Custom Offsets - The wheel smh looks nothing like the one on the box or that I ordered

Custom Offsets

(Original Review) The wheels would have been great, if…read morethere hadn't been a manufacturers defect. Unfortunately, we bought the wheels a couple of months before installing them, assuming they would be great. When it came time to install them 2.5 months later, we found out there was a bad manufacturer's defect in one of the wheels that could be seen with the naked eye. Also, it was severely out of balance and the wheel cap didn't fit. Customer Service was super lacking. Phone number just leads to voicemail or referral to email them. Emailed them, and they basically said "not our problem, it's been over 30 days, you have to contact the manufacturer." So, we did, and the manufacturer's representative said "it's no big deal, we will replace it, but you do have to go through Custom Offsets." Ultimately, the ONLY option they gave us was: We had to pay for another new wheel, wait for it to arrive, make an appt and pay to have the tire swapped, and pay for shipping to send it back so they could "inspect it and refund us." Long story short, they sent updated every 2-4 days for nearly a month saying "the inspection hasn't happened yet" (keep in mind, the defect was VERY apparent). Finally, we called VISA and submitted a dispute (after 6 weeks of back and forth with this terrible company). They looked over our documentation and agreed that Custom Offsets was wrong, approving the dispute amount for the one extra wheel we were forced to purchase) Ironically, the SAME DAY VISA opened the dispute, we received an email from Custom Offsets saying the inspection was "complete" and the refund was being issued. I have to believe this was NOT a coincidence. I guess you just have to get the big dogs at VISA involved before they quit playing games with you. Save yourself the time and effort and buy from someone else. (UPDATED REVIEW) After posting reviews online, a representative from Custom Offsets reached out with a sincere apology for our troubles.  He was very nice, and even offered to send out an extra wheel for future use in case it is needed.  This gesture was appreciated, but I do wish they had put more of that effort in the first stages, before having all of the troubles along the way... It would have been the difference between a 5 star review and a 2 or 3 star... We understand that things happen, but the response from the company makes all the difference.

Very disappointing experience with Custom Offsets…read more I purchased a set of Blaque Diamond BD-O102 wheels through Custom Offsets. After installation, my truck developed severe vibration at highway speeds, particularly above 65 mph. I have already spent approximately $400 out of pocket having a professional shop mount, balance, remount, and attempt to rebalance the setup. The shop has been unable to get the assemblies to balance properly. They keep requiring additional weight, and the severe vibration remains. I contacted Custom Offsets expecting them to stand behind what they sold me. Instead of accepting a return or providing a reasonable solution, I was told to go back to a shop and have the wheels/tires mounted and balanced again, meaning I would have to spend even more money trying to diagnose a product that already isn't functioning properly. My biggest issue isn't simply that there is a problem with the wheels. Products can have defects. It's how the problem has been handled after the sale. I've already spent hundreds of dollars trying to resolve it and provided an invoice showing the work performed. I don't think a customer should have to keep paying different shops over and over before a company stands behind the products it sells. At this point I'm pursuing the matter through Katapult, which financed/leased the wheels, rather than continuing to spend my own money on repeated balancing attempts.

Given the fact that it was 90's outside and we still had a several more hours of driving over the weekend, we decided to look up a place in Green Bay to see if they could take a look. Auto Select popped up on Yelp and we called. Even though all appointments for that afternoon were booked, they agreed to take a look for us. We got there an hour or so later, left the vehicle, and walked across the street to Dunkin Donuts to wait. About 15-20 minutes later, through the window at our table, we saw one of the mechanics not run but actually SPRINT to the car and pull it up to the garage for service. This place was not lying about their exceptional service. They kept us in the loop via phone about the areas of the car they were inspecting and what the associated costs would be. Ultimately we ended up having to replace the compressor, which was a bummer as it was not cheap, but the price they quoted was fair and we were happy they had the part on hand. All in all, only took 2-3 hours and we were back on our way. AC is working again and we were happy to be kept cool the entire holiday weekend. Thanks Auto-Select! Side note: If you need a place to wait, would recommend Wise Fools Pub down the road. $2 beer on happy hour! Can't beat that price!

I just picked up my truck after I dropped it off short notice , had trouble with my stability…read morecontrol going off and reducing engine power They said they could trouble shoot it in between jobs to find out what causes it, I was fine with that ( cause after all I just popped in there), just to get a general idea , but they went the EXTRA mile and actually got their lap top from Appleton to reset the electronics (updated ,set it to specs)on the electronic gas pedal I installed about a month ago. All this for a fraction what should have cost me. If you ever need anything on your car/truck done, please do yourself a favor and go here 1st these guys treat you the right way and will answer all your questions. This place is my number one stop with anything car related . Let it be yours too.

They will say things are wrong with your car that are not wrong and try to scam you for more money…read more I do not recommend using them. They will get the job done. If you already know what's wrong with your car and you tell them what you want they are not bad mechanics but if you go there and you don't know what you're talking about they will take advantage over you and screw you for every dime. I needed to get my axle fixed and I knew exactly what was wrong with it. I took it there and they told me everything up to my steering column was gone and needed to be replaced. The bill was about $2000 is what they quoted. And they try to convince income for me that everything needed to be replaced when it did not. Everything is just fine other than what I came there for.
