, and took the time to answer my questions. I appreciated the care he provided. Unfortunately, the front desk experience left a very different impression. The receptionist was consistently curt, dismissive, and unpleasant. Simple questions were met with attitude rather than professionalism, and even after Dr. Gorenburg directed us to ask the front desk a question, the response remained rude and unhelpful. A physician's excellent care should not be overshadowed by poor customer service. The front desk is the face of the practice, and experiences like this can cost a practice patients and referrals. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that additional customer service training is provided so the front office reflects the same professionalism as the physician. was professional, patient, and took the time to answer our questions. My visit was at the beginning of March, 2022. I was told I had a Medicare deductible balance of just under $100 and that needed to be paid before the doctor would see me. I paid the amount requested and I have documented evidence that this satisfied my Medicare deductible. When I received additional bills towards my deductible, Medicare informed me that nothing had been submitted by this practice and I was advised to request my money back. I did so but was refused! Subsequently, Dr. Seidman submitted a fraudulent claim to Medicare, never mentioning that I had paid the balance of my deductible, or that I had paid any monies at all, for that matter! I am still waiting for a check reimbursing me the $98.34 I paid at this office. Medicare is aware of the deception. Dr. Seidman has lost me as a patient. This is all just not worth my time and aggravation. She has yet to inform her biller to make this right. Is it possible that perhaps she is unaware of this whole mess?

I don't think there are enough favorable superlatives in the English language to describe just how amazing he is. Competent, knowledgeable, meticulous, and caring are just the tip of the iceberg. He has a unique ability to communicate so that his explanations and instructions are comprehensive and easy to follow. He addressed all of my concerns with much-needed reassurance. And ... he literally restored my vision. I feel lucky indeed that Dr. Polla is my ophthalmologist, and I also want to give a huge shout-out to his staff: the assistants too are excellent and caring, as are the efficient and hardworking people at the front desk. Dr. Sherman said he could easily remove it surgically, but that if I apply warm compresses daily, it would eventually resolve itself, though it would take a long time. Well, he was right! He diagnosed the cause as "blepharitis" (which I refer to as "dandruff of the eyelashes", since the "sandman" is very "generous" with me). Dr. Sherman advised that I gently scrub my eyelids with diluted Baby Shampoo ("no tears") to keep the pores unclogged. He could have so easily done surgery, but instead he told me something that has helped me to this day. I never developed another stye or chalazion after that! Much appreciation to him!
