Instead of taking responsibility and trying to resolve the situation professionally, they are now claiming that the damage was already there before they started the job. It was NOT. They also left the basement access in a condition where I cannot even open it. The pull cord that is supposed to be used to open the access was pushed inside, leaving me unable to reach it and open the access normally. This is another issue that did not exist before their work and was simply left for me to deal with afterward. What makes this even more frustrating is the way I have been treated since bringing these issues to their attention. When I called to discuss the damage, instead of offering a solution, I was told, "Let me talk to the owners. I'm not sure if he's going to get back to you or not," and then the phone call was ended. That is an unacceptable way to treat a paying customer who is simply asking a company to address damage and problems that occurred during their work. There were also issues with the final price. The amount I was charged was higher than what I had originally been told, and I was not informed or asked for approval before the additional charges were added. I only learned about the higher total after the work was completed. I paid this company expecting professional service, clear communication, and respect for my home. Instead, I was left with a damaged floor, basement access that I cannot properly open, unexpected additional charges, and a company that so far has responded by denying responsibility rather than trying to make things right. Accidents can happen during a job. What matters is how a company handles them afterward. In my experience, the customer service and lack of accountability have been extremely disappointing. I am giving them the opportunity to correct the damage and resolve these issues appropriately. If they choose not to, I will update this review accordingly. The 'master' tech broke one, which unfortunately had to be replaced with a different color stone. The scope of the landscape lighting went from reviewing to fix or replace a few fixtures to replacing a long section of wire and old connections which ultimately caused multiple trips back to rewire, fix burnt out bulbs (they used the wrong wattage), and connections- all clear signs of unskilled techs who lack the level of quality and detail we were expecting.
