Very unprofessional business - Melissa called me a liar. Employees asking for payment in cash and not reporting it to the company. The employees are stealing and then Melissa is stealing from the customers. I prepaid for a fall shut down which is not being done until I double pay. We have used JM Irrigation for sprinkler turn on and shut off and some repairs. I have found them to be very, very responsive and professional. I don't understand the review from 2014- that is nothing like I have experienced. I definately recommend them for home sprinkler set up and take down for the chain o lakes. read more

Needed my irrigation shut down for winter and decided to call JM Irrigation. Super friendly from start to finish. Reached out to set up my appointment, ask any questions I had, and Melissa from JM was very helpful to answer all my questions. The service tech Juan showed up, shut down my irrigation system, and took the time to answer any questions I had. My unground system was torn up when the village redid the street/sewers. Called JM Irrigation and explained the number of zones that were damaged. Called again a few weeks prior to appt. to make sure they understood the extent of the damage and that zones needed to be rebuilt beyond the valves. They assured me they understood. Crew that came out to fix the damage was not prepared and only attempted to fix two of five damaged zones. They said they were not prepared to fix the other zones and complained to me (the consumer) that the office told them these were simply repairs. And the work they did perform was bad - used 1/2 flexible tubing covering significant distance (I learned this when I had another company out to redo the shotty work). Sprinkler heads spaced oddly/with no foresight so they didn't cover the necessary area and had to be redone. They simply weren't prepared and tried to do the quickest fix possible when they should have said a different team needed to come out. Exchanged notes with the owner who said they would "fix the situation", but fix the situation simply meant that they would have the right team perform the rest of the work but they did nothing to address the work that was done poorly. I went with another company to finish the work who came prepared and completed the work on the remaining zones and also redid the poor work on the original zone JM rebuilt. I was charged for shotty work with no real attempt to address the problem. JM may do good work on a lot of jobs, but in this case they failed to listen upfront and then their team tried to handle something they should have left alone and I paid the price. read more

Do you value your money? If you pay for a service do you expect it to be done right? Do you like to work with intelligent businesses...ones that stands behind their work? If you answered yes to any of those questions DO NOT GIVE J M IRRIGATION YOUR BUSINESS!!!! These folks talk all sweet and nice. They make you feel like you are getting a good deal. They lead you to believe you are in good hands, and once you believe any of that is when you should begin to seriously worry. An irrigation system needs constant love and attention. Anything with water can leak and will need to be serviced. Where J M Irrigation goes wrong is they are actually in the business of sending invoices, not actually doing the work or standing behind the work they do. It took me a year but finally discovered they weren't doing much of anything. Sure they dig holes, but the techs who come to you house that speak little to no english are always late and in a hurry. The office staff, though pleasant, are not very intelligent and have little customer service skills. I hired them to cap my system off from going on my neighbors property. I had bought a model home and the irrigation system crossed the property line to cover what was once a parking lot for the model. JM Irrigation said they did the work, and I signed off with the builder that it was done, and was reimbursed. Well, as you can probably guess it wasn't completed. Later, my neighbors put in a fence and popped a line. JM Irrigation billed me for it and sent me a proposal for a couple hundred dollars to cap the line from going over to the neighbors property. I had a repeat leak within the year they said they would honor their work....nope, sent me a bill and said it wasn't a repeat leak. I claimed it was many times before the fix, how about having the repeat/non-repeat discussion before doing the work? If you disagree, say something, don't just ignore your customer. I was even able to prove it through their own invoicing....their reply was you just can't satisfy some customers no matter what you do!! SERIOUSLY??!!?? How about do the job you are paid for and quit scamming people? My last bit of advice...if you do fall victim to using this company, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PREPAY FOR ANYTHING!!! These people are always late, if they show up, and they cost the same as others in the area. DO NOT USE THEM! It may not be right away, but eventually you will see the light!!
