The doctor presents as caring, speaks very little, sends in the prescriptions and leaves the receptionist to tell you medication procedures and dosages. A mixed bag type of experience.

I was really hoping that I didn't need surgery. Anyway, I made my appointment and when I got there, I checked in with the staff. They were very pleasant and very professional. I had my eyes dilated and waited for it to take effect. Once I met with Dr. Aizman, he asked me if I saw floaties, which I answered, "no." He then took a look and actually said that it wasn't torn and I don't need surgery. Thank goodness. He did suggest that I make an appointment to follow up in six months (which I did). Even though my encounter was short, I definitely felt comfortable and at ease.

Unfortunately, the front desk experience left a very different impression. The receptionist was consistently curt, dismissive, and unpleasant. Simple questions were met with attitude rather than professionalism, and even after Dr. Gorenburg directed us to ask the front desk a question, the response remained rude and unhelpful. A physician's excellent care should not be overshadowed by poor customer service. The front desk is the face of the practice, and experiences like this can cost a practice patients and referrals. My visit was at the beginning of March, 2022. I was told I had a Medicare deductible balance of just under $100 and that needed to be paid before the doctor would see me. I paid the amount requested and I have documented evidence that this satisfied my Medicare deductible. When I received additional bills towards my deductible, Medicare informed me that nothing had been submitted by this practice and I was advised to request my money back. I did so but was refused! Subsequently, Dr. Seidman submitted a fraudulent claim to Medicare, never mentioning that I had paid the balance of my deductible, or that I had paid any monies at all, for that matter! I am still waiting for a check reimbursing me the $98.34 I paid at this office. Medicare is aware of the deception. Dr. Seidman has lost me as a patient. This is all just not worth my time and aggravation. She has yet to inform her biller to make this right. Is it possible that perhaps she is unaware of this whole mess?

Dr. Sherman said he could easily remove it surgically, but that if I apply warm compresses daily, it would eventually resolve itself, though it would take a long time. Well, he was right! He diagnosed the cause as "blepharitis" (which I refer to as "dandruff of the eyelashes", since the "sandman" is very "generous" with me). Dr. Sherman advised that I gently scrub my eyelids with diluted Baby Shampoo ("no tears") to keep the pores unclogged. He could have so easily done surgery, but instead he told me something that has helped me to this day. I never developed another stye or chalazion after that! Much appreciation to him!
