Jose, owner, paid me a visit shortly after I entered a request with Angi, he shows up and within an hour, I get a good estimate (other companies took 2-5 days to send me an estimate) and an hour later he asked if I could review the estimate and to begin the project since Portland was iced in. I had 4 different crews for various aspects of the project, each team was well coordinated, communicated within the team and with me as the customer. They were safe, efficient, treated my property like their own, avoiding any further damage to an already huge mess of tree due to the January 2024 winter storm around Woodland, WA. Due to the multiple aspects of the project, multiple tree removal, his estimate was half as much as other companies. The present job involved trimming and proper pruning a weeping cherry tree, our neighbor's very overgrown Leland Cypress coming over into our yard, and heavily trimming a giant snowbell hydrangea. He gave us thoughtful ideas on what we needed, assured me he wouldnt kill my favorite hydrangea and then took the time to come to our rear yard and look over two additional projects, which he also gave us bids on. All the information was clear and useful, and the bids werent necessarily cheap (but taking down 200+foot trees isnt going to be) but they were reasonable, and I like that they are actual certified arborists, not just tree trimmers. The work was started on time, beautifully done and the two gentlemen cleaned up every bit of debris and clipping. Masterful We will absolutely be calling New Day back to finish the other two projects. No nonsense, no pressure, no selling you more than you need. Very much recommend.

The bid seemed reasonable for the amount of work to be done. On the day of the cut, crew were not only on time, they showed up 15 minutes early. They were friendly, efficient, did the work they said they would do and made sure the place was clean. A. couple of fence boards got broken when a limb fell and they promptly replaced the fence boards with new ones. I would recommend them and hire them again.
