It included color sealing a tiled kitchen counter with extremely stained grout that could not be cleaned. Also color sealing three floors and two tiled bay windows. Everything is completely transformed. It's early days, but even the countertop has been easy to maintain despite the insults of a busy kitchen. We had one glitch. The technician applied samples of several colors to each part of the job. The one I picked for one of the floors looked very unattractive to me once it was applied to the entire floor. It wasn't Sir Grout's fault, but Chris worked with me to find a very fair solution. By the time the technician left the floor looked great. I also showed Chris a fully tiled bathroom. Aside from the floor, which we did color seal, Chris recommended skipping that room since it is in such good shape and showers can get expensive. It is refreshing to find a company that does not oversell. I think that Chris takes a very long term view of his company and values loyal customers over short term revenue. One wall was not flat or straight at the floor. The corner was not square. The alignment of tiles and the grout joints were not even. They cut tile on my front porch and left the area a mess which I had to clean up. Fortunately I tented off the bathroom area and protected my floors. Dust from grinding tile and jams would have filled the house. These are all basic issues for a tile installation. I requested the owner to take a look at the job and he never bothered.

They installed a gray threshold that didn't match with the cream bathroom when I called and reached out to Armen the owner he told me I had provide the threshold once I did they told me it couldn't be done. I spent 2 years emailing with no response and no luck. Within a year and a half the luster of the wood floors was gone and it looked like I needed to refinish them. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I am a perfectionist myself and hard to impress, but Bob was amazing. We found Bob simply from taking his business card at a tile store in Norwood (Buddy's Discount Tile). The first time I called him on a Sunday morning, he answered right away and scheduled to come by the next night. He showed up right on time, gave a thorough explanation of what we could/couldn't do on our floor, and provided a written estimate on the spot. The price was reasonable and Bob said we could save some money if we pulled up most of the floor and handled uninstallation/re-installation of our appliances (stove & dishwasher). I was happy to do the labor there and it saved us several hundred dollars. Bob scheduled to come and start the work at the end of the week on Friday, and said it would be a 2-day job. My wife and I ripped up the old pine floor over the next few days with some tools Bob was kind enough to lend us! (Professional crow bar really makes a difference!) Bob said he'd arrive at 9 AM Friday morning to start, and boy did he literally arrive on time, like 9:00 on the absolute dot. He got right to work finishing up the floor removal we couldn't do, then prepping the floor to install a subfloor. He arrived right on time Saturday morning--actually a little too early as he was blocking my wife's car in the driveway!--and finished up the work by early afternoon. He is extremely detail oriented and was very particular about ensuring the tiles were laid down perfectly. He also suggested we tile the bottom of our cabinets (i.e. over the existing white pine) which we weren't too sure about, but it looked awseome when done... like they're just floating above the floor. In addition, we needed a couple of stairs to our basement replaced--they were seriously cracked--so he offered to fix them. His assistant picked up some new pine (I paid them back, of course) and he installed them in a jiffy. Plus our basement door was not closing properly and he offered to fix that as well. He did both these fixes unrelated to the floor project free of charge. The floor came out great and looks amazing. All in all it was an absolute pleasure to work with Bob; I would absolutely recommend him; and absolutely hire him again in the future. Bob is much more than a "tile guy" -- he is a very experienced and skilled general contractor and all around great guy.
