My bill ended up being about $3600!!!! Picasso got my business by being 30% off on their estimate! Dwight, the owner did the estimate...the expert in this kind of auto body damage. Caliber Collision lost the opportunity to get my business because they provided an honest, mistake free estimate...while their competitor DID NOT! I hate the idea of honest business dealers losing to competitors that make "mistakes" that just happens to be a 30% more attractive cost offer. For a premium brand, this felt like a huge miss in customer experience and brand alignment. The gap between my car and the loaner was substantial and didn't reflect the level of service I expected. I understand loaner availability can vary, but customers should receive a vehicle that reasonably matches the quality of what they drive--especially when returning for a rework. This experience left me feeling undervalued. I even shared my feedback with the team onsite when picking up my car, and the response I received was, "It's a free car" and "Whelp, that is how it is here." That attitude was disappointing and reinforced the feeling that customer experience wasn't a priority. I hope they review their loaner policy and approach to feedback to ensure better experiences in the future.

I learned how to detail cars, work the tire machine, deliver parts all over to many dealers. Many years later, I got my first sales job there in October of 1999. They sent me to car sales school, and the following month I was salesman of the month! I have so many good memories of the people I worked with, some were still there when I came back the second time. I'm so sorry Don has passed and the dealership is no longer in business. I know Don loved the people he served and the people he worked with. He passed that on to everyone who worked there. I remember how we were supposed to stop and help any one we saw on the side of the road with a Don Jacobs emblem on their car. I would still do that.
