But my insurance company made it two clicks to get an appointment a few days later at Safelite and I figured that I might as well try it before having to go to the dealer and submitting paperwork for a reimbursement. When we showed up at around 9am a few days later, they had the replacement glass and the tech working on it (Nevin) not only had it ready in a few hours (complete with calibration), but even managed to move the inspection sticker from the old windshield to the new windshield. It was honestly painless, which seems like it's always never the case when it comes to car stuff these days.

First, they lost my piece for over three months. I finally showed up in person and it was found - minus the custom screws needed to put it back as it was intended. Undaunted I proceeded to try replacement screws and promptly cracked the $80 plus 13 x 17 or whether mirror they had installed. So I'm now down $80 plus $600 in refunds to unhappy guests at my AirBnb. We are now into moth 12 from the date I first dropped it off and the apparently lost it again. Do not make the same mistake I made. Do no give them your business.

It started raining at 6am. They should either cancel ahead of time or be setup to arrive with a canopy if the job requires a completely dry day. I offered to put the car under a tree, and the tech said nah. He just didn't feel like doing his job in the elements. Don't offer the service if you cannot deliver. If you know the starts out inclement do not wait until afternoon to make the call to say I cant do it, and then when I complain come back with BS like I'm sorry you feel that way. I waited to see anyone for about 5 minutes, before I went in to the office and no one was there. I saw in the garage that it was empty. I returned to my car to look for an available appointment online, since it is such a tiny crack, it should be a quick fix, right? A tall man came out and asked what I needed, I said I was looking for an appointment for a tiny crack to be fixed. He said they didn't have any appointments available (even though they closed 40 minutes later), and didn't ask to see what it looked like. Just "too busy," with their empty garage. I think they just wanted to leave early. I don't recommend this location. I had much better luck & customer service in Beverly, and it only took 10 minutes to fix. Also, I called Safelite 4 times before being able to be connected to a centralized call center person, who then tried to connect me to this location 3 times herself. They have no receptionists at any locations, and Safelite should make it possible to contact local locations through one of their phone options.

Ok, it could be all that highway driving that I do…read more Something always ends up getting kicked up by the vehicles in front of me, and then BAM, it slams into the glass, and all of a sudden there's a ding, and a crack that just starts creeping across windshield. I most recently used JN Phillips for replacement. The woman on the phone who set up my appointment was extremely helpful. I only had a few days until the end of the month, and I needed to have my car inspected before then as well. And it was supposed to be raining for days, which would mean that I'd need to go to their location, since neither my house nor my office have a garage. Well, she was checking the weather for me, and set up the appointment at my home just in case it didn't rain. Luckily, it didn't, and a couple guys from their Malden location came out and fixed my car right up. They even stuck the velcro pieces from my fastlane to the edge of my rear view so I could put them back on. (Last time I had my windshield replaced, they took them with the old glass, and I had to get new ones from the fastlane folks.) I'd use them again, and knowing my car, will likely have to.

Received a confirmation for Monday after between 12-5. At 3:30, I checked my confirmation online because it had been getting late. Surprisingly, the company changed my appointment to Wednesday...WITHOUT CONTACTING ME TO CONFIRM. When I called the woman I spoke with kept trying to call the different departments to figure out why it was changed but she "just didn't have an answer for me". She asked if they could do it Wednesday. Sorry JN, people gotta work and I've already lost a half a days pay for YOUR ERROR. All set with this company. Changes your appointments at their discretion and they don't let you know at all. Way to run a business!

Tried calling JNP to replace my windshield for the second time in about eight months (I log a lot…read moreof highway miles). After ten minutes on hold I called someone else, and I am very glad I did. The hold time is not the problem though, that's just me being impatient. The problem was when the new guy replaced my glass, he pointed out what a crappy job JNP did a few months earlier. They didn't seal it properly which allowed rust to form on the inside, they scratched my paint, and they used lesser quality glass. He explained to me that their business model is based on cheap labor working quickly and how long the average person owns a car vs how long before the problems in their shoddy repair work becomes apparent.
