The contract says nothing about warranty's concerning installation or product. We were told that the flooring we purchased was guaranteed for 17 years. We paid a lot to up-grade to this flooring. Now we are stuck with a toilet we can't use.

On the way home from the big box stores we decided to stop by 5 Flooring & Plus showroom located in Lavon. We were immediately greeted by a professional/knowledgeable woman at the front desk along with the owner (J.J.). J.J. was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He has almost 20 years of experience in the flooring and tile industry. He was extremely patient with my wife and I as we were very anxious about such a large project. The biggest difference between talking to J.J. is you are getting an experienced person who has installed all of the products on the showroom and will be able to help you truly pick what is best for your family and budget. My wife was very impressed with how good J.J. was at picking out flooring, tiles and how up to date he was on what was in style now and what looks timeless. After speaking with him for a few minutes I knew we had found our company since we were talking to the flooring expert vs someone who had to take a course to be onboarded into the flooring department of the big box store. We ended up picking waterproof vinyl plank flooring, upgraded baseboards and tile for bathrooms and laundry room. The prices were very competitive and MUCH better than big box stores. We came in at the perfect time since JJ and his crew had just finished another job and were available to start work as soon as possible. The crew showed up on time and every member of the team was nice, professional and respectful. The team moved all of our furniture without any hesitation and treated everything as if it were their own home. They finished our entire home in about 2 days. His tile guys are true artists and made our kitchen look amazing! This is truly a family owned business and I met a few members of J.J.'s family during process and they were all wonderful. There were no surprises when the final invoice came in and J.J. and his team did everything exactly as promised. No more do it yourself projects for me! About 3 weeks later, all of the issues started coming to light. We called about the post-completion issues, and were told to "call licensed professionals about it." I promptly paid and Shawn, the Frisco store manager, continues to promise to come by and make these few quick fixes but never follows through. I've emailed the owner, Sharif Asad, and got no response. What's more frustrating is the fact that I got their information from the KRLD Consumer Team. I have even reached out to them to no avail. The Flooring was installed in my mom's house, after she was taken advantage of by another contractor who took ALL her money and did only half the work. I paid to have the flooring redone since the loose laminate flooring was unsafe for my 76 year old mother.

We had a very bad experience with this company. My husband had a verbal agreement with Scott to…read moreinstall tile in our shower. The crew was to start at 8:00 a.m. There were late getting to our house on the morning the project started, my husband had to call them about 8:20 to find out where they were at. They said they were on their way and had to make a stop. In the meantime, my husband had to go to work. Scott and his associate arrived about an hour late, and then became irritated because we hadn't purchased all the supplies they needed. We had no contract and they never outlined what they supplied nor what we were to supply. I then told them that my husband would come home from work within the hour and we could delineate what we needed to buy, agree on a contract, etc. We had the tile, grout, wall board, etc. At first, the contractor agreed to wait until my husband could get home and would start hanging up the wall board in the meantime. Then about 30 minutes later, Scott told me he was going to shut the water off so he could remove the shower faucet. I told him he needed to wait until my husband got home, which would be very soon. I didn't want to allow the contractor to touch our plumbing until my husband had reviewed the project with them. The contractor then became very impatient and upset with me, telling me that he didn't have time to wait another 20 minutes for my husband to get home. His time was much more valuable. I then pointed out that if he hadn't been late in the first place, we wouldn't have to wait for my husband to get back here to talk with you. Scott then became very verbally aggressive, which escalated into a full-blow argument between us. It ended with Scott telling me, "No women tells me what to do". Needless to say, I asked the contractors to leave our house immediately. Then Scott demanded $300 for his time and waited out on the lawn for my husband to arrive. My husband showed up within a few minutes of our argument, and Scott told my husband that he doesn't appreciate "a woman" telling him what to do. Needless to say, we found another contractor to complete our project.
