Highly Recommend Montgomery Paint Contracting! I had an amazing experience with Montgomery Paint Contracting. Ray was extremely responsive from start to finish, making the entire booking and planning process seamless. The final result looks incredible and came at a very reasonable price. Ray and his team were on time, addressed any feedback promptly and finished ahead of schedule. They used quality Dunn-Edwards paint and gave the house a thorough cleaning, sanding, primer coat, and two coats of color on each spot. They kept the site clean each day. The house looks better than new! It was really hot when the team painted and they were total professionals to work through it while taking care to stay hydrated and look after each other. I completely recommend you use Montgomery Paint Contracting for your next project! Cheers! read more

My husband's dad bought this house in 1984. He was the first owner. 42 years later and Montgomery Paint actually brought it back to life. I get excited every time I pull up now. The house looks beautiful. They did the whole exterior, both sheds, and the gated fence. The fence was the hardest part of the job and they still made it look good. Ray also fixed the fascia and a bunch of spots that just hadn't been taken care of over the years. That's what made the biggest difference. Ray and Antonio and the team really improved the curb appeal. Night and day. Also, I was impressed at how timely Antonio & the crew came everyday. On the dot!!!! Appreciate the work ethic. The quote was competitive and worth it. Ray is honest and professional. He actually explains things instead of talking over you, which I needed because I don't know anything about paint. Easy to get ahold of the whole time and made the process way less stressful. Would hire him again without thinking twice. read more

We had Ray paint our home in the summer of 2023, and he and his team did an excellent job. They were very thorough, easy to communicate with, and always followed up on any questions we had. More recently, after termite fumigation, we needed some holes patched and cracks caulked around the house. Ray's team was quick to come back out, address our concerns, and seal all the necessary areas. The follow-up service really showed how much they stand behind their work. They even left extra paint for us, which we really appreciated. Overall, Ray and his team are professional, responsive, and do quality work. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I recently used this company to paint my house and had a very good experience. I got multiple quotes and it might not have been the lowest quote, but it was competitive and representative of the final product. During final review there were a few missing spots which they took care of immediately. The owner Ray is very friendly, will work with you to determine what he can do to help you to get your house looking fantastic. read more

I had a great experience with Ray and his team. They did a great job on a very large project, including full interior, exterior, and kitchen cabinets. My property looks so much better. I'm very nitpicky, so I pointed out any and all things I wanted corrected. I highly recommend Montgomery Paint Contracting to paint your home. I had both the interior and exterior surfaces of my townhouse painted by this business and the result was outstanding. On their website they state that they are a family-owned business and that they value honesty and integrity and stand behind their work. This is 100 percent true. I know this because I am a repeat customer. Ray Montgomery, the owner of the business, wants his customers to be happy and satisfied with the completed job. He will collaborate with you to make sure your expectations are met. Thank you, Ray, and your employees for the job well done. read more

So, we needed our home exterior patched up and re-painted. We looked at 4 different painters, got estimates and liked Montgomery Paint the best. We needed the prep/repair to be thorough and it was. Ray, the owner, and Hector the lead, is very easy to communicate with. I had a few questions over text and Ray was very responsive and answered all my questions. I'll save you some time...if you don't want to get multiple estimates, just go with Montgomery Painting. You won't be disappointed. Plus, they are also VERY nice guys. Very respectful, cleaned up everything, top notch. read more

Needed to get this work completed on my 1920's Spanish Bungalow for last year or so, this was my first time hiring a contractor. My home needed significant stucco patching, stucco cracking repair, window wood rot replacement, and window reframing due to termites. The more information I got from various stucco and window companies, the more complex and confusing the project seemed to get. I called Ray on a complete whim while driving, told him all my issues and he was out in a couple days to give me a bid. First of all, finding a contractor that was willing to take on all my needs was a challenge. Ray came over and said his team could manage everything I needed and gave me the best price I had seen. Upon scheduling, Rays team was on site for roughly 6 and a half days and they were cruising. I had quite a bit of anxiety leading into the project and wanted to ensure everything I wanted done, got done, and got done right the first time. Although possibly challenging for Ray (haha), he ensured me that I hired the right team and to trust the process. Rays lead guys Eric (carpenter) and Luis (painter) were both great hardworking dudes who addressed all of my concerns and they lead their team effectively. Ray suggested we paint match both garage doors on the structure I share with my neighbor (included in the bid). Overall we completely changed the color of our house and trim, we had some trim replacement waterproofing, one window reframed, front door paint, garage paint, and mid week we decided to expand the scoop of the project and add the entire fence perimeter in there. This turned out amazing and improved/completed the overall look of my house. For the price Ray gave me to add that in, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get it done on the spot. Thanks for that Ray. Overall, my wife and I are really excited about the facelift and repairs we got from Montgomery Paint. Ray and his team are hardworking family men who do what they say they're going to do. I prefer to support these small businesses and we're really pleased with the work we had done. I'll be reaching out to Ray for any future needs I have. read more

We sorely needed our home repainted and to have many areas of the stucco redone, so we used Yelps "Have a Project" feature. It was later in the evening on a Saturday, and within only a couple minutes Ray from Montgomery painting was sending us a message, asking how he could help. He came out next day on a Sunday - gave us a very competitive quote, and we scheduled him to start work that Wednesday. What was so refreshing about Montgomery Paint was how easy they made it to do business with him, and how quickly they were able to come to the house and give us a quote and schedule. Once they arrived that Wednesday to do work, Ray and his team finished in the time they had quoted us, with no fuss or worries. They did an absolutely amazing job, and the house looks brand new! They did such a great job on the stucco refurbishing and paint that our old front door sticks out like a sore thumb now, so that's next on the list. If you are looking for a company that is easy to work with, responsive and friendly -- Montgomery Paint is highly recommended! read more

Montgomery Paint Contracting - The finished product! Looks like a new house. - Painters Near Me - Chula Vista, California

Not sure why it's taken me this long to write a review for Ray and Montgomery Paint Contracting, but, better late than never! The whole reason we decided to go with them is because of their great reputation here. We had interior paint and closet work done by Montgomery Paint Contracting back in April of 2024. Ray came over, gave us a comprehensive quote and a very flexible schedule as we were having new closet systems installed and needed Ray and his crew to be able to thread the scheduling needle. When the time came, Montgomery's demo crew came out and handled everything involved fast and professionally. Following them was the painting crew. Ray was very knowledgeable about what paint works best for our house and had everything necessary for the paint crews. The crew finished everything in great time and in a very professional manner. They were also able to address any additional small changes and request that we required. In the end, we're happy with the service and will definitely reach out in the future for any additional projects. read more

Ray and his team did a great job painting our home. He was responsive and informative, letting us know what to expect and when. This review is in reference to the painting of our recent home where we now reside. Although we've utilized him for three jobs (entire exterior of our old home 1,860 sqft, entire interior of our new home before we moved in, and lastly this review for the entire exterior of our new home 3,046 sqft). In the near future I have another job for them when I'm ready. Many optimistic things to say about Ray and his Foreman Ricky and zero issues. If you're looking for skill and quality look no further. My wife and I were so pleased we chose Ray and his team to paint the exterior of our home. We got bids from three different paint contractors (all established companies with great reviews) Ray happened to be the cheapest although he did state he wasn't the cheapest paint company around but provided high quality professional work at a great price. I honestly wasn't looking for the cheapest paint company but Ray was the one person who came to the house and didn't feel like he was trying to sell his brand, he was just coming to give me a bid like I'd requested and he was super polite and had a calm spirit, overall he was just really easy to communicate with. His team/crew did some serious paint prepping on the house. They even helped me scrape some old sears tex-cote off the overhangs which is a huuuuge job (it looks like an exterior popcorn ceiling type of cover) and it's not something they typically do, but he offered to help me do it which I paid extra for obviously but I was so happy I wouldn't have to scrape it all off myself which I what I had already started doing. His team was extremely hard working, very detail oriented, tidy/clean with their gear at the end of the day, and everything just went really smooth overall. Communicating with Ray each day was a simple task, I'd text him and he'd text me right back. After all the prep work was done, they started painting our house and one thing that stood out to me was at the end of the first day of painting, I text Ray at about 6pm to make one change which was that I wanted to utilize a darker shade of the body color to paint the gable ends (the corners of the rood) (initially we were going to paint them the exact same color) and Ray's response was that he could make anything we wanted to do happen. The very next day the painters had the actual paint color I had asked about and we're already painting the Gable ends. That's a high level of customer service. We were so pleased to work with you are your team Ray, the house came out looking amazing. Thank you so much! read more

Five stars to Ray for his professionalism. His response was not only immediate when I called, but met with me that same day to talk about the several aspects of our project: brick removal on alley wall and path, stucco work and exterior paint. An estimate was presented to us in less than 24 hours. Ray was very kind to meet with me two additional times to review and refine scope of work, and to assist me on selecting paint colors. Thank you, Ray, for letting borrow your color wheel! (I still need to return it!) The stucco team (Jorge and Paulino) did a wonderful job. The paint team (Ricky, Lismar, Luis, Jose and Gary) was superb. They were not only polite, hardworking, but true perfectionist, which was fantastic because, as a perfectionist myself, I would relax while the job was being done because I knew just by watching these guys how much pride they took in their work. Everything Ray's teams touched to repair and to paint was meticulously and beautifully done. If you decide to hire Ray, rest assure he will make sure you get all of your money's worth. His teams (stucco and paint) are truly the best and wonderful to work with. Great job, guys! read more

17 different colors Ray's crew used to paint the interior of our home! Not one drop, not one streak-perfection. They crew of 5 arrived, led by an amazing foreman, Ricky, on Monday and for the next 6 hours, taped, papered, & wrapped our entire home to ensure no damage. Then, they began painting. At the end of each day, everything was cleaned & organized. By the end of the week, we had a brand new looking home! They even painted the inside of every single closet. After our complete construction was done, Ray, himself, came back for touchups! I don't think we could have gotten any better. As Ray told us at our first meeting, "We aren't the cheapest, or the most expensive, we are in the middle & excellent." We highly recommend Montgomery Paint Contracting. read more

What is great about MONTGOMERY PAINT CONTRACTING is "everything." We dealt with the owner, Ray Montgomery, from the start to the end; He has a California Contractors State License, and adheres to the highest standards, if not going above and beyond. Ray selected premium quality paint, rather than the cheaper stuff - yes there is a difference ! His employees are craftsmen and not sloppy; they are responsible and caring; also, protecting the areas around the locations being painted; The work is done with ALL of the correct steps from the beginning and finished on time. Ray's motto is "if you are not happy, I am not happy." What that means is he wants his customers to be 100% satisfied and for some jobs he does not even request a deposit. I can attest to that. We have utilized Ray and his team for the exterior and interior of our own home as well as multiple houses and projects for the property we manage. We know Ray's prices are reasonable, given the attention to detail and quality materials he uses and, therefore, we do not need to get bids from other painters to find out what it costs for a mediocre job. Ask Ray for referrals and we are sure he will give you our name and telephone number. read more

We saw Ray's crew painting the house across the street and liked the work. Very strongly recommend. A couple days later I meet Ray and asked him for a quote. He walked our property with me and my wife explaining his process what is involved and how he goes about a job. He was very detailed and answered all our questions. His quote was under what I was expecting. Ray came to start the project on Saturday by pressure washing the house. Found some poor stucco and facia board. On Monday his crew came and started the job. The whole project took four days (we have a two story house). His crew is very courtesy and through. They were very careful with our roof too. Our house looks great and has drawn lots of compliments from neighbors. Thanks Ray and crew! read more

Our 70 year old home looks brand new! I have lived in this home since childhood and can honestly say that it's never looked better! Ray is great to work with and his crew is fantastic! Ricky and Antonio were here every day at 8 and finished at 5. The amount of prep work they did before painting is what really made the difference. The attention to detail on our original wood windows and our French doors made the house really stand out. I can't wait to have them back to do the interior of our home. I know that they will do a wonderful job and show respect and take pride in our home as if it was their own. These "old school" values are hard to come by and it's much appreciated!
