I hired S & J Electric - Jonathan who is the owner of this establishment. He came and did the work for me, just to find out that he has done things AGAINS THE CODE/RULES. Cost of his work was $4000 - lots of money for the work that was done wrongly and putting my family at risk. At this time I have to hire people to come and correct the issues that Johnathan caused or created. I have contacted Jonathan and informed him what the inspector said that his work did not pass the inspection and that his work needs to be corrected. At first Jonathan was angry and said that he doesn't want to waste his time coming back to correct the issue, but after while he promissed that he will come and correct his mistakes - no show ups few times. This is very unfortunate as I really liked the Johnathan and his father and have hoped that I have found a good electrician that I can utilize for many projects in years to come. Now I have to report him to the governing entities.

The previous owners used Suburban, so we continued. We purchase an annual maintenance contract for $280 a year like the previous owners did. Recently, I found out that it includes ONE checkup per year, parts extra with 10% off. If you need an additional checkup that year, you are charged $129. plus parts. Last checkup was Jan. 2025, so when I called in October for a checkup (generator did not turn on during outage), I was told the charge would be $129. I called back in November, and I was allowed to count a 11/10/25 appt. as my "annual checkup" since I paid the $280 in September. I was confused but happy to not have to pay $129. Brian was excellent -- Five Stars Courteous, he put paper slippers on his shoes when he came into the house. Summary of visit: He replaced the dead Battery, Air Filter, and two Spark Plugs. He checked the power source, valves etc. He explained what he did. I received an itemized bill and 10% off the $225. Battery.

At 9 am on the day of the appointment, I called the office to confirm because I had not heard from anyone at SSG. Dawn said that yes, I was on the schedule. I was not told that I would need to answer a call from the technician, or the appointment would be cancelled. I missed his call. A message was left that I needed to reschedule. To make this worse, I have been loyal to SSG. For 4 years, I used them for all my furnace needs. But in 4 years, they have not been here to service the AC. Even though I confirmed my appointment, I was cancelled with no notice. I have not been a no-show for an appointment with SSG. When I spoke to the office about why this happened, I was hung up on during the phone conversation. This is offensive and rude behavior regarding the cancellation and the hang-up. Under these circumstances, I can not continue with SSG. If you use them, be aware that their customer service is not up to modern standards.
