The owner Emerick is always so helpful here!! His team is also always very nice. I've came here many times for my old Subaru and he helped it last way longer than I ever expected it would. I always recommend him because he's fair, friendly, and honest. Recently I had a really bad experience at a dealer service center for my car screen radio and phone ( car play) and when i explained the problem to him, he didn't make me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about like the other place surely did. He actually went out of his way to understand the problem. He listened, tried to connect his phone to see what I meant by my car system always not detecting my phone each time I get in and out of the car. Within minutes he figured out I probably needed a software update. The only reason I even went to the other place is because my car is still under warranty and it was such a simple thing that they should have be able to fix, needless to say... I will NEVER NOT take my car to JK again. Going somewhere else is just not worth the time, or headache or dealing with someone who makes you feel like you don't what you're talking about. read more

I brought my Audi A7 into JK--I had trouble with an indicator light (twice reset by the Audi dealership), was in need of general maintenance, and a new set of tires. Emerick provided a reasonable quote, and I was able to do a safe after-hours drop off, which I found incredibly convenient. Emmerick just arrived to pick up my car to service it. His service is so excellent it saves me the time of dropping off my car and picking it up. My car is due for a 45K maintenance service and Emmerick's price is below that of the dealer even with the excellent pick up drop off feature. He told me that he recently purchased a body shop. Highly recommend! I was smelling raw gas and had problems accelerating in my 2002 Lexus ES300. Emerick and his colleague, Mario, diagnosed the problem, took the time to educate me about why the problem was happening, and shared multiple solutions free of charge! After I decided on the next steps, Emerick and Mario had the fuel pump replaced in 1 business day. When I came to pick up the car, I was surprised to see that they had cleaned the exterior of my car, but more importantly, the car was running quieter than I had ever remembered! I brought my Mini CooperS 2008 here due to engine not starting up normally and check engine light came on. I was recommended by a coworker thinking that lets give this place a try and he stated that they are familiar with Minis. To be honest and fair, Emerick is very friendly, responsive and supposedly a comp'd my oil and labor for an oil change. Also, he may be better at other cars like Lexus, etc, but I'm not 100% confident that this place is familiar with Mini Coopers. This place charges about $150 per hour for labor and about $165 for diagnostic. Emerick plugged his diagnostic computer to review the codes that the car had misfire codes and the misfires came from all of the cylinders. As a result he recommended to repair the valve cover as it is plastic and mine is currently cracked and this is about $345 for just the valve cover. Unfortunately, if I was a car expert, I wouldn't of brought my car in so nonetheless, I went with his recommendation and authorize the repair. Total was about $1044, so I gauged that labor was about 3-4 hours plus minor other parts like spark plugs, etc. Oil changes can take only about 30 minutes max with the right tools and even faster with a lift, so I appreciated the oil change on the house but am not sure how much was complimentary. With that said, I drove it off the shop for a week or so and monitored it, but the initial issue i brought the car in didn't appear to be resolved. I brought it back in and went through diagnosing the codes with the computer. As a result, Emerick was 'pretty confident that it's carbon buildup' and he will need to purchase a walnut blasting machine to clear the buildup. He quoted me $1900 for two days of labor. With my gut instinct, I did not believe this was the problem but knowing there may be other factors to the quote he provided me, I checked with my previous repair guy. I brought it back to my previous repair guy and I was completely blown away with the quote he provided me, $1851 for parts and labor. He was able to repair all the issues (7 other diagnosis that was never brought to my attention from JK Automotive diagnostics). I'm completely at awe that all the issues can be all done within a day but yet, this walnut blasting would take 2 days to clean the carbon buildup. I also learned that carbons buildup is a performance issue and not an issue that would cause a car to not run. I do understand that different parts may trigger longer times than others, but I also feel that the quote received for the blasting is a bit excessive. I can only blame myself but I'm definitely disappointed in the service I received. As I'm all in to do honest business and perhaps this place is not experienced with Mini Coopers, I wished he would of communicated that to me of all the issues instead of telling me he's 'pretty' sure or simply admit that he is not sure what the problem is. Or spend a little more time to figure out the problems to familiarize themselves to Minis. Nonetheless, I believe the valve cover replacement is necessary to be replaced but it wasn't a priority nor the issue that caused the check engine light to turn on initially. Also, I do not believe there would be any kind of credit or refund to my initial service and repair (which I did not attempt to request for since taking it back twice did not result me with a fixed car to my satisfactory), so writing this review is most fair. read more

I had a engine installed and they did not do a complete job, the gaskets was not replaced and the oil pan was not replaced from the original engine Emerick blamed me for that not being installed he said I pressured him to get my car back and that is why he did not have it replaced. He said he would replace it but at an additional charge above the agreed price, there were a few other things that were done that should have been done when the engine was originally installed that I had to pay extra for. I will have it installed but definitely at this business, I had given his cards to some friends and after what I went through I asked them not to have anything done. read more
