We had our exterior home painted by JK Painting. This included power washing to remove dirt and debris, trenching around the foundation a few inches to ensure paint goes below the dirt level. Sand/grind loose paint, caulk joints and knots in fascia boards and around door jambs. Prime wood that was either bare or going from a darker to lighter color and masking all windows and adjacent areas to protect from paint overspray. We also had some miscellaneous repairs that were needed. This included rebuilding two (2) dry rotted planter boxes that are integrated/attached to the house, replacing a couple of fascia boards and adding molding to a side garage. Additionally, we had a couple of more miscellaneous items repaired/changed out which I believe is where Jason (the owner) really went "above and beyond." When I asked him if he could replace two (2) broken roof tiles, without hesitation, he said "I can do that; I have a connection with a roof tile guy and can go to his yard and pick some matching roof tiles for you." Now it gets better, I had this old High Pressure Low Sodium outdoor garage light that was broken and an eyesore. I thought it couldn't hurt to ask Jason if he could change it out to a new LED motion detector. Again, without hesitation, he said "I can do that, as long as you buy the LED light of your choice." Not only did he change the light out, but he also rerouted the existing electrical cable for a better aesthetically pleasing look. And he did this all at a very reasonable price. Beyond being just a painter, Jason is very knowledgeable about construction/remodel type work which most people will find very useful during the scope of a painting project so they don't have to work with multiple contractors. I also want to mention that several of my neighbors have used Jason for their painting needs and I was able to go to their homes that Jason provided addresses to and look at the quality of work and talk to them about their experience with JK Painting. Every one of my neighbors were very pleased with the quality and service Jason provided; as I was too. References to me are the key ingredient to making an informed decision on what painting contractor to go with and Jason has many of them. Jason also has a big crew and gets the job done fast (with quality) once he starts. He has team members that have been working together for 20+ years and they work together well as a team. To Summarize: JK Painting is a class act, they are very experienced, do high quality work, offer reasonable rates, and go above and beyond for their customers' satisfaction. I can't speak highly enough about Jason and his team. My next door neighbor & I decided to have our two-story homes repainted badly & we needed someone who understood HOAs. Pricing was fair (not the highest or lowest) & they didn't try to hit my neighbor up for more additional charges, though I think they probably should. JK Painting came very highly recommended by our neighbor. He had a lot of exposure and feedback on them through his position at La Mesa Lumber. I'm grateful he recommended them because they did not pull in during my Yelp research and I might never have found them! We got about 6 quotes on different painters. One company gave the same quote as JK - BUT the person who gave us the estimate was not the owner. We just had our house painted by JK and his crew. The crew was run by Raul, and I can't say enough good things about the company and about the job they did. Their price was right in line with some other quotes we received, but their reputation in our neighborhood was what made us choose JK over the others. He arrived for the quote when he said he would, the quote was timely, and after we accepted his bid, he arrived right when he said he would to do the power washing. JK did a fine job with the washing, which included removing some significant mildew on one wall. We agreed on a time for the painting crew, and they arrived exactly on time. The painters we obviously very experienced and competent. They were also clearly a happy group, which tells me a lot about their boss and Raul, their foreman. They were polite and all were primarily concerned with doing a good job rather than getting out of there as quickly as possible. On the walk through there were almost no issues, and the few very minor errors were corrected on the spot. Now that we're done, we are totally pleased with the result. Jason and his crew just finished painting the exterior of my house, doing some stucco and drywall repair, as well as replacing a door leading from my garage to the side of my house. We are thrilled with the results. Our house looks fantastic. The crew really knew what they were doing and they finished in a very short time. It was clear that they are very conscientious and want to make sure the customer is happy. Jason spent a lot of time with me and my husband talking about what we wanted. My husband likes to perform repairs and maintenance himself to be sure that they're done right. He agreed to have Jason paint the exterior of our house. It's a seven year old manufactured house. We had some major work done by JK Painting, and the experience was first-rate. They came when they said they would. Each member of their large crew knew exactly what to do and they worked very hard for the entire day. They've been together for a number of years, and it shows. They took extreme care to protect from drips or dirt. Jason helped me decide what to do with our kitchen cabinets. They were showing a lot of wear so I decided to have them sanded and painted. He masked the area so completely that there was no mess anywhere; we didn't even have to empty out the cabinets! One of the doors was especially damaged from proximity to the dishwasher, but when the job was done, it looked like new. We had the entire downstairs painted, including double-high living room, and baseboards. We also had the extensive wooden railing painted on our staircase. He asked several questions also told me about the services his company offers. I told him I was getting a couple estimates, he was excited to compete against all comers! His Estimate wasn't necessarily the lowest cost, however his services included items that other painters offered at an extra cost. I accepted JK Painters offer and was informed of the timeframe to expect the work to be done. Also JK Painters won't take a dime of my money until I am totally satisfied with the Job. When I needed my house in Santee Painted, I got three estimates. Because JK Painting Services giving an analytical, knowledge-based, caring, detail-oriented estimate for painting the exterior of my wood-siding home, I went with them for the project. Now the job is done, and I could not be more happy! Polymer trim was added as the bottom of the wood siding and sealed to prevent any future dry-rot of the wood panels. A sample of the paint was dropped off for me to be sure I approved of the white from Sherwin Williams. When the team arrived, everyone was so nice, hardworking, and phenomenal. The team's foreman, Raul, was wonderful in every respect and even added painting some fencing for free that had not been included in the estimate---this was for aesthetics, to have side fencing in the front match the gates flanking the front of the home. JK Painting stepped in and saved us when our first painter failed us! Jason and his crew were so professional, polite and did a fantastic job in a sort of emergency situation. We hired JK Painting to paint and repair stucco on the exterior of our home. They arrived initially to cover the windows and power wash the exterior. Other than having the windows covered, we hardly knew they were here. It was all done quickly and efficiently. The next day, they arrived exactly on time and set up to ensure any plants and surrounding areas were protected.
