Absolutely delicious. The place was packed and we had about a 10-15 min wait but it was so worth it. I even got a side order of the biscuits and gravy to go. Highly recommend. Service was great as well. We felt very welcomed. read more

Great food, fantastic service and super low prices! After rafting the green river for 3 days straight this was exactly what we needed. The turkey avocado croissant sandwich was AMAZING! Definitely a good stop on the way back to salt lake! read more

It's got more items on the menu then a Cheesecake Factory. Love a small town restaurant, and this one was great. I enjoyed a great breakfast for dinner, and my son loved his grill cheese. Then we got a homemade cinnamon roll like grandma ma makes. Most the patrons were using oxygen so let me breath and go enjoy a smoke free environment. read more

Let's start with the big one food! The prices were quite reasonable breakfasts ranged from $7-$15. I had the breakfast sandwich with Ham on sourdough while my partner had the chicken fried chicken. We also added on a delightful hot chocolate. Our food was quite nice! Well seasoned well cooked and well portioned. Our waitress was kind and helpful. The ambience is a bit outdated with cafeteria style plastic chairs and an odd choice of acoustical tiled ceilings. While parts of the restaurant certainly need updating the surfaces were clean and not sticky the service was jovial and the food was delicious. read more

The food was super good! The waitress and hostess were extremely nice and efficient. Good home town feeling diner!!

What an amazing small town dinner. Great service, Jude portions, and best of all great taste!!! You can't go wrong at Jody's Dinner!!!

This corner of Evanston doesn't have too much besides the RV park and Jody's. We had to wait for a table for breakfast but the service and delivery of food was prompt. I had a short stack of pancakes and DH had the full breakfast with biscuits and gravy. We each had enough for another day. They were sanitizing tables and chairs between customers and there were panels between the tables along the walls. Good food, good price, good service. read more

Welcome to Jody's Diner the appeal from the outside sure hides a secret on the inside. We seat our selves and our server quickly appears Dusty has the privilege of serving me today. There is an eclectic mix of old fashioned diner tables neatly organized about the room there is the local children's artwork on the wall, it's very welcoming with a very homey feel to it. She orders the Jody's breakfast with 2 eggs over medium, hash browns and patty sausage and sour dough toast with coffee and milk. I have the Huevos Rancheros eggs scrambled medium and sausage patties on the side. The table top has a great selection of Hot Sauce with most of the Cholula line well represented there is an assortment of jelly and jam, coffee creamers and various sweetness as well. It's 8:30 am and the place is filling with the locals the atmosphere is very pleasant almost jubilant I see the couple from our last nights visit to another eatery who waited a long time to be seated for a disappointing meal. They appear pleased with their decision to come here this morning just like myself. Our breakfast menu s complete the portions are good and the sausage patties are much larger than I expected very pleased I did request some more of the salsa used in my dish and was really impressed to find the use of the green chili pepper instead of the traditional jalapeño. I am in my happy spot I am full but will not leave the last two bites on my plate it's not often a meal is so well prepared. It was a nice surprise to find the owner Ms Jody presented and actually preparing my meal, it's nice to see the owners taking a part in the day to day operations of their business. Dusty has been a great server and a real joy to talk with. In closing, thus has been an awesome experience and while I am now disappointed that I walked past it last night I am very pleased to not make the same mistake twice. The owners and management of the Tumbling Tumbleweed should certainly spend some time over here and learn how a well managed business is operated. I've had a great experience here. As alway y'all give them a try and rate them for yourselves. read more

This is a place I always stop when I come into town four times a year. Portions large, service is always very friendly. Homemade soup to die for. It's the down home old time diner. Only thing that I would make different is add a little more seasoning to your food. They cater to the older locals. read more

Food was delicious and the service was terrific. Will definitely order breakfast next time because every plate that I saw looked amazing. Yummy!! read more

Food was good and service was fine. It was very busy at lunchtime. We just happened to stop there driving through on our way home from our trip. read more

That was 75 minutes of our day we'll never get back and a completely unremarkable lunch experience. The upside was the battered fries were OK, the fish plates and onion rings were not. My wife and I both ordered the fish plate, which was four deep-fried from frozen haddock pieces with a side. I grew up eating haddock every Friday and never during those years did I ever have a fish so overcooked as were the onion ring. Don't succumb to the Yelp or Travelocity reviews that lure you in to a believing that this establishment serves anything close to home cooked fare. I will admit that I have a soft spot in my heart for the wait staff at restaurants and don't fault them for the quality of the food they serve, so our waitress received a 25% cash tip and was the reason for the one star review, it bumped it from zero. Our wait to be seated and served was about an hour. read more

Food was amazing! Small dinner but I love it. Service was super good I can't remember the lady's name but she was super sweet n made us feel like at home! Definitely would go back. read more

The sweetest bunch of people there. Ten minutes before closing and we were on an RV trip and have been driving a long time. asked if we were too late and they welcomed us in. We were a group of Seven and they took order and had appetizers. They were great mozzarella sticks and Mac n cheeses balls. We were there about 45 minutes. The food was delicious and would go back if in town. We left the waitress a huge tip to thank her for allowing us in when they were closing. read more

The food was great! The Scones are delicious!! I would recommend for sure. Don't let the state of the place deter you from eating here!

Just passing through. Waitress took my order and 35 minutes passed, no one checked on me until I asked someone for help. After ten more minutes, she brought the (incomplete) order and said nothing. People who came in when I did were finishing. She never checked on me again, and when I went to pay no one asked how it went or anything. I guess if you aren't a local then stop by McDonalds instead. Food was fine, BTW. read more

Stopped in with my wife and teenage daughter on a road trip. Restaurants, even fast food ones, were few and far between as we travelled from Yellowstone NP to Provo, Ut. Jody's was an oasis of tasty food! Between the three of us, we had a pastrami sandwich, steak salad, and a grilled cheese. The star of the show was definitely the onion rings. It was quite busy, and there was a little bit of a wait, but the staff worked their butts off to make things go smoothly as possible. One kind worker was even trying to help out by getting patrons names on a waitlist, even though they had already clocked out from their shift. read more

Good food good service. Great place to stop when you're on the road. It's comfortable and the food is very good.

Decent food in this local diner. Food and service was great. Not many choices in Evanston but this hit the spot for lunch.

This place was recommended to us by the hotel desk clerk. She said that the only downside was "it was clear on the other side of town". If you know Evanston you know that's not a big deal. We tried it! Most bigger, fancier restaurants could take lessons from this modest family dining spot. Not fancy, but cool. Fun mural on a big wall. Servers were pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and moderately priced. In fact, at the price it's a great value! And, this place is clean!! Don't have anything negative to report. If you're In Evanston at meal time I suggest you try Jody's. You won't be disappointed. read more

I've had there food before and it's good but the cleanliness was not very good also the waitress sat us down and then took out some food sat another table and completely skipped us we got up and got out not only cause of that but the flies in there were really bad we kinda got disgusted read more

Amazing!! We came in with a party of 7 during there dinner rush. They told us it would likely be a long wait. Within 15 minutes we had our food! read more

A 5 because there is no other place as good as this in Evanston, Wyoming. The place is super busy, but there's a reason! It's damn good! It's diner food that is made to order and they do a great job for as many people they get. Holy cow! We had a great breakfast - Eggs cooked to order were just as we asked for, and the pork chops, sausage, and everything else was just right. One thing I noticed is that the temperature of the food was perfect! I was half expecting it to come to us cold because it was SO BUSY, but voila! They were on top of it! I'm pretty picky about food temperature - Things that are supposed to be hot should be hot, and vice versa. We will be going back there again when we're in Evanston! Great job Jody! read more

Ok. Had their Philly. Good gawd it was huge. Giant steak chunks. Fries were beer battered whoa. So good. Wife had a salad. Only so so. Service was takeout. Decent. Busy place. Plan accordingly A new favorite for me. read more

Returned to Jody's after a long siege of COVID and were not disappointed at all. I had the Fried Shrimp dinner and got enough for two meals. 10 good sized shrimp, a fresh salad, and plenty of fries. Saw the desserts on special and was wishing I had saved room for dessert. We were pleased with the prices considering the price increases of other establishments. Service was friendly, quick, and accurate. We will return for sure, maybe just for dessert! read more

Legit breakfast spot along the I-80 corridor and worth stopping for. They have lunch and dinner items, too, but when you find a great breakfast, why stray? Biscuits for the B&G are homemade and weigh about 15 pounds a piece. You'll need a food coma nap shortly after eating them. The sausage gravy is an "A" as well, I only needed to add a little pepper to make it freaking awesome. I had the Jody's Breakfast which is the staple of eggs, taters, meat, and toast. But they were all done perfectly. Eggs were exactly as ordered, potatoes (hashbrowns) were great and cooked amazingly and when I opted for the sausage patties, sheer nirvana ensued. The sausage patties alone are worth the hour drive from the Ogden area. Cutsie atmosphere, great service, awesome prices, and fantastic breakfast. read more

A small diner with great prices, great food and big portions. Service is very friendly and quick. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs with a side of biscuits and gravy. Very tasty. Rest of the family had Philly cheesesteak, hot turkey sandwich and blueberry pancakes (with blueberry syrup). Portions were very generous (and I'm a big eater). The total for the family of 4 was $35! Tremendous value for the money. read more

Even though we arrived at the height of the Sunday lunch rush, we had only a short wait for a table. This is clearly a locals' favorite. Friendly and attentive service. I ordered the "Greek" spinach salad with grilled chicken added - great salad! Although it initially looked quite small, it was just chock full of fresh blueberries, craisins, mandarin oranges and walnuts and topped with a nice-sized chicken breast. Greek vinaigrette dressing was excellent. Parking for our RV trailer was easy in the huge empty lot next door. read more

Hit this place on the way home to Utah from Afton,Wy. Such great food. The diner is in like an old gas station or something, but has great service with nice wait staff and a nice local down home feel. I heard all of the workers calling patrons by their first names and they were very attentive to all our needs. I had the roast beef melt, it would have been a tad better with an aujus to dip it in, but still was very tasty. My hubs got chicken fried chicken, and he said you could tell it was homemade and fresh. The kids both had grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with cottage cheese. Everyone left with our belly's full and a smile on our faces. The white chocolate raspberry layer cake for dessert the best! We devoured it! read more

The food and service was fantastic. Great portions and left full and happy. I will definitely come back soon.

Good service- extremely popular with the local community. I will stop by again when I'm driving through this part of Wyoming.

Good down home 'cookin.' An large selection of meal choices and good service. We will make this stop when heading through. They are most famous for their breakfasts and turkey entrees. read more

Ok. This is not a place for foodies. If you consider yourself one, or thinking you might be? No, it's not for you. But, if you maybe get a bit sentimental about diners, locals, old fashioned filler-up food, you might like it. This is diner food. Open faced sandwiches, lots of carbs and protein to get back to work on. Large amount of food for a decent price. Are you getting a unique tastebud experience? No, unless you've never been to a Midwest diner. Are you getting a good amount of calories in a basically satisfying way, with waitresses who actually care about whether you are happy? Waitresses who wouldn't understand the why you didn't like it? Yes. 4 stars for intent. read more

EXCELLENT LOCAL FLAVOR: BEST corned beef hash I have ever eaten! Had onions added, too. Asked the owner, Jody, the brand . . SHE GAVE ME A CAN OF IT! VERY nice folks! BIG biscuits, tasty hashbrowns, perfectly cooked eggs: Venice, Jody's daughter in law, even asked if I wanted my basted eggs soft, medium, or hard . . . First time I've been offered a choice! What a COOL PLACE! read more

I've stopped here many times in the past and Jody's is very consistent and top notch in both service and quality. The only complaints I ever have here is when I'm passing through and they're closed. The Over Medium eggs were done just right, not easy and runny. The hash browns were cooked perfectly crispy as ordered. I'll be back here as soon as my travels bring me back thru and for a long time to come. read more

Jody's Diner - Jody's Breakfast 2 Eggs, HashBrowns (I ordered crispy), 2 sausage patties the size of a burger and Sourdough Toast - Diners Near Me - Evanston, Wyoming

Nice Family Diner. Breakfast served all day. Burgers, onion rings, French fries. They have parking for semi trucks. I had an omelette with ham, onion, jalapeño, black olives, green pepper, & mushrooms. Wheat toast and hash browns. Hubby had ham and eggs. The ham was a nice thick slice. We were full and satisfied with our meals! We will go back. read more

Driving thru and it looked like a great place. Ordered the Rueben and Orig steak Philly. Do NOT get the Rueben, pastrami (or cornbeef- not sure) was tough, chewy and tasted like ham. Bread was toasted but soggy. Onion rings soggy. Philly bread was not toasted. May try again but not those items... read more
