Fast forward 3 months and I had to call him again when a large Ash fell on the back of my house, destroying the deck and doing damage to my Sunroom and roof. I am very grateful for Sweet Tree for responding quickly and getting that tree off my house, cut up and hauled away for a fair price. He took photos for me to share with the adjuster, left everything very tidy, and also cut 4 stumps for me to sit on around my future fire pit, in addition to stacking up a manageable supply of wood to burn. Upstate Tree and Excavation gave me a quote to bury a culvert and set up a drain system for a new…read morelawn area. They were quick to arrive, kept two appointments digging the channel and burying the culvert. Rather than get a third culvert, they advised that too much erosion below would result, and that instead they would bring in a load of rock to cover with soil to complete the task. That was in May. They took payment for the whole job at that time, even though it wasn't complete. After a couple of exchanged texts and brief replies over the summer like "of course we'll come back", they have now blocked me from sending text messages to their number and have evidently decided to keep the money for the remainder of the project and not return? It has now been over two months since they promised they would return. They did good work with the initial part of the project and were a pleasure to work with. I did not frequently text them, I'm not sure what happened, but they did not finish my project and the kept the remainder of the funds.

He returned several weeks later to do the pruning - probably the tree's first in over 50 years. The tree is now much lighter and looks great - cant wait for this year's crop of apples! Do not do business with this company. Demand proof / certificate of insurance and bond PRIOR to doing business with him if you are foolish enough to do so. And if he brings along any so called subcontractors or friends be very wary. They will vandalize your home and property. ------- I would prefer to give 0 stars but I'm forced to give one. Used them once three years ago. Brought along a friend of his who wanted to try and sell the wood. The friend left a machine behind and left the bucket of the machine digging into our blacktop, which started to rip as a result. We had to move the machine because it was left on our property for days. The "friend" of Jerred's came back, demanded payment because his machine had simply been moved, and when we refused, he took a pin out of another machine that didn't belong to us that was on the back of our property. Be careful who you hire. That pin cost almost $500 to replace. Never heard back from Jerred. Definitely not worth the trouble. Find someone who actually can prove they're insured, and don't let them bring "friends"m
