For months, I was dealing with a zone that was suffering from voltage spikes and producing false alarms left and right. I called my monitoring company to do repairs. First, they sent someone out to replace a contact (even though that was clearly not the issue) and billed me for hours of troubleshooting, then I was stuck calling back in countless times trying to reach the "right" person to resolve my issue - all while having 2 to 3 false alarms per day! Finally, I got fed up and called Catskill Security Systems. I called them and - boom - got a service appointment the very next day. Joe came out and diagnosed my rather complex issue with ease. After an hour or so, my system was back online and not a false alarm since. Thank you Joe!! I can't emphasize enough just how much more knowledgeable and professional this team is compared to other security companies in the area. I have a background in electronics and software engineering, so it's hard to bullshit someone like me when it comes to fixing low voltage circuits. Where do I start? From the beginning have had nothing but issues and mis-representation. I had…read moresomeone come out about a year and a half to get the ADT deal with Ring bell, window alarm and inside camera for free but when the man came he said he couldn't give us that deal because he didn't work for ADT he was just another company that connects it. When I called ADT to cancel them and go directly to ADT they told me they wouldn't be able to cancel them and start a contract with me because they would be dishonoring them contract with the company. Well then I had to replace my transformer to my bell because the man neglected to tell me what the wattage should. That cost me for a contractor to do that. Ever since we got the bell it has said slow connection even after I upped my speed of internet. Now it records nothing moving but says it detected motion. From the beginning it would only record for 30 seconds at a time and when I finally got through with ADT supervisor he said there is nothing they can do about it. Only records for 30 seconds at a time. So if someone breaks into my house I will have 30 of time to identify their face. The camera inside my house is worthless and doesn't record at all. You really should stay away from ADT. Not an honest or worthy hone protection company at all. I only gave them one star because I couldn't give them a zero star. Find another alarm company. It's best for your future safety.

Mind you, we were paying a monthly service fee for any services that were needed. After fulfilling our side of the 2 year contract, we called to cancel. We were told there would be no kore charges and then the next month my card was charged. Called ADT again and was told the funds would be refunded to my card. Here we are almost 3 weeks later and still no refund. Lesson learned for me will hopefully help someone in the future when they think about doing business with ADT. Don't do business with ADT. Stick to the ring or blink cameras, they work 1000% better and don't cost nearly as much.
