This place has everything you need and great customer service. I had a special needed tool for my jackhammer. And usually it's ordered through the Internet and wait five days. But these guys had it for us. read more

For mechanic this place is perfect. They have a lot of specialty tools that you would need. There are very few stores like this. It's a better alternative than going to harbor freight or searching for a tool truck. read more

They have NEVER disappointed. When you need a tool supplier other than an cookie-cutter, faceless big box, then these are your guys. All in a small, arguably cramped store, they are "GO TO" if you are any kind of informed buyer. And this is across Sherman Way from Home Depot where you're lucky to find anyone who knows #%&*)@!. read more

100X better than your big box store the staff is very knowledgeable and are able to answer most of your questions and more. The amount of tools they have is insane and also a lot of specialty tools that you can't find at Home Depot or other local hardware stores. read more

Our shop was in a bit of a bind today, we needed a water pump locking tool for a 2.4 Chevy. Called one of my associates and he recommended I check JM tools. It's such an obscure tool that I honestly did not think they'd have it. I decided to give them a call anyway and lo and behold they actually had it! The people running this place were very kind & helpful. I'd definitely recommend checking them out for any tools you may need. read more

I love JM!! But they got it correct their entry in Yelp and Maps!!! They are not ever open till 5 PM . They're open until 4:30 p.m. during the week . On Saturday they're open till 4 PM. Closed Sunday !! Because it's 445 and they're all locked up and gone home . So you can't trust iPhone maps info. On the other hand there's nothing like JM Tools... They are the best read more

I found this place while waiting for our table at nearby Salsa & Beer. Wow! If you like tools, mom & pops and people who know tools, then this is your place. The tools I found (a couple of garden saws) were cheaper than at Home Depot plus there was more variety. Even if it were a little more expensive, I would pay for the chance to receive good personal service and support a small business. Am going back today to buy a rake. I know I will leave with more, but I will not regret it. read more

Service very slow an over price I try to retur a tool but they don't take.it back because they say I used but the cashier say I refunded you money an then look the tool an change hair mine an she need to come Monday an talk to the manager read more

Good tools a little bit expensive but reliable tools friendly going to buy more from them little by little

I've shopped at JM Tools for years but finally I got fed up with their high prices for cheap Chinese tools. Two examples today: tire tread depth gauge $2.99 at O'Reilly and $4.98 at JM. Second was a set of torx sockets - $9.98 at Harbor Freight and $18.98 at JM. Also keep in mind, these other retailers offer returns with no questions asked and JM is no refunds. At all. I could go on with other examples but just be aware this is not the lower cost option, in spite of the 'lower cost' appearance. The two stars come for the staff that will help you find something in their very packed store and they do have some pretty obscure tools. So, if you can't find it elsewhere and want to support a local retailer, go for it. read more

They have all those things that no one has, unless you go to amazon. We need to shop there, it's a Mom and pap shop that needs to stay open. If you can't find it anywhere, they will help find it in the store, or you can go through amazon and hopefully it's the tool you want. It saved me days!!! Thank you JM tools read more

This is a versatile and interesting store. You find odd tools that may not be available elsewhere. The inventory is so mixed I have a hard time remembering what was there. Hard to compare this place. There certainly is some overlap to the hardware stores assortments, but you are sure to be surprised by items you did not know existed. I don't see any problems with customer service. They are friendly. read more

Just wanna share their new look. Staff is still the best,! They are all helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. This place has a lot of hard to find products. read more

Jm Tools - Building Supplies Near Me - North Hollywood, California

What a fantastic place - I felt like a little kid in a candy store. Totally knowledgeable and helpful - reasonably priced. Had things that other places did not - really helped complete a job - I didn't have to wait around for an Amazon shipment. I am so happy I found this place! read more

I came here a couple of days ago to get a part for my sander. In fact, I was at the Home Depot across the street before coming here. Home Depot did not have the part, so the guy over there recommended that I try this place. Anyway, first impression, when you walk in, is Wow! So many tools in such a small space hanging from all over the place. The woman at the register didn't know anything cause when I told her what I needed, and even pointed to the sander hanging on their wall, she said no we don't have it. So, as I was walking out, the guy who works there asked me about what I needed and took me right to it. Anyway, they had the part, but unfortunately, it was too expensive. So I left and called Makita's Corporate center for help. They pointed me to the right direction, and I was able to get the part at AAA Tools at 60% less cost than here. I guess if you're really in a bind and need something quickly, this place would do; otherwise, they're too expensive. By the way, the same Makita sander was $49.99 at Home Depot, $69.99 at AAA, but $89.99 over here. My advise for the owner is to be more competitive, if he wants his business to really thrive. Peace :) read more

Truly a Diamond in the rough. After driving by JM tools for years on my way to the big box store, I finally decided to stop. I was desperately looking for heavy duty industrial wheels and casters for my material lifting cart. I walked in with my rusted wheels, and walked out with a set of quality replacements. Not only does JM Tools stock an amazing selection of hard to find wheels and casters, but they stock almost every tool you can imagine. The part of my visit that impressed me most was the level of customer service exhibited by the entire JM team. Maybe I'm just old school, but I really appreciated the fact that a knowledgable person was helping me find exactly what I needed and not trying to push "extras." I always try to support family owned businesses like JM, so make sure to give them an opportunity to earn your business too. read more

I always go here when I need a special hard-to-find tool and they always have what I need. I work nearby and like to come here on my lunch break to look around. I never leave empty handed, always a cool tool to buy! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Always a pleasure to shop here! read more

This is one of the best tool shops in the San Fernando Valley perhaps the state. They have everything.

What a rip off place. On 8-1-16 I bought a socket. While I was paing for it, asked cashier about thier return policy. He said, 48 hours only for cash back. So, I went home and tried the tool. It didn't work, becuase appeared to be wrong size. One hour later, when I went back to return it back, cashier refused to refund me my money. He said it was used. Basically, I didn't want to argue with him and I left the store. read more

They do have plenty of tools and equipment but it is twice as much as other tool places,I went in there to look for a pull clamp that cost me around $65 bucks total and found out that Ebay carry the same tool online for under $28 bucks, found out that JM Tools policy is no refund unless withing 48 hours from purchase with receipt but you can only get store credit and not your money back even if the tools or what ever it is still in new and unused condition. They need to redo the refund policy as to get your money back if in new and unused condition...... read more

This place has everything that we cannot find somewhere. I've seen men and some firemen hang out here on their break and they are just enjoying and browsing non stop. I find the staff very helpful and knowledgeable not like when I go to the big stores. read more
