Diego and his crew worked SO HARD. Our project was done in July 2025 and it was so hot out, but Diego and his guys wanted to finish our project for us before the summer ended. Diego was always communicative, kind, professional, knowledgable, and such a pleasure to work with. He worked with us on our budget, gave us multiple options, and made the best recommendations. But the Kohut team instantly put us at ease, and have been fantastic. For starters, they're just a pleasure to work with. They're all friendly but unobtrusive. They're happy to work on their own without ever interacting with you, but they're quick to return a wave or a smile. They also work VERY hard. You are definitely getting value for your dollar here. Furthermore, I TRUST these folks. That previous landscaper I mentioned kept using increasingly-dodgy-looking workers that left us feeling a bit nervous. In sharp contrast, the Kohut workers all come across as intelligent, responsible, and respectable. And the results? In a word, beautiful. When we first moved into our house 15 years or so ago, the yard was a bit of a mess. Now it's among the best in the neighborhood. These guys are not just hard workers: they also have a great eye for layout and design and color. Even more importantly, instead of foisting their vision onto us, they have worked with us to find a design that fits in with OUR vision of how our home should work. In addition, we have some unusual requirements such as a certain attachment to existing flora and an aversion to toxic chemicals, that the Kohut team accepted without batting an eye, and then worked within those restrictions. While we use them primarily as landscapers, their talents extend far beyond that. For instance, we had some cracks forming in our concrete steps, which they repaired seamlessly. (I can't even remember where the cracks were; that's how seamlessly they fixed them.) I've also recently learned that they do snow-plowing as well, and we'll probably take them up on that for heavier snowfalls. I'm sure you could find cheaper landscapers, but I doubt you could find better, and I'm almost certain you won't find better value for the dollar. We've worked with Kohut and Son for years, and we plan to work with them for years to come.

John and his team did not disappoint! they went above and beyond my expectations. I love the plants he selected and the fact that he considered the natural factors of the area (sun light, shade, pollution, etc)...They even replanted and remulched my planting beds and power-washed my front entrance. Called and they said clean up was not included for the stumps only the trees. Told me that they could send a crew to clean up for an additional fee. $1200.00 and an extra fee to remove the mess? They left the stumps too high which resulted in the mounds of shavings. Clearly they should be responsible for the mess they created. But refused to properly address the problem. Anyone need shavings? I've got about a yard of them in total. Avoid them. Customer satisfaction clearly isn't in their vocabulary.

Last Spring we hired this company to renovate our front lawn. They came & did the work, but we…read morewere not pleased. Our front yard was torn up & not evened out after roto tilling, & there was still a huge amount of thatch left unraked. We called to have them come back. They said it looked good. We said that it did not, and asked them to redo the seeding. They did. When the grass started to come up, we were horrified to find that there were 2 different colors! I placed 2 or 3 phone calls to the company to say that we were very unhappy. Our calls were not returned. I spent all of last Fall re- raking and dethatching my lawn. It was an enormous amount of work, especially as I have a bad back, and am no longer young. When Spring came around this year again, I had to dethatch my lawn again because so much thatch had been left unraked by the company to begin with. I also had to reseed, to try to get the lawn all one color. We specifically told the company that we needed to have our lawn looking great, so that we might have the option of putting the house on the market within a couple of years. This company was highly recommended, so we are very put out and disappointed. We paid a lot of money for the work, & I ended up having to redo everything myself by hand. I am including pictures of the patchwork looking colors of the lawn, as well as the wheelbarrows full of thatch that I raked and hauled back into my woods. I would definitely not recommend this company.
