I sat stage right, at table 311 and had a clear view even though it's labels as partial obstructed. The two columns on that side of the room are thin and aren't anything to worry about. I walked the whole venue and the only area where views are truly obstructed are inside the bar area, especially at the ends of the bar. The sound was great. The crowd was engaged but respectful. The food, drinks and service were all top notch as well. If someone you like is playing here, then you're in luck.

The BT ALC Big Band lit up the room with an incredible blend of big band jazz, funk, soul, and hip-hop, and the special guest, Nephrok!, brought amazing energy and personality to the stage. Jimmy's offered two great options for the night: a first-floor dinner-and-a-show package, and a third-floor countdown experience with a midnight champagne toast. The atmosphere was festive without feeling crowded, the sound was crystal clear, and the whole evening felt really well organized. Nephrok and the BT ALC Big Band were both outstanding -- tight, lively, and a blast to watch. Altogether, it was one of those nights you don't forget. Jimmy's continues to be one of the best live music venues around.

I'm sure glad we stopped by since everyone was in their Halloween attire and the music was on point! We didn't have a reserved table but they were kind enough to put us in a booth where we could see everything. The owner was kind enough to introduce himself to us and even offered us a green tea shot! One for the win! The waitress was amazing and although it got really busy in the later part of the evening, she never forgot us and was always attentive. I love Cambodian food (especially finger food to snack on while drinking) and their menu did not disappoint. So about the drinks....it was some of the best and most creative drinks that I've ever had! I've been to the Red Door in Paris (second best bar in the world) and this place beats it by a mile long! My cousins and boyfriend throughly enjoyed this place and we are definitely going to be regulars here! I hope they have holiday theme events here...uh humm (Ugly sweater Christmas weekend....Santa con.....New Years Eve)

There's never a cover charge, but there is a one drink purchase minimum. Mixed drinks/cocktails can be a bit pricey, but for the entertainment you're getting, I'd say it's pretty worth it. It's also a pretty small (but cozy & intimate) setting, so if you show up later in the evening, there may only be standing room. Most recently, I went on a Thursday night, and turns out every Thursday they have a Latin Jazz band starting at 9:30/10pm! It was SO fun and people were dancing and just having a great time. As soon as I opened the door, before I had even stepped inside, the bartender shouted "ID!" from across the room while making a hand gesture. I politely said I would have appreciated being asked in a more respectful way, and his response was: "Get out, I don't need the attitude." I have never been asked to leave a venue before, especially for politely expressing that I found the way I was addressed disrespectful. After reading other reviews, I noticed that I'm not the only customer complaining about this bartender's behavior.

For 5 bucks, I received a huge ego boost and a greater understanding of why Boston loves to dance! A word to dates: if you come here with a special someone, expect that you and your partner will dance with other people. Don't worry: it's nothing personal! After the lesson, the studio turned into an open dance featuring live music from Chelsea Reed and the Fairweather Five, an amazing swing band from Philadelphia! The floor was jumping and everyone was having a blast cutting a rug. I personally asked to dance with several people and was surprised to find how gracious and encouraging they were in accepting and subsequently dancing with my square self. The dancers here are very courteous and interested in the improvement of everyone in the club. The snacks and water were provided in copious amounts. The community is strong in this one.
