I explained I was very nervous and was told not to worry that I would be given something on that day to keep.me calm. The first surgery for the right eye lens removal by laser was June 17th, 2025. After I had the anestholigist put in the intravenous she went to.lunch leaving me on my own scared ro death. With Dr Kung telling me to.man up in other words and to cal. Down or get off the table. Somehow I got thru it and the lens was removed. 2 weeks later on July 1st almost the same scenario and only after my prtests did Dr Kung give him something to calm him down. Then I was ok and lens put in all done. Within a month I could see better and eventually drive without glasses. Here's what's bothering me, in the past 6 months I have e been back to the office many times for followips by DrCampbell a phenomenal Dr with a great bedside manner. However in that 6 months I have never seen not even once Dr Kung asking me how I was doing or feeling. That's just not right even a phone call to check on my progress would have sufficed. I met with Dr. Yu in February, and from the very first appointment, I knew I was in good hands. He thoroughly explained what was happening with my eyes and walked me through the next steps with patience and professionalism. Although I was nervous about having eye surgery, the outcome has been incredible. After wearing distance glasses for over 15 years, I no longer need them! Dr. Yu truly gave me my vision and quality of life back. I would also like to commend the entire staff. Everyone is professional, accommodating, and efficient. Unlike many other medical offices, appointments are handled promptly and you are not left waiting for hours. I highly recommend Dr. Yu and his team to anyone in need of eye care.

Title: Terrible Experience - Please Be Careful…read more I had my cataract surgery done here, and it turned into a nightmare. I went in with very high eye pressure, but they still went ahead with my left-eye surgery as scheduled. During surgery, my capsule broke. The surgery center didn't even have the proper lens for the sulcus, so I was left without a lens in my eye for two weeks. Later, they performed another surgery to implant the lens. Unfortunately, due to the trauma from the first failed surgery, my cornea became swollen, followed by consistent inflammation. Six months later, Dr. Kung told me that there were leftover fragments from my natural lens causing infection -- and that I needed a third surgery to remove them. All of this led to corneal edema, loss of vision, ongoing inflammation, and constant pain. After consulting two cornea specialists, both confirmed that the bad cataract surgery caused all of these problems. Now, the only solution left for me is a cornea transplant. I am terrified and deeply regret trusting this place. RUN -- do not risk your eyes or go through the misery I'm experiencing. On top of everything, they ran many tests on their machines and charged me a lot of money throughout this ordeal.

But it turned out to be some other doctor named Jyostna Jain who checked my eyes. Becky at the reception desk scheduled my tests as soon as I walked in they got the tests done for glasses and lenses. 1. I got to know later that my vision insurance was not covered at that place and they didn't even feel an obligation to let me know before proceeding with the tests. 2. A few weeks into using the prescribed lenses I noticed that something was off and got my eyes checked again and was told the right eyes power was tested incorrectly and there's a lot of difference from previous prescription. So over all I ended up paying $200+ for eye tests and prescription that was not even correct.

Dr. Lambertson is friendly, and does a pretty much perfect job of making sure you get the right prescription every year. Once you're done with your appointment, Costco sells frames literally right outside the office door so you can literally step outside, hand them your prescription, and then have your frames ordered. It usually takes a couple weeks, but then you can just go and pick them up at costco. The reception staff is incredibly friendly as well, and I will continue to be coming to this office every year.

I was very dissatisfied from my previous eyewear chain store, which will remain anonymous, because they sold me their "top of the line" progressive lenses but the peripheral was awful. They insisted that there is always some distortion. This "distortion" made driving difficult because I couldn't see cars on the side of me. So in I walk into Optical Arts and I am greeted by the loveliest ladies who were very friendly and helpful. I told them my concern and the gentleman who I presume was the optometrist or the owner interjected and explained to me the issue with the lenses. He took my glasses into the back to examine, came back out and said "yes, these are blank lenses and I bet you got them at blank store. These are their top of the line but the manufacturer's bottom of the line." Needless to say, I was completely surprised. He explained to me the difference between lenses and a lot of information I can't understand but I knew he knew what he was talking about. I requested their very top of line lenses because, at this point, I couldn't compromise my vision any further. He suggested I go a notch down since I really didn't need the most expensive, the one just below will be fine. I picked out a pair of Cartier frames and he measured my eyes to the lenses with both manual and computerized equipment to ensure that the lenses were perfect. And they were!! I have excellent peripheral vision and the measurements couldn't be any more precise. He made adjustments on the frame to ensure that the glasses sit correctly on my face. The attention to every detail was amazing. After wearing the glasses a couple of days, I realized that they were a bit tight behind the ears. I went back and he knew exactly where the discomfort was and adjusted them perfectly. Again, the attention given to my needs were Class A. I will certainly be going back to them in the future for all my eye needs.

Firstly, I want to thank the staff whom are very professional and nice. The ladies that work there are very accommodating. I was given an appointment the next day for which I was very grateful. Dr. Polishchuk dilated my eyes And I've had them dilated before but he seems sort of rough in his manner, not gentle. His diagnosis was partially on point. I should really thank him because of my experience with him which was not all that great and hence I decided to go back to my original surgeon for a second opinion at Columbia Doctors. He did not even question me about driving after my eyes were dilated or wearing sunglasses, like not concerned. Sometimes it's the little things. But in a way it all worked out because I did have at least a provisional ICD 10 diagnosis to be seen more timely by my original surgeon who performed successful (cataract surgery in 2017) on both my eyes respectively. The point is, she actually assessed through more testing that the diagnosis was applicable to both eyes not just the one eye even though it was worse in the right eye. Danielle Trief, MD Assistant Professor at Columbia University Medical Center did much more extensive testing by far. This was a week after I saw Dr. P on Clawson Avenue. At the same appointment she performed a laser procedure which cleared up my entire vision in the right eye which was worse than the left which was the "good eye" now the "bad eye". The procedure was painless and within a few hours I could miraculously see perfect in that right eye. In layman's terms the lens implant needed to be "polished" as this can commonly occur over time. I am going to have the left eye done in two weeks. My point is that unless it's an emergency which was fortunately not the case here, me personally, I would get a second opinion. Was it a major pain in the ass to go into Manhattan? Absolute torture yes, but hey you only have one pair of eyes.
