    Open food court feel

Met a friend at JD for coffee and a donut. Here are some thoughts: --It is located inside a Shell gas station, but once you walk inside, it feels like a food court. --JD's has donuts, but also a cook and quite a menu! --I ordered the plain old fashioned donut and it was good. Also got a vanilla latte. --Service is good, and prices are reasonable. Recommended!

I was so pleasantly surprised when trying Joe Donut. There is a wide variety of donuts and boy did they start to sell out before our eyes. So be sure to come early enough to get what you want. We ended up getting 8 donuts and all of them were deliciously. We also ordered two lattes - the turtle and the honey Joe. Both were tasty but they honey Joe was by far the best. My husband also got a biscuit sandwich which was also yummy. The staff was friendly and extremely patient as we took some time picking our donuts. I highly recommend this hidden gem. Although inside a gas station - don't let that sway you - it is wonderful spot and look forward to my next visit.

I was in the mood for a breakfast burrito, so I typed it into my Yelp search, and this place came up, which I had never seen before. Based on the good reviews, I went there. As people have stated, Joe Donut is inside of a newer, good looking Shell station. I ate my breakfast burrito at the tables inside (they bring it out to you), and I ate while I watched the NFL game on the big screen television. The burrito was delicious and fresh tasting, and it came with a large amount of tater tots. It is a huge sandwich, which could easily be shared. I was impressed by the good food and friendly vibe I got here, so I tried them again, for lunch this time, a couple of days later. I called in a to-go order for a double cheeseburger Royale and some fries. The food was ready upon arrival and very tasty, reminiscent of a good diner style burger. I highly recommend Joe Donut. Good food at a fair price, with large portions.

We had a wonderful breakfast at Joe Donut. We sat outside to enjoy the food at the tables. Service was fast and pleasant- chef even said hi to the kids. Donuts are delicious and fancy. For breakfast, we loved their omelette and fresh squeezed orange juice- their tater tot home fries are yummy.

This is half of my breakfast. Really good spot.

I haven't been to a location in almost 10 years so suffice to say I was very excited to come back! I got my usual signature berry bliss waffle and it was delightful. However it was outshined by the strawberry colada smoothie that was DEMOLISHED. My husband killed the cookie dough waffle, he got an espresso, and I ordered a side of bacon and another smoothie to go it was THAT GOOD!! I'm pretty sure we were greeted by the manager and assistant manager. Great service, great and BUSY location (I suspect they all are like this. They're just wonderful!) My husband said I didn't overhype it (even though I was drooling while I was describing this place to him lol) that it was a good call and he would go again. :) We'll see you next time! Thank you for the best trip down memory lane.

The best seats in the house are at the counter, where you can banter with the staff and watch the action on the grill. The owner and his staff are super-friendly and accommodating. On this visit, we were with a large group seated in the smaller dining room next to the gaming room. The restaurant was full and the kitchen got backed up; a few in our group did not receive their food until after others had finished their meals. You get a ton of food; most lunches include a bowl of soup, fries and slaw. On a previous visit, I ordered a chicken Philly sandwich that was messy to eat but okay. This time, I began with beef barley soup that tasted like it came out of a red and white can, but the LA wrap was a winner and the accompanying fries were perfect. My Missus gave the Meatloaf Special 5 stars.

He suggested Teddy's here and I'm glad he did. The Gyros was recommended, and it was a good tip! Maybe the best I've had outside of Greektown here in Chicago. They touted their home-made soups, and the BeefBarley proved they weren't lying. Great Coffee as well. It's a homey atmosphere, most friendly. Tisha was a great server and the owner, Anna was very gracious. Alas, it's quite a cruise from Stately Breakwind Manor, so I don't know how much of a regular I'll become at Teddy's but it sure ain't because of the cooking which was grand! The onliest bugaboo-the parking lot is kind of small, and the place was packed. Had to circle for awhile and wait for someone to leave. Worth the wait, though!

The space is pretty small, so it can feel cramped inside, and prices are definitely on the higher side. Prices are on the higher side, but the chicken wrap with sweet potato fries was definitely worth it -- fresh, flavorful, and still good later that night. My daughter also loved the peanut butter latte. The steak protein bowl was just okay but not for the price (the sriracha garlic mayo was overpowering, so I'd recommend getting it on the side). We also tried the omelette, Philly steak sandwich, and potato pancake platter -- good, but nothing too special.

Upon arriving we were told what our additional wait would be and it was within the parameters of what was communicated when we initially joined the waitlist. We were waited on promptly and put in our orders. I am a country fried steak fan and ordered that with hash browns and eggs over easy. There were ample hash browns cooked very nicely and the country fried steak was tender and well seasoned. It had a bit of a black pepper flavor. I also paid a bit extra for specialty pancakes because I am a huge fan of the red velvet pancakes. They are sweet and decadent but I can never pass up the opportunity. My daughter ordered the Açaí bowl which was a large portion and had ample ingredients with fruit and granola. It was nicely frozen and fresh. It was more than enough to fill her. They offer a nice selection of beverages and I took advantage of the Bloody Mary that was flavorful and tasty.
