Cider donuts are fresh and delicious. Love the unique flavors. Will come back for their beer tasting.

The smell from the bakery as soon as you walk onto this property.... mHMMmMmM! Simply delicious. So this is my second time visiting Joan's Apple Bakery on the Delfino Farm and it does not disappoint. They over different types of desserts not just apple pic; they offer cheesecakes too! Besides great customer service, yummy desserts and tasty adult ciders, the surrounding views are so pretty. It's a great backdrop for those family holiday pictures. Be sure to add this farm on your Apple Hill adventures.

I came here to see the farm animals but I stumbled across this little bakery. It was so cute and everyone was super friendly!! I got the walking pie with a side of ice cream. When I say that is the best apple pie I've ever had, I mean it... and I'm not an apple pie person. The sauce they add really adds to it. I loved the shaved apples in the filling rather than chunks of it. It also was not overly sweet which I love. It's enough for 2-3 people! Definitely check them out! Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10

Yum! Wish I had this NOW!:)

The best stop in Apple Hill in my opinion! I so look forward to coming here every year! Joan's Apple Bakery is definitely off the beaten track. That is one of the reasons I enjoy visiting. Formerly known as Kids Incorporated, the original owner's grown children are now running the farm. And, wow, have they expanded operations! In addition to the same fantastic apple bakery goodies, a gorgeous, modern yet rustic, winery tasting room is now just steps away. I did not have an opportunity to either taste nor peek inside but I am absolutely keeping that on my future, "to do", agenda! A list of the available wines/ciders are posted in the bakery and I see they have my fav Pinot on the tasting list! And the buzz is three of the children attended the UC Davis Wine program. Those are certainly top notch credentials! On a sweet note, Joan's Apple Bakery was renamed in honor and gratitude to their Mother who started the entire enterprise so many years ago! I love that! So if you are looking for hot coffee, apple delights and yummy vanilla ice cream while enjoying the most serene, beautiful and breathtaking views, look no further than Joan's Apple Bakery at Delfino Farms! And you may find yourself leaving with a few bottles of really good wine!

We stopped by to visit 6 Apple Hill locations out of 50! The Walkin' Pie was excellent, which is basically an upside down apple pie with TONS of apple slices. It was not sweet with flaky crust , make sure you get the syrup on top! It was so filling to share with a side of cider. There are also vineyard in the back along with a view of the hill. It was an excellent location with friendly staff.

Walkin' Pies, one with ice cream and one without :-)

Heavenly Apple Pies! Joan's Apple Bakery is located in Delfino Farms. There is a fabulous family history that goes with the bakery. I am including a link at the end of this review to a very nice article about Delfino family and the farm which the bakery is a part of, and I encourage you to read it. But the short of it is that the bakery was a labor of love by the family's grandmother who has since passed away. The "must have" in Joan's Apple Bakery is the Walkin' Pie! There is nothing like it! Just take a look at the photo I have included and decide for yourself! The apples in the pies come from the farm, so it does not get much fresher than this. We always share one or two right there, and as if that is not enough, get another one or two to go!! The young people working at the bakery are wonderful. I love the fact that they are always smiling and willing to answer all your questions. There is a lot going on in the farm, so make sure to walk around a bit and check the place out after you've had your pie. It could help you burn a few of those wonderful calories you have just consumed! Here is the link to the article in Mountain Democrat: Delfino children, all grown up, say goodbye to Kids Inc., hello to Delfino Farms https://bit.ly/3aysqKP

We spent most of our time here. There was a lot to do including an actual u-pick Apple orchard. Apple Ridge Farms is dog friendly. BBQ and Bakery with a full menu including sandwiches, salads and sides. They had a special on apple pies this weekend... $20 for a whole pie. Picnic Area - got our lunch and enjoyed it in the covered picnic area. Love their fries! Apple Barn - frozen pies, pastries, apple cider, fresh apples, Christmas boutique Country Store - filled with jams, jellies, fudge, chocolates, and great gift ideas Nature trail - visitors are able to choose between an easy trail and a not-so-easy trail. We chose the easy trail but I think they are both easy. Flower trail - unfortunately our visit was in early November and we missed when the flowers were in bloom. September would be the best time to visit and check out the colorful zinnias. Free to access. Gem mining - daughter has enjoyed this activity in other places since she was little. She's 23 now and still has fun with this experience. There is a fee for this activity. Pop ups Artisan Crafters - arts & crafts including wood works, handmade jewelry, handcrafted soaps and candles, paintings, dried nuts and fruits. Unique finds! Face painting - we did not do this activity due to time constraints but daughter had wanted one of Patrick Starr (SpongeBob Square Pants)... next time! Portable toilets are on-site. I thought it was extremely rude. Yelp and Apple map both has this business open for business. How were we to know they're closed for the season?? What is wrong with these business owners that they can't treat potential customers properly? Or better yet, what is goin' on in this world that people can't be decent enough to communicate with fellow human being nicely and respectfully? Never coming back here and if you're reading this, please consider putting your money at businesses who treat people well. Besides I read their pastries aren't any good anyway. Ambiance: ghetto What could they improve on? They need to be better human first and foremost and then treat their potential customers well. Maybe make better baked goods.

If you go on a random Wednesday you took off specifically for your chef friend on her day off so you could come get her necklace fixed by Wave Gods? We nearly had the place to ourselves compared to usual! Neither of us actually remembered which orchard Wave Gods posts up shop at, but we weren't worried. We knew we would know it by sight, and we did! Wave Gods is a beautifully handcrafted jeweler. They're local, fair trade, high quality, fairly priced, and super friendly people. I found a lovely amethyst ring for just $30. And I can trust that it's going to last a very long time if I don't lose it. Wave Gods fixed Jenna's necklace in no time at all, did a cleanse on it to expel all the nasty aura ex bf essences, and she traded one of the beads he made her pick for one of her own choosing. You can have custom pieces done, be they rings, engagement rings, bracelets, earrings or necklaces. Super amazing shop. Check them out! Another excellent reason to stop by here is to munch on a fresh, hot, crunchy, sticky apple fritter. Good lord almighty I hadn't had one in several years but had been having a hankering. The fritter I ordered was everything. I would have wolfed the whole thing down right there but my tummy is what it is so I saved half for later. Delicious heavenly goodness. The duck pond is another fun feature where you can often watch dogs and their humans as well as ducks and geese of all kinds. I remember coming here with my grandparents when I was really little, and appreciate that it still looks the same as it ever did. Maybe not as immense as it seemed to kid me though. Cozy good times and food times at High Hill ranch. Most of what you come up to apple hill for you can find here, plus more craft tents than other orchards have. You may have to use a port o pot. It'll be fine. Vegan Corner: the Fudge Factory has vegan pies ! And gluten free for anyone looking.
