He has been here before and knows what's best. I ordered a torta w/ milanesa (breaded beef) and an order of the molcajete cielo mar y tierra was placed. My torta was SO good! The mayonnaise, cream, avocado, tomato and lettuce hit the spot! I'm picky about sandwiches, but you can never go wrong with a torta. The molcajete was a work of art. It consisted of beef, chicken, shrimp, cactus, queso fresco (cheese), onions & roasted chiles!! It was such a huge portion and every bite was delicious. Lastly the michelada was amaaaazing. Loaded with shrimp, orange slices, cucumber, tajin rim, & a tamarind candy straw. Good choice for a warm summer day. And our waitress was super nice & attentive as well. I'll definitely go back!

You order at the window, stand around while they prepare your food and either bring it home or eat at the outdoor picnic tables. We wanted this casual style, not table service, since we had a small window to eat. I'm giving it 2 stars because we were overcharged. We got a burrito, 3 tacos, a Jarrito and large horchata. Burrito is $10. Tacos are $4 ea x 3 = $12. So we're looking at $22 for the food. The prices for the drinks are not posted so I don't know how much they are. We paid total of $37.07. Sales tax in Brentwood is 8.75% so the total before tax is $34.08. So were the 2 drinks cost $12 total? Not likely. They overcharged us! I did ask for the receipt but they only gave us the credit card receipt. I should have asked for the itemized receipt.

A great option if you're looking for tasty pizza in the Pittsburg/Antioch area…read more This is a "MEHKO" (MicroEnterprise Home Operation Kitchen). Meaning, they make it at home as a fully licensed neighborhood business. They change their operating days weekly, so you'll want to follow them on social media to get info on the current week's schedule. The menu is well thought out, with rotating specials to give you options on repeat visits. I thought the pricing was quite reasonable, hovering around $20, give or take a couple of bucks. One pizza is enough for one person (if you're a light eater you may not finish). The service is good. The food is prepared inside, and cooked outside in their backyard in a small pizza oven. It cooks FAST. I want to say less than 10 minutes. As for ambience, it's a backyard of a suburban home. Totally fine. You can get the pizza to go or eat it there. They have a couple of long tables. ***** PLEASE READ BEFORE EATING HERE *****…read more I normally do not leave Yelp reviews unless an experience is truly bad, but after today I felt people should know before spending their money here. I chose Guadalajara because I had previously tried their food truck at an event and really enjoyed the food. For Mother's Day, my 17-year-old son wanted to do something nice for me and took me there with my other kid and my mother. Unfortunately, the experience was awful from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was completely dead with barely any customers, and the woman working the front register looked irritated that we were even there. She was unfriendly, rude, rushed us while ordering, and made us feel like we were bothering her the entire time. While ordering, we noticed there were no cooks in the kitchen. After we placed our order, she told us they were "running behind" because there were no cooks available. She also got part of our order wrong, specifically the type of meat we requested. When we politely questioned it after seeing the receipt, she immediately became defensive and insisted we ordered it that way, which we absolutely did not. She eventually said she would fix it before the food came out. The problems continued after that. The bathroom had no toilet paper, there were no napkins or utensils available anywhere in the restaurant, and every time we had to ask her for something she acted irritated and inconvenienced. When my food finally arrived, it was extremely spicy. When I asked why, she claimed I had personally requested it extra spicy, which never happened. At that point it became obvious she had rushed through our order and was not listening to anything we were actually asking for. The atmosphere felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming the entire time. My mother even went to get napkins from the car because she did not want to "bother" the cashier again due to how rude she was acting. I felt terrible because my son had good intentions bringing me here for Mother's Day, and he honestly felt bad afterward for recommending the restaurant. I appreciated his thoughtfulness, but sadly this experience completely ruined what should have been a nice family meal. I will never return here, and I would never recommend this place to anyone. Whether this woman is the owner, a family member, or an employee, management needs to understand that this level of customer service drives people away. Word of mouth matters, and customer service can absolutely ruin a restaurant no matter how good the food may once have been. One star.
